  1. As simple as it sounds, You create your own problems because of your way of thought. Change your perspective and your emotions will change accordingly. Although changing perspective isn't done overnight it takes quite a while to change habits. Try meditating more often it'll help aid being more aware of yourself/thoughts.
  2. We are programmed to think in certain ways, there is no way out of them. It is in our very genetic code of life, it's our algorithm that thrives us to move into wrong directions while placebo'd as real. Our distraction will stay as is, there isn't much of any meaning but that which we assign. Our brain is wired to think inside a box. We will never be able to think outside the box simply because we are not capable of doing so. Edit : Extra Think of a computer that is equipped with certain hardware. To see certain objects and has certain aspects equipped such as processing capabilities / RAM etc. Compare that to an animal. Let's say a dog has around 700mhz @ 4MB ram while a human is at 2ghz @ 32mb ram. Let's say we have a program that can run emotional response 2.0. The dog may be able to run it since it meet's it's requirements. While the human runs on v3.7. Etc etc you can speculate various forms of consciousness from here. Ones where are beyond your imagination. (v3.7 requires 900mhz / 7mb for example) It's similar to trying to run windows 7 on a 256ram pc with a pentium 1. It simply won't run or a program like gta v on that. It just can't handle it or process it. That is why we can't really see our flaws or go even deeper than our current limits. Let's say there are more than the current colors we see and name. We simply can't see them or they may be not part of our current physical world since we are in a box again. You can apply it on various aspects of how any living life code/conscious/unconscious thinking works. You can now go on and hit logic and even perspective in the same way, we definitely are missing a lot more than just sight/hear/taste for all we know there could be millions or billions of rules that we could life with but we aren't aware because we think and assign that this is the normal way as it should be. Hell maybe the current life algorithm isn't all that there must be more to it than just humanoid thinking.
  3. lying is a neurotic act, you generally/ideally would want to get rid of all your neurotic traits
  4. . (would actually recommend watching the whole god is in the neurons part since it's quite thought provoking) [there is a part where he speaks of left / right hemisphere as well )
  5. These are the most notable videos I've seen on youtube, I hope you guys find them useful to peek your scientific curiosity about the universe we live in. This is just a slight highlight of michio kaku that made me laugh out Z
  6. We are made from countless trillions of various cells either bone/nerve/red/white blood cells. And so are other animals/plants/fish/insects/bacteria/viruses . Do these all have their entities as well? Or are we all one big nothing..? No one can really answer it, but from observing it at this perspective, i feel like this enlightenment phase is just another self belief system. As any self/ego can be enlightened from any other religious background or view. Maybe it's just a higher state of analyzing life differently with a more like awareness view which causes another shed of illusion of dopamine peace? It doesn't seem that hard to believe with such working a different set of trained working memory or rewired anapalstic brain. But the distractions and illusions are real as we have so much noise made within our own source of living from either thoughts/blood rushing around/emotions as a being that we are it's natural that we will always have it so we can't really break out of it. No one can really think outside the box since we're programmed to be in a certain way regardless of our efforts, It's kind of sad.
  7. @Psychonaut biohacking for more optimum results (i forgot to update on the anti oxidants )
  8. i'd like a clear out to why so if possible leo
  9. Just took a blood test today (will see results in 10 days) , if all goes well my stack will be Bacopa Monnieri + Artichoke Extract and Forskolin Capsules + CDA choline + Piracatam/Oxitam + Rhodiola Rosea + creatine Bacopa for improving memory (takes around 8-12 weeks for it to build up) [it also works as an antioxidant] Artrichoke cap for energy all day CDA helps the tam's to get absorbed by the body Rhodiola for anti stress/fatigue Pira/Oxi for improved cognitive functions (focus/concentration+ better short/long term memory) Creatine : it's cheap and effective helps with ATP absorption. help maintain and build muscle mass if you exercise Morning Bacopa Monnieri : 3 capsules (300mgx3 = 900mg) http://nootropicsdepot.com/bacognize-bacopa-monnieri-300mg-capsules/ https://examine.com/supplements/Bacopa+monnieri/ Artichoke Extract and Forskolin Capsules : 3 capsules [ALCAR MIX] http://www.powdercity.com/products/artichoke-extract-forskolin-stack contains Artrichock extract 750mg + forskohli 10% 5mg + Phenylalanine 500mg + Acetyl L-Carnitine (ALCAR) CDA choline : 1 cap (400mg) http://www.powdercity.com/products/cdp-choline-sodium-capsules https://examine.com/supplements/CDP-choline/ Piracatam : 2 caps (800mgx2 = 1600mg) http://www.powdercity.com/products/piracetam-capsules?variant=8208926085 Oxiracetam: 1 or 2 cap (750mg per cap or 750mg x2 = 1500mg ) http://www.powdercity.com/products/oxiracetam-capsules (will take x2 if i don't feel anything it's probably going to create a brain fog for me if my body can't handle the dose) Piracatam/Oxiracetam (will use one tam for a month then switch to the other one on the next month) https://examine.com/supplements/Piracetam/ https://examine.com/supplements/Oxiracetam/ Evening Creatine capsules : 1 cap (2.5g) http://www.iherb.com/Optimum-Nutrition-Creatine-2500-Caps-200-Capsules/68618 https://examine.com/supplements/Creatine/ Rhodiola Rosea : 1 or 2 caps ( 250mg or 500mg) http://www.powdercity.com/products/rhodiola-rosea-benefits-dosage https://examine.com/supplements/Rhodiola+Rosea/ Night Lacking vitamins http://puu.sh/pbmi2.png Vitamin B for general blood flow Vitamin D aids in muscle growth / overall energy and denser healthy bones Zinc / Magnesium for the body to generally absorb better (both cognitive brain wise and body) Vitamin C helps the immune system (although be aware that taking too much of it, will delay muscle growth) Vitamin A helps eye vision Be warned artrichoke + bacopa both will have heavy side effects for people with thyroid issues ( I might have thyroid problems not sure, but i'll find out in 10 days due to the blood test) If you have no thyroid issues they are safe with the proper dosage. Other than that Piracetam and creatine are safe too, since they've been under a lot of research. They do have short term side effects if you mess up on the dosage or if your body acts differently towards them. However everyone's body is different so no way to find out but trying it out. While Oxiracetam hasn't been studied well enough for it to be safe long term.
  10. @vizual yes i have , it's just i had a different view of it after leo said this
  11. @ChimpBrain everyone's body works differently, Some reject the chems some don't use them they just flush or their body is not really affected by them or they get irradiated by them. (it also depends on body mass maybe? ) make sure you read about their side effects before trying them some are less severe and are just short term on use, don't mix too much stuff off those dose's. I heard it takes 2weeks to 10 weeks to feel any effects since it takes awhile for new neurons to grow Have you tried Centrophenoxine or NSI-189 or Phenylpiracetam ? Another interesting stack https://www.reddit.com/r/Nootropics/comments/4lefg0/cool_i_found_a_noot_to_enhance_neuroplasticity/d3mph3y https://www.reddit.com/r/Nootropics/comments/4lefg0/cool_i_found_a_noot_to_enhance_neuroplasticity/d3mqqi3 I might try these later, dropping these here so i don't forget http://www.powdercity.com/products/alcar-capsules http://www.powdercity.com/products/galantamine-capsules http://www.longecity.org/forum/topic/61206-my-add-stack-in-development/ http://www.nootropix.com/abcs-smart-drugs-what-are-nootropics-what-to-expect/ http://www.nootropix.com/nootropics-add-adhd-10-adderall-alternatives/ http://www.powdercity.com/products/l-tyrosine-side-effects http://www.powdercity.com/products/artichoke-extract-forskolin-stack is this CILTEP? + ALCAR + L-Phenylalanine or L-N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine i took a brainoptimization test here from www.brainoptimization.com
  12. update, done my research on nootropics https://www.reddit.com/r/nootropics/wiki/beginners Apparently it's better to make your own stack/formula, over buying ready made ones from various companies that sell their own nootropic pills with different formulas some guy from reddit helped me out and adviced i'd try this for as beginner, (note i choose one type of racetam or noopept, and i take it with the bacopa + L-theanine and either Alpha-GPC or CDA (also known as citicoline-sodium)) http://nootropicsdepot.com/bacognize-bacopa-monnieri-300mg-capsules/ http://nootropicsdepot.com/basic-nootropic-capsules-sample-pack-15ct-jars-of-aniracetam-noopept-oxiracetam-piracetam/ http://nootropicsdepot.com/l-theanine-200mg-capsules/ http://nootropicsdepot.com/citicoline-sodium-300mg-capsules/ will use a stack for a month or 2 before changing stack1 bacopa+piracetam+Ltheanine+CDA stack2 bacopa+nopept+Ltheanine+CDA stack3 bacopa+oxiracetam+Ltheanine+CDA stack4 bacopa+aniracetam+Ltheanine+CDA maybe for a later stack i might try these alpha+phos+L-theanine+bacapo http://www.powdercity.com/products/alpha-gpc-capsules http://www.powdercity.com/products/phosphatidylserine-powder http://www.powdercity.com/products/phenylpiracetam-dosage I might try phenylpiracetam later with either stack need to do more research later (Phenylpiracetam: Increases stamina/energy and tolerance to very cold/hot weather. It's banned under WADA for sports so it definitely has some affects. it's recommend to use piracetam for a month or two before considering phenylpiracetam.) http://www.pillscout.com/mood-enhancers/mr-happys-uridine-stack-mood-and-memory/ and maybe a uridine happy stack later.. I wonder what kind of effects i'd get on meditation with these http://sweat.burnthis.com/sweat-on-the-street-2/mindfulness/nootropics-assistance-meditation I will fast 2 days a week (on weekends), and 5days to a week every 2 months. So my body doesn't get addicted or dependent on these pills. that should eliminate any possible side effects of long term use of these.
  13. @vizual us humans have so much distractions going on, theirs all this unstoppable noise around us , we can't really stop ths noise, we can try and simulate this so called peace by a belief system of another illusion. but we can't change that we are still a programmed being made to feel/think in certain patterns and algorithms it's just impossible to think outside the box or feel things since even our feelings and simulations hit limits that we have set by our own dogmas. you can't be clean. yes you can try to be in a being state but that being state is still part human and you still have all that blood rushing around and the noise is still present that is why anyone can reach an enlightenment stage even with other belief systems. since in the end it's just another illusion.
  14. @charlie2dogs I don't really know, that's what i'm trying to find out
  15. @charlie2dogs For the various meditating benefits + hoping i might get to the enlightenment stages, hoping to have a higher sense of awareness and a better fake life illusion. Sometimes i focus on my breath or body sensations. And sometimes i just go pure blank trying to stop my thoughts or have no thoughts at all. Being aware of the monkey mind seems difficult at that age as i feel like as i try stopping it. the stopping thinking is a phase of a thought it's quite confusing.
  16. @Mal Doing nothing in meditation isn't that so similar to sleeping? although the only difference is we're not lying down on bed, but rather sitting up straight. I really feel the a similar sleep state as i meditate is this normal? I do feel more relived and relaxed after the session although when i question it i can feel uneasy.(which is probably what my mind creates)
  17. I heard it's better not to rush into having an audio background while meditating, since it's better to get used to nothing in your background first. When is it safe to start meditating with audio in the background of the session? After a months practice or a week? 2months? I'm thinking of using the following three below is it a bad idea?
  18. I'm aware of many types of meditation techniques from various different zen masters/buddhists/monk/other cults etc. Although i'm confused about the religious spirituality outlook of it, Aren't they already filtering themselves with a belief in religious spirituality dogma? I thought they were supposed to remove their filters in order to reach that state yet they can still manage to achieve it with their self belief system?
  19. I'm kind of confused between them aren't they the same?
  20. Is it fine to practice meditation when your drowsy/sleepy/fatigued or should i avoiding that?
  21. We aren't supposed to try and change anyone, we're supposed to just accept them the way they are, yes we can suggest some form of help to them but no point in pushing the button or drill of overdoing it
  22. If that's the case, I guess it's like a new brain muscle memory that helps aid you in various brain activity http://www.bbc.com/news/health-16406814 http://www.scientificamerican.com/video/how-does-meditation-change-the-brai2013-10-30/
  23. dear lord it was a pain to reset password via email validation everytime for a single login. glad you guys fixed it cheers
  24. Name: khalifa Age: 25 Gender: Male Location: Bahrain Occupation: University student Marital Status: Single Kids: None Hobbies: enlightenment, meditation, mindfulness, personal development, learning, nature, watching scientific progress on various fields, engineering, binging on the internet for new/weird entertainment(cutting it down lately), some slight video gaming done here and there, I have a big interest in astronomy/futurology (they always fascinates me). I watch a lot work from michio kaku / ray kurzweil / neil de grasse tyson / lawerence krauss. I got into personal development just 2 weeks ago, Accidentally found one of leo's videos when i google'd some personal issue. Ever since then i was binging on his videos 8 hours a day for a week straight. I'm still in my self development/practicing mindfulness phase hoping I'd reach true enlightenment someday. ( I'm really happy to have found leo, I've always felt like our lives are programmed with a typical algorithm of life where we never really had any free choice of our own. And finally finding a deeper manner of it that resonates with it keeps me at ease as this is the path i should take.) Personal challenges I've overcome: Was fat my whole life until age 17 I'm pretty much an underachiever at this point. What I'm working on now: Working on enlightenment. Working on University (mecha/elec engineering degree) Working on being more healthy. Working on improving my self-esteem, since it's i felt worthless through out most of my life. Working on being consistent and improving my self discipline in life, since those were the main reasons why i haven't done much in life. + Victimized filter perspective which I've finally gotten rid off lately. Maybe i'd like to work on being an entrepreneur the future, As money isn't really a high priority for me or rather i feel like i can't make it which is probably why I'm giving up the idea of it.
  25. They are toxic better cut them out off your life if they continue being negative down the road. Healthy Optimism and positive attitudes is key to your life on getting things done over such neurotic negative attitudes.
