just because you have an experience doesnt make it real, just because you believe in something doesnt make it true, doesnt mean that it is reality, what kind of experience would be considered real? what is truth and where can truth be found, what is reality and where can reality be found? if the experience, truth or so called reality is from the experience of the identity (human being) it is never true, real or reality, it is only programing, belief, or a warped perception of the events that the identity thinks is real, true and reality. Real, truth, and reality cannot be experienced as as the identity first of all because it is existing as a hologram a fictitious identity, it is totally programed with every nonsense in this physical world, all of the programing is turned into a false belief system, all of this creates a warped perception of everything the identity thinks is real, true and reality.

i take it you are referring to my response i wrote to ARGUE , what i am say is this, functioning as a being of consciousness which is the real you, one cannot have rules books, religions, doctrines, philosophies, beliefs and programing deciding on what is going to happen in any event, that only happens when you function as the identity, but living life as a being of consciousness, all of that is gone and you are first an observer in consciousness, which allows you to see the reality of life and events around you. you cannot take these, rules books, religions, doctrines, philosophies, beliefs and programing into that space of being. At that point you as consciousness is all that exist and (if) consciousness chooses to take an action it will be from a place of reality, and not made by the physical identity with its rules and beliefs. I hope this isnt confusing to you, sometimes when you are dealing with real experience in consciousness, it can be confusing to others, i try to define things in a way to help other understand but consciousness experiences cant be fully understood until one has the experience of it, nothing can be fully understood as knowledge until there is experience in it, and the experience has to be based in reality before it can become knowledge and understanding, otherwise it just becomes programing and belief, which is a warped perception of the experience. I hope this answers your question if not, define your question a little more and i will provide an answer, thanks

would being self realized be considered enough background, with 42 years of experience in the personal growth field in this lifetime alone. I appreciate you saying you're not hating and yes they are strong words but, those who have experienced self realization, cant play games with other peoples lives, we try to put forth what will help others to avoid the traps that we had to suffer through, there are few out there that really get into how to achieve self realization. Most are trying to help other become better human beings, my intention in what i do is to help those that can hear to become beings of consciousness, functioning in a conscious, present, aware, liberated state of being and not identities (human beings) functioning in an unconscious manner.

if the identity is cornered in a way that it cant explain things, it will admit to something, but the identity trying to rationalize things and often afterward finding a way to justify its way doesnt bring real change. Brute forces can work to a degree functioning as the identity, but it will not bring liberation from what binds. Lasting beneficial change has to take place within consciousness, the physical body ( identity) is merely a replication of the condition of your consciousness, all of the problems in life including sickness and disease is self created and is created by what is rooted within consciousness itself and then reproduced in the physical identity. Most are merely dealing with the symptoms of an issue whether it be a problem or a sickness or disease, dealing with a symptom never solves the issue at hand, one must go to the source or root cause of the issue to bring about a resolution, if its not done that way, the issue will present itself in another form of problem or illness somewhere in the body. All issues must be resolved and cleansed in consciousness before liberation from it can occur.

You have too many rules for sitting and doing nothing, sitting and doing nothing will do nothing to help you overcome addictions. The addictions are addictions of the identity and ego itself. to overcome the addictions you must become something other than the identity. As a being of consciousness, there is no rule book of rules by which to function as a being of consciousness, there are no spiritual practices to perform, there is no right and no wrong, no good and no evil. The identity cannot dictate to consciousness what the rules are, because consciousness has no rules, will accept no rules, will follow no rules, throw your rule books away, drop your spiritual practices, drop your beliefs, begin to look at your own thought process, you will see that it is severely flawed and keeping you in the identity and is the cause of your situation in life. As a being of consciousness you will be functioning in the moment of life in a conscious, present state of awareness within that moment, and your rules will not be making any decisions about what is seen, or what happens with what is seen as the observer of events that appear before you because your concepts, thoughts, beliefs, programing cannot be in that space of being, and if you still are clinging to all these things than you are not functioning as a being of consciousness, but rather as the identity that thinks that it is achieving something that it is not. There is a huge misconception about what self realization is and how a being of consciousness functions, this is because of a lot of teachings by those who have no real experience with consciousness and no understanding of consciousness. Argue, this is not meant to offend you, my intention is to help you understand something very important, the first sentence i directed to your post, the rest was meant for everyone.

You said: Leo just made a video for a simple-minded low-level people I am a bit curious as to your personal view of where you think you are or what your beliefs are in relation to self realization?
-
sounds like the identity and ego did a good job on you, the shame, humiliation and regret is part of the identity, not the real you. when you function as the real you and not the identity, life will be better and ego will be in the back seat. Become more aware of what you are doing and what is going on around you, dont be so fast to act, breath, look at things, think about how you want the end of a thing to look, then act responsibly and dont just react from an emotional state.

I would not do 1-2 hours, i would do what feels right, and what i mean is if you are doing it and you are achieving the purpose which is being still and being quiet, connecting with the source of life within yourself, it will be feel good to you, and you can remain till it doesn't, but if its just a practice for a given period of time it wont be achieving any worthwhile purpose. Ten minutes of being in the space of your own being is more beneficial than hours of doing some practice. I'm sure you understand that. what you are seeking is within you, the idea is to become one with it, dont forget the practice of being in the moment it is very very important, because as a being of consciousness you will function in the moment, so both are connected. what happens is consciousness is giving up this idea that it is the identity and reclaiming the full power of being a being of consciousness. spend some time contemplating what i wrote in the two statement to you, and work with this, at a point you will realize that change has taken place within you, there will be a shift from the identity to functioning as a being of consciousness. Dont over burden yourself with trying to learn too much, or take on too many ideas about enlightenment or self realization, just do the work, and something will change in you, how fast it happens depends on you, but sitting for hours isnt the answer, and there will come a time when you wont need to sit at all or meditate, because everything you do in life will be your meditation, and you can be an aware, conscious being while doing it.
-
yes i agree with you , the fork in the road is self realization
-
I will give you the answer to your question, short and straight to the heart of the matter. Stop trying to do consciousness work, stop desiring enlightenment, stop desiring being mindful and peace, stop trying, stop desiring, and be the being of consciousness that is your real state of being, then you will observe life from the space of consciousness, you can function as a being of consciousness, and not the identity with its ego and desires. You have become lost in the fictitious identity that you are inhabiting, controlled by programing, false belief system, and a warped perception of life around you. The only way out of this is to take back your power as a being of consciousness. To do this will not require you to do so called spiritual practices, follow religions, or follow anyone for that matter, however it can help to spend time listening to those who have already gone where you want to go, they can give you encouragement, support, and help you keep focus. You are already what you are seeking but you have become disassociated from it, to regain it, do this, and do it often, sit down, be still, close your eyes and be with the source of life that is sustaining your body, dont think, if thought comes, dont touch, give no attention, let them pass, just be still and quiet. Enjoy the space of being. At other times you can practice this as it will become most important to finding your real self, practice being in the moment of life, being present, in a conscious state of awareness. its hard in the beginning, and you may find it difficult to remain in the moment but only briefly, but in time you will be able to enjoy that space of being in the moment of life more and more. Being quiet and still with the source of life within you and being able to be in the moment in a present conscious state of awareness is what it will take to free yourself from the identity and its ego, and desires and become self realized. Eventually you will be able to enjoy that space of being while you do what you do. What you do will change from what you were doing as the identity, the way you do things, the intention behind what you do but that will take care of itself once you are in that space of being. This sounds simple, and it is, and it works, you just have to do it and trust until you see for yourself. this isnt someones idea, philosophy, doctrine, religion or belief, it comes from having the experience. As you should be aware now, that most of the teachings going on, on this planet doesnt seem to be getting results as far as the number of self realized beings, and to be honest with you most who are doing the teaching have no experience in their own consciousness, it is primarily just some spiritual practice they are performing, maybe helping to make them a better person, but being a better person isnt self realization. Leo's videos will show you where you are in this process. The key to your own kingdom is in the first paragraph, i hope it is of value to you.

Light_ray when one lacks the knowledge and understanding of things, it is easy to be in doubt. Knowledge and understanding comes from experience. See this doubt as a step in the right direction, allow this doubt to cause you to question yourself and where you are in your personal growth. Inside of you is a great power, it is the source of life, be quiet, be still, spend time with it, it will take you through the hard places and give you peace and joy in your life and a better understanding of things.
-
To be honest with you, right now you lack the desire to become that better person, when your desire is strong enough it will drive you toward what you have the desire for, and i mean all the way to completion. Just seeing what you are seeing as lacking in motivation will make some difference by being able to face the reality of it, and hopefully at some point your desire will be stronger that will allow you to move further in your personal growth. Having the integrity to see yourself is a major player in this game of personal growth, keep being honest with yourself, and instead of getting distracted with stupid videos see if you can force yourself to spend more time with Leo's vids. Becoming a better person is not so hard, becoming self realized can only be done by you and you alone, but if you stay focused in the right direction, and use videos designed by those who are awake and have gained a lot of personal growth or self realization, it will help to make your journey easier and less painful.
-
sounds like you have learned a great deal, i wouldnt be concerned about being addicted to leo's videos, and here is why, when you are involved in personal growth, it makes a great deal of difference if you can keep your focus in the right direction, and watching or listening to good speakers who are giving you the realities of life, can help you stay on track, stay with it, and opens up more understanding, it will reward you greatly as time passes.

There is an underlying reason why you are doing this, something other than a habit, find that.

congrats to you, for not falling into the trap, I have been a supporter of women for a long time, as far as the identity and relationships go, most men are not worthy of the women they have, so to speak. Most men are way to immature and childish to be in a relationship, too self serving, and selfish, and a big part of women are left with kids to raise on their own while the man is off to another conquest. You are a very smart gal with a brain in my book, i hope you continue to do well in your life. I know that i will hear the big picture story now about how and why all this happens and all the newage reasons for it happening, but the bottom line is men as a whole have not the slightest clue about women, what women need to be happy and fulfilled, they know nothing about communicating with a woman on all levels of her being. The identity part of me feels better now.
-
abrakamowse, the best way to end beliefs is to stop functioning as the identity and function as a being of consciousness. There will be no beliefs there in that state of being.
-
i dont expect everyone to understand what i talk about, apparently you are not one of them, but when you reply with ignorant statements it doesnt help in communication in a group. only a young, inexperienced or foolish person would have started your response out the way you did, and now your ego is trying to avoid taking responsibility for that ignorant statement. So far as i can remember you are the only one on the forum that has complained about my speech, my speech isnt intended to satisfy your ego or your identity, it is for those who have a sincere desire to do personal growth work, so this will end my conversing with you until you grow up.
-
the first part of your reply leads me to think you are very young and inexperienced or very foolish. The problem may not be my speech but rather your ability to hear and understand it, did you ever consider that part of it.
-
ant i like you, you challenge me, i will let you in on a little secret, its easy to defeat a human being functioning as the identity, but when one is self realized they cant be defeated by that unconscious functioning human being, because the self realized one, lives in reality, functions as a being of consciousness, from consciousness. Real power in this life comes from self realization, as well as knowledge and understanding.

I made the effort so that my kids could be taught at home, I worked, the wife stayed home with the kids and i helped her educate the kids where i was needed, and of course i educated them in areas other than books. In teaching your own kids you have to provide a lot of things for them outside of the book learning, interaction with others is a big one, but you get to choose the environment they are subject to growing up. It requires a great deal of sacrifice but it is worth it. The public school system wont ever change, and i know it is criticized a lot but all kids need an education and many parents aren't qualified, capable, or even have a desire to educate their own kids, and i suspect the public schools and the teachers are doing a pretty good job with what they have to work with.

algi, it doesnt annoy me, i understand the human condition and the identity, i lived it long enough, its just and observation, What will help you is to be still, be quiet within and just be with the source of life that is possessing your physical body, as time passes that will be enough to take you where you think you want to go right now, as you move more toward that it will become more clear as to what you are seeking and what it really means. Desire, and the will to find your real self is enough to take you home. Good luck algi
-
in order to become self realized i had to drop what others think about things, feel, believe in, practice, opinions, throw all the books away that i read, to find my real self. Most of the things i write about have a deeper underlying meaning that is overlooked or cant be seen by many others but i understand that identity cant understand reality because the identity cant inhabit the space of being where reality exist.
-
algi, i have no spiritual practices or any practice at all, i spend most of my life in the space of my own consciousness, functioning as a being of consciousness, once one experiences the real part of themselves there is no place to go or and practice to perform, it is just a matter of functioning from consciousness as a being of consciousness rather than functioning as an identity.

70 years this lifetime.

no im not in the 99.8% group , if i had been i could not have made the statement that i made, and if i made it anyway it would just have been speculation by the identity. I am self realized, the term enlightened i dont use, it is an over used term that has basically lost its meaning.
