I am starting this meditation process for 5 weeks to develop a habit of meditating, reaching new levels of relaxation, awareness, and less thoughts in my head. I'm also doing it to see if it can help me in baseball, school, and becoming more self actualized. Day 1: Today was my very first meditative experience. I started by coming home from school and waiting until everyone was gone so it was very quiet. I had made sure to put on lose, comfortable clothes too. I started by sitting down and taking deep breaths. Reminding myself that what happened prior to these 20mins did not matter, nor did the events happening after these 20mins matter. I started to become more in the moment than I ever had in my life. I also noticed my thoughts start to diminish. So then I closed my eyes and just focused on my breathing while trying to have absolutely no thoughts. This was very tough for me. I restarted a few times and then I got it. I started to become very, very relaxed. I also started feeling this sensation of pressure between my eyes. After what felt like 5mins passed, thoughts started to come back rapidly so I decided to stop. I looked at my clock and noticed about 15mins had passed, and was absolutely amazed with how a felt afterwards. I finished off the session with more deep breaths. Even after one session I am amazed with the after effects. I'm excited to continue on a quest to truly understand the deeper things in life that I don't know about. *If you have any suggestions, concerns, opinions, feel free to comment.

You can't understand nothingness, because it is nothingness. You can accept nothingness but it can't truly be understood. It's impossible to understand nothingness, because it's nothingness.

I'm not sure what type of work you're doing. But what usually helps me is having a strong awareness of why I'm doing that. It usually helps me get through it and I feel good with the end result. Another thing that helps me is a technique that Leo talks about in his videos. He explains that you should go to a solitary place for a period of time and just sit and think about what is bothering you and why. Leo says to do this for about a week. In my current situation this wasn't possible. So what I decided to do was take a Sunday or Saturday for the next three weeks and find a calm place all alone and think about what my issue was, why it was an issue in the first place, and how to fix the issue for good.
