  1. @ChimpBrain Hi! Can you help explain what Leo means when he says that we are the perceptions itself and not the perceiver. I don't quite get this. They both sound the same to me. Thanks Or if there is a video that Leo posted about this, I would like to watch.
  2. Leo talks about in his "A Rant Against The PickUp Community" that we use authenticity to manipulate others, and that we haven't really got into the deep authenticity. Is real authenticity even a thing? Is it where one moves through from a place of Being?
  3. I feel you on this one. Slowing down and taking time helped me be more conscious of my answers and making sure they are coming from a genuine place, and not from a automatic/unconscious/socially acceptable place. A mix of active listening and observing the person you are talking to and taking the time to reflect from your inner state to provide that quality answer you want to share. It often seems like people want quick answers or that we feel rushed to give an answer so that we still have their attention. I think if the person you are talking to cares about what you have to say, they wouldn't mind you slowing down to step back at all. They would probably prefer that. Hope this kinda helps.
  4. If you believe you have reached the yellow stage than try this. Explore that stage and I mean explore and learn everything there is to learn about it. It's okay if you have to go back to green, because I'm sure there are some juicy missing things from green that you just haven't touched yet or mastered. Remember, you cannot skip step or colors. When one has fully mastered each section they will know when to move up and how/where to find the necessary resources to learn about the new stage.
  5. Let's see, I was kind of on the same boat as you at that age. Here are some things that have helped me along my journey that may come to service for you. - Meditation everyday to calm the mind chatter (neg. thoughts/self doubt/self consciousness) - Learning to relax by slow conscious breathing as much as I can throughout the day. - Get full body massages every other week. Thai massage in particular. This helps relax the mind and this relaxed place is a good reminder of where you want to be at most of the time. Getting used to letting go, being touched, and accepting oneself. - Exercising! Runner's high and muscle gain = confidence! - Quit people pleasing! Go your own way, and do it your own way. Just don't hurt anyone. Takes practice. - Start doing things by yourself; eating at a diner, watching a movie, going to the park. Be comfortable by yourself. - Go to meetups at Meetups.com with whatever your favorite things you love to do. This way you can talk endlessly and confidently about whatever you're into and therefore there is always something to talk about. Same interested = easy flow Hope some stuff here helps you. It has helped me a lot! Best
  6. - 30min workout: jumping jacks, pushups, wallsits, planks, yoga - Get a juicer and start juicing dark leafy greens and blend with avocado in the morning for breakfast. - Meditate for 20min-1hr - Put on good down tempo music and dance and feel and connect with my body and emotions. ^This is my morning routine
  7. In your case it will be wise to be with someone that is on a similar path to self-actualization.
  8. It seems, yes. Go and find out for yourself and get to know these people. You will find that the majority of these "fulfilled people" haven't really felt much difference than from where they have started. It's a game of chasing your own tail or always looking over the shoulder of the present moment, and not realizing that you are stuck in this do-do-do mode (this is where mindfulness and sharpening your awareness comes in handy)
  9. Depends on your intentions and how you use it and what you will expect when coming back down. They can be a great stepping stone or a big weight on your shoulders when it comes to self actualization work, it all varies in the slightest way depending on your current inner state. I personally have used them in the past and have gained major life changing perspectives and would probably not have been on this journey if it weren't for them introducing me to spirituality, and showing me what it's like to be in the eternal Now. I am forever grateful for them, but now do not need them as I have faith in the direction that I'm heading in.
  10. @Rocky Yes it does go well with any kind of milk, but I'd skimp out on cow milk and go almond, rice, or coconut. Cow milk are for calves brother that are supposed to help them grow something like 10lbs/day, that ain't for humans lol. We are the only species that drink other animal's milk. http://www.amazon.com/Sunwarrior-Warrior-Blend-Protein-Vanilla/dp/B00GXX3DFC I'd recommend chocolate/ There are other great vegan proteins out there, got to do your research though. Best!
  11. @DrMatthewsausage I sit on a pillow so that my hips are higher than my legs therefore putting less pressure onto my ankles and legs. Or you can try sitting on a chair.
  12. @ChrisGroch I'd recommend going into a float tank you will thank me, or not. Take a look inside and surrender to all that arises and give them love and attention they are begging more. Eternity is here and Now, the more you look for it the more it will hide.
  13. Yes absolutely, a great tool to get you started on the journey yourself. What psychedelics showed was who you really are by peeling of layers. Now, don't forget that when you are coming down. Now you have faith and determination that there is something truly beautiful outside of you that we All share. Whatever you do, it is not the more stuff that you add onto yourself but the more you strip away, and believe it that that direction is worth heading. I hope this helps. Love.
  14. @Progress You are doing so well! You are exactly where you should be right now. Go strong brother, supporting you.
  15. @DrMatthewsausage I've read somewhere that it's not too much of a problem as long there is not a sharp pain that does not go away. If it goes from pain, to numbing, then you're fine.
  16. 22 and more driven than ever, hope not hehe Let's fight the good fight ya'll!
  17. @a e l i I would enjoy just being and being mindful throughout the 10 days. Don't bring anything to read but use your free time to contemplate , meditate, or just be present with whatever is in front of you. Pen and a journal would be neat when writing down deep contemplations. This may also be a way to connect with your family members in a deeper way not just as father/mother to son but as an individual to an individual. Enjoy
  18. @Draconis Chaser Meditate daily and just take a moment to look inside. Taking your attention inside whenever possible is key. Lately, I've been contemplating on my life and more importantly my death, and have reached a conclusion that a lot of things currently present in my life were the result of "me going against the world". Here's a section from the book Psycho-Cybernatics by Maxwell Maltz: Charity: "Successful personalities have some interest in and regard of other people. They have respect for others' problems and needs. They respect the dignity of human personality and deal with other people as if they were human beings, rather than as pawns in their own game. They recognize that every person is a child of God and is a unique individuality which deserves some dignity and respect." "The person who feels that "people are not very important" cannot have very much deep-down self respect and self-regard-for he himself is "people" and with what judgement he considers others, he himself is unwittingly judged in his own mind. You will develop a better and more adequate self-image when you begin to feel that other people are more worthy. Another reason that Charity toward other people is symptomatic of successful personality is because it means that the person is dealing with reality."
  19. I love dancing to this in the Morning, great way to start my day! Energy is strong. Love!
  20. @Jakeumz "Being able to see others literally filling their void in life is a crazy thing." Crazy indeed. Once the fish is out of the water they will gain a new perspective. What is really sad about this is that people don't even realize that they are filling a void for the most part. I sure as hell didn't when I was smoking everyday, watching TV, or going on a Netflix marathon. It just felt normal, as I was bored and it was something to do to kill time, eventually finding out that there was something more deeper and subtle going on inside. I remember going straight to my parent's home after a 10 day meditation retreat and being quite down and was just mute the rest of the day. Going from one distraction to another, to another, and to another. TV, to the phone, TV, to the phone. I wanted to grab and shake my family but what good would that do haha I just have to do me.
  21. Isn't trying to reach enlightenment actually taking you further from it? Like coming in full circles, only to realize that there was no one to be enlightened in the first place. (Passing through the gateless gate) . Meditating to reach someplace or to achieve or gain is only reinforcing the illusion that "I" exist, no? Presupposing a non-existing thing? I do believe it is important to meditate or seek to find out what you are not, but then after that,....? Beliefs of that you are Absolute Awareness doesn't really cut it because you still feel as though you are stuck in a body at some moments. A bit confused, some advises would clarify, feel free.
  22. Found this on the internet, cool little comic: Basically, Here's how you become enlightened. Put a white sock on your left hand and call him Zen master. Put a black sock on your right hand. and call him George. Send George on a great journey to meet the Zenmaster. When he finally meets the Zen master he asks the master... "Master how can i reach (YOUR NAME HERE)? How do i become (YOUR NAME HERE)?" Have Zen master respond "My child, you already ARE (YOUR NAME HERE). When George comes to realize that there is no George and that he's actually a sock puppet being played by (YOUR NAME HERE), and that he and Zen master are actually the same person... You will become enlightened. All you have to do is take George on this journey and help him realize that he's a made up character created by you. and that there is no George. Thank you all for your responses, much love.
