@Phocus Am inclined to agree. At least, if you have a personality where you want to reck everyone, to lose yourself in one activity. To have high demands of the standard you want to achieve in anything you do. I WANT TO WIN OMG?! lol bro get on my level. Or just the physical addiction. After a drug addiction, some people need to never do it again. And some could manage to establish a balance, just doing a certain thing sometimes while avoiding to make it something dysfunctional.

Oh, excuse me sir, it seems I walked into your spit, I'm terribly sorry for that. Will not happen again.. @Saitama +1 I think it does indeed take time to build an audience, so if you're serious about this Arnie, consider everything in the light of reasonability, as so you don't get ambushed by overwhelming problems through unnecessary miscalculations.

The continuation of good health, and the enjoyment of eating these. I rely on science, which if done correctly, attempts to be free from emotional desires of what should be true, and dogma. A methodology that is under constant change, always updating itself, in aspiration to reach the highest understanding currently possible. Rather interesting that you're attempting to use the ego card in a discussion. Insinuating that I've made an identity around eating these things. Well, two can play that game. Dhana, what would you lose if you did not eat grains, vegetables and fruits? What part of your identity would be threatened if you did not eat these things?
-
Phocus, buddy. I don't think we're getting further here. You haven't tried to show anything, just accused the other participant of trolling and using logical fallacies while refusing to actually address anything I've said, or considered the up-to-date science provided. It's right here, documented in black and white, for everyone to read.

Used to be playing wow like a fucking stupid person. (Referring to me now and not others) I'm currently battling putting of the games of DotA, which is a game of one hour matches, each starting on scratch for everyone, with the goal of destroying the enemy bases when you are strong enough. I fucking hate that it's so fun. I've been questioning if I really just need to put it off completely, if I am one of those people that can't handle doing the drug just once in a while, to only fall back into heavy addiction. I don't know. But I do know that, whatever you put energy to, gets more strength, gets more gravitation and becomes easier to do. Changes your homeostasis. I'm trying to put my energy into musical composition instead, as I think it will be a giver of so much more authentic happiness, to having constructed your lifework instead of played videogames. But it's not frikkin easy in everyday life man. Just one game ... just one game. ok. ah fuck i got a bad start, i wanted one game of a good game, so one more nice, a good game ... well, i just want to play one more, just one more fuck , i have to try that new combination i thought of. last one now fuck it i played the evening away... too late to do anything, now... lets play till i go to sleep FUCK MAN.

There is a balance in everything. It's annoying with hippies that have become delusional in feel-good reasonings, but I'd say it's equally annoying with hard-nosed people that have gone insane from staring themselves blind at logic.

@FindingPeace In a way, you're right. In a way, you're wrong. Note, what I wrote here is not necessarily that refined, I just went on writing with the flow, and most of it not addressed to you finding; It's not intended to be hostile to you finding I didn't mean what I said about overemphasis in relation to this thread if you thought that mate, I meant of what I've personally come across in a more general sense. Sometimes I write a response to a thread without reading the comments others have done You're right. As I said in my post, I think maybe one of the best things to do when confronted with danger, is to respond with what is needed, but without making any personal problem of it. Like, if someone engages a fight with me, I will respond, either with escape or countering attack. And preferably, if possible, to avoid generating a personal hate for the person in question or for his action. Just a problem solving phenomena, like opening an umbrella when it rains. Or not even battling it at all, calling it a day and just gtfo:ing to inside a building. I don't necessarily need to start a drawn out process of hating the rain. You're right that I might have used "forgiving" in a loose way, but notice that I said OVERemphasis. What my intention to mean was, that I'm a little bit sick of the overarching mentality of "turn the other cheek". Yes, we may all be one consciousness and boundaries are illusion. But I don't fucking care. Yo, if I want to hurt myself, I'll let myself know that I'll hurt myself if I want to hurt me. This is my incarnation as a human being. Don't tell me that there isn't a logical phenomena that I should defend myself if needed. That is the reason humanity has survived, if this instinct was not evolved, we wouldn't even have the chance to experience duality; how it is to be a separate perception. I think I'm tired of it because so many bullshitters use this rhetoric of non-defensive mentality. I am sick of some people's unhinged-to-reality opinions of how to interact in the world. I mean, just because it feels good to say that oh we're all one, make love not war, doesn't mean that it's actually a valid thing. In doing so, you're abandoning logic for your feelgoods, and leaving everyone else to do the reasonable thinking. I'm interested in truth. I prefer to look at the harsh reality of our bloody past. To consider the fact that in the future, there will statistically speaking probably be a horrific painful death in store for "me". Yes, the ego I have might just be an identification of consciousness, and that death simply might be a change of consciousness that leads to another story, the transformation to something else. However, we're living in this kind of story now, and I want to understand this incarnation with sober analytical eyes. How this dimension operates, this certain setting of experiencing. To not delude myself and lose touch with logic through the feel-good way of spirituality. hm ok simon ok The ego has spoken, but let it, because I think it has some valid points. Note, what I wrote here is not necessarily that refined, I just went on writing with the flow, and most of it not addressed to you finding; It's not intended to be hostile to you finding JK, this is what I really wanted to write to you @FindingPeace : DONT FUCKING TELL ME WHAT TO DO FINDING . UR WRONG. FUCK UR DELUSIONAL SHIT ABOUT HOW THE WORLD WORKS, IF U WANNA DIE CUS U PRIORITIZE GOOD FEELINGS OVER ACTUAL CRITIAL THINKING GO AHEAD FAGGET GO DIE LOL IDC BUT DONT TELL ME WHAT TO DO FUCK U KTHXBYE

@asgard94 Interesting question. I've been putting myself in this questioning some time ago, but in a more legal way. Like, what is the legal view on initiating physical violence if someone should spit in your face? Probably quite disconcerting . However there is a lot of people who would consider this to be of no meaning, and pursue their feeling of self-defence and possibly hatred in any case. Perhaps you could put forward an legal argument that you felt such in danger, that you had to struck the first blow, that if someone already feel they can spit on you, they can certainly follow that up with mortal violence. So, in a spiritual sense? Idk. Should you practice forgiving or start a fight.. Perhaps one way is, to let go of any adrenaline fueled hate that inspires you when someone spits at you, but still, if required for your ego's safety, cause them to become unconsciousness. I am a little bit tired of the overemphasis on forgiving. I think it's in our nature to have instinct of survival, and I think to consider measures of safety, is sane. My current take.

I feel inspired reading your aspirations and feelings. I don't know if this has relevance, but I subscribe to one scientist, Thunderf00t, who I know has reached a certain financial security through his content on YouTube.

@Phocus Powerful response. Providing studies to back up your viewpoint, having the audacity to think that you are the only one that can do this. When then pointed to the endless updated studies that debunk your 35 year old science, you become defensive about dogmatics and try to use an irrelevant comparison: Hilarious. THE EARTH IS FLAT. MY OUTDATED SCIENCE SAYS SO It's not like I took time attempting to convey my hope for a calm and constructive discussion in my last post. Don't be dishonest. The most recent research done is in favor of fat. Why are you so hesitant to read the updated science? Wouldn't you want to be up with the best information? Isn't this what it's about, to be engaged in truth and objectivity? That gotta be the cutest dishonesty I've read in quite some time. If you consume sugar, does that make your body sweet? CUS SUGAR IS SWEET AND ACCORDING TO MY MISERABLE FUCKING FAILED UNDERSTANDING OF THE HUMAN BODY, IF U PUT SWEET THINGS IN UR BODY THEN U BECOME SWEET. ALSO, NEVER EAT THE MINERAL IRON, CUS IF U EAT IT, THEN U WILL BECOME A FUCKING ROCK "bro its not good to have a sweet body" not good to have a sweet body have a sweet body sweet body SWEET The human body is quite complex, one can only laugh rolling on the floor at this logic. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Why don't you go ahead and demonstrate even one single logical fallacy I made. What I think is going on here, is projection my friend.

Also, I feel I can comment on perhaps not a direct case of social exclusion due to already existing relationships, but of a more abstract feeling of self-imposed isolation in general. I feel like, while I could make friends with some people, it's kinda better if I don't. Because, in order to make friends, you have to create rapport* with them and that means perhaps sometimes altering yourself in unfavorable ways. Most "high quality" people, anecdotally speaking, already have their social need covered.** Which means that the people that are interested in constructing investment in new friendships are the usually the socially unfavorable people. It's somewhat of a dilemma. : P I've just been autistic-ing myself out and spent time dating my computer, watching a lot of inspiration people talk to me instead. While it is 99% one way street communication, If I keep watching the most recent content, I still feel as I am connected to the surrounding world, and not too immensely isolated. I guess I just have to suck the loneliness up and keep working on myself, until I reach enough positive results as to be able to have natural resonation with the "cool kids". * (Rapport is like a mental thing that happens when you connect to someone, you start think like them and perhaps even physically move like them.) ** (Not saying I'm necessarily high quality lol some parts of my life situation is trash)

Reading positivity makes me pretty happy actually. I'm happy for u sara Perhaps a tip is to use the rationalization: Forgive them for they do not know. Their subconscious is conditioned to not want to let go of valuable social contacts. Simply: they looovvvvvvve you too much to see u go eh ok so they love me but they dont want to see me happy in life they just want me for their emotion...+????? Hm. Hmmmmm Forgive them for they do not know. (Not saying you have any fucking obligation to maintain this status-quo however.)

Hello @Phocus I do appreciate that you are looking out for people's health. Genuinely. I can understand that, from your perspective, and from the outdated science you're invested in, that it may appear as if the dangers you're describing are accurate. I do understand that it may seem as it would be "cause of death: suicide by food", if the old narrative was to be true. I would probably have thought the same as you, before I acknowledged all the new data that's in. We might probably disagree a lot. We have different perspectives, certain dogma, certain preferences, perhaps different body types.. (idk bout that last one though ) So, even if it may be easy for both of us to become frustrated, I don't really have an interest in conflicting. Not saying you can't call me out for being outrageous or smth like that, I will do the same for you But what I would like, is that in the end, if we can't yet find mutual understanding, that we can at least agree to disagree. That the phocus should be on arguments and not on the person. It is more powerful to construct friends of people then enemies And when other members read the conversation, it's good demonstration to show that engagement can be without motivation from a personal emotional crusade, that it instead is one that is held in respect to sober discussion. Not saying you weren't interested in that from the beginning, it's just reflecting my thoughts. So, let us begin. 3 ... 2 ... 1 ... FIGHT jk (= "JAMA. 1981 Aug 7;246(6):640-4. Effect of ingestion of meat on plasma cholesterol of vegetarians. Sacks FM, Donner A, Castelli WP, Gronemeyer J, Pletka P, Margolius HS, Landsberg L, Kass EH. Abstract In a controlled trial, 21 strict vegetarians were studied prospectively for eight weeks: a two-week control period of the usual vegetarian diet was followed by four weeks, during which 250 g of beef was added isocalorically to the daily vegetarian diet and then by two weeks of the control diet. Plasma high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol did not change during the study, whereas plasma total cholesterol rose significantly by 19% at the end of the meat-eating period. Systolic blood pressure (BP) increased significantly during the meat eating by 3% over control values, whereas diastolic BP showed no major changes. Plasma renin activity, prostaglandin A and E levels, and urinary kallikrein, norepinephrine, and epinephrine excretions were within normal limits and did not change notably throughout the trial. The study suggests an adverse effect of consumption of beef on plasma lipid and BP levels." Impressive. A study done 1981, with a whole of 21 test subjects! With a time period of two months, and no follow up. Really need to say more? I'm usually way too retarded to interpret studies, but this one screams uncertainty. According to people who are more educated as to be able to correctly internalize scientific data however, I think science has come a long way since the eighties. The suggested correlation in the study turned out to be inaccurate. If you'd like to see some of the research that this is based on, have a look at the results that science is concerned with now, in the timeline that we're currently living in. While it is indeed correct that unmanaged levels of LDL cholesterol can be unhealthy, it is necessary to keep a balanced amount of LDL cholesterol in your system - you do need LDL too. I feel decently informed on the very superficial level regarding cholesterol, if you'd like to you can check out my current understanding of this matter: Link to my comment about cholesterol In short, HDL cholesterol, so called good one, is increased by natural saturated fats, such a eggs or butter. In short, LDL cholesterol, so called bad one, is increased by a diet of carbohydrates. This is especially true for the refined one: sugar. But also the other slower carbohydrates: potatoes, pasta, bread, rice. Did you know that these actually become slowly processed to sugar in your body? http://www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb/science I suggest revising your perspectives as so they are in accord with the latest reviews in science. --------------- Damn, I was going to ask you virtually the same thing. How is it even possible that you could come to the conclusion that we are designed to eat a diet that is so new to our body, it is comparable to the last day of an entire year? We have NEVER eaten this much carbohydrates. The age of our species is the first point, the age of agriculture in second: 3 200 000 years ......10 000 years What we are, what the human body evolved as, is hunter-gatherers. Also, the fruits you see today in stores are Nothing like they were back in the day. Again, consider updating your knowledge. I don't recommend relying on outdated science. The China Study, released 2005, has been debunked long time ago. It's bad enough that the study was based on observational data, which cannot prove causation, however, it is even worse: The numbers are cherrypicked. Example: We do see eye to eye regarding sugar. I think most camps, despite faction, agree on this. Sugar is fucking terrible for human health. I think that might be one reason as to why many people are experiencing positive results from changing from the worst diet, the standard western diet, to a less bad diet, the vegan diet. The direct sugar intake is mostly cut out in vegan diet, correct? However, as I said before, carbohydrates becomes sugar in your body. So, it's good that one is not consuming the poison in its direct form, which is the worst, however one is still being filled with sugar in a slower way as carbohydrates are consumed. Who'd figured. Now I'm not following you. Are you talking about the website www.dietdoctor.com? If so, then you don't have to speculate anything, just check your eyesight for failing vision. They clearly state how they are financed: by paying members. This is one of the first things you see when you go to the main page on the website. More outdated science. Neverending. A joke about flat earth is in place. Incorrect. This is a retarded oversimplification. As we both know, there are different types of cholesterol. Not only fucking one. ------------------------- I've read that you can play a funny game with people who insist that cholesterol is dangerous to eat. The game is to simply ask for a single study that shows this. so can i haz study 4 dis pls ------------------------------ Wow, okay, so you survived the wall of text. Glad you made it out alive. I'd like to close with the statement that while it may be tough to do this as a vegan, it's actually perfectly possible to eat LCHF as a vegetarian.

Why, I think he looks true gangster in that cap. But also friendly and cute. #NoHomo #LeoSoCuteUJustWannaHugHimThenHeStabsUrBackWhenUDoHugHimLeoPlsNoManipulativePls Although he probably don't care about what people care about him, in which case a image of where he wears two caps incoming!! Nah, jokes aside, I love you Leo. I think it's kinda beautiful that this phenomena exists; that you helped yourself this much, all of us, being you living another life. And I think most people understand that it's pathetic as well as futile to have the audacity to hold entitlement as to how actualized should proceed in the future. It will of course be a sad day if and when you do indeed decide to say farewell, but I think most of us will also be proud and happy to see that you fulfill your personal journey. Walk the talk brother. You know you inevitably have to, right. If you ever do come up with an estimation in terms of time, I think it would make many of us happy to know!
