  1. I'm curious about how your' beliefs have evolved, and what made beliefs change at specific points in life. Here is a quick guide. This picture is for beliefs in God, but really I think it can apply to any spiritual idea. With me it has been as follows: Gnostic atheism (as a baby- no beliefs), Next came [religious] agnostic theism (I went to a Catholic school and lived in a secular household), then came [nonreligious] agnostic theism (I was introduced to Wicca by my good friend at age 14, and I've been pretty, you know, "New Age", ever since- but unlike him, I didn't join a religion).

  3. Ghosts are probably made up by humans, but that doesn't necessitate that they aren't real. I'll explain. The New Age community generally recognizes the existence of "thought forms": entities which are created in the mind, and manifest into reality. If they are real, I believe this is the best explanation for what they could be. Also, it is important to note that these "ghosts" are not human spirits or consciousness, but human egos, which is why the typical ghost is seen as an entity with an affinity towards specific places, objects, clothing, and other things of that nature. If ghost hunters are to be believed and ghosts can be picked up by instruments which measure electromagnetic fields, then this indicates that these ghosts are of a worldly and energetic nature- not an otherworldly or purely conscious nature. Indeed, a real ghost could be seen as a nuanced type of organism which is not carbon-based, and the priests who exorcise them seen as a nuanced type of big-game hunter.
  4. yes. What i realized when asked if i believed in God recently is that I don't even relate to the question anymore. lol

  6. I started experimenting with a different perspective on meditation this week. Instead of trying to silence my entire process and completely "shut off", my mind, I've simply started laying down and kindly asking my thoughts to give way to my intuition- i like to call these "planned daydreams". I think this is an important, fresh take on meditation, especially if you are a highly intuitive person, so I wanted to share it.
  7. probably not dude. I don't think you can just magically become enlightened in a few seconds long one-time gig.
  8. So, in a nutshell I'm wondering what you think about the physical body death. What do you think of the three theories I mentioned? Could there be an immortal soul, and an afterlife for the ego part of us, is death the end of your ego or self-consciousness ( basically- is your body your ego?). Or, is it a complete illusion? As for me, I'm leaning toward physical death being an illusion in itself ( on top of the even greater illusion that *you* are your body). Think about it, it's not like the past just stops existing once you've been through it. So, when your body dies, it's only "dead" from an abitrary point in time.
