I'm not talking about realizations on the level of the mind. I'm talking about the process of expanding consciousness to include more and more of the inifinte existence. There's no end to realizations because Infinity doesn't have an end. -

Realizations give you the truth. Would you rather be happy than being yourself? -

Then turn it into an experience. Do it right now: find the boundary between you and your experience. If you're not your experience then there should be a precise line that separates you from your experience. So where is this line? Don't make it conceptual, go to your direct experience and find this line/boundary. Let me rephrase my question: How will you realize the fullness of your being if you're interested only in the emptiness of it? -

The present moment is you. What else could it be? Only you exist. How will you know yourself if you are not interested in yourself? -

Every inquiry is self-inquiry when there's no real distinction between self and other. By "world" I mean the eternal and ever changing present moment that we all experience. Don't you want to dive deep into that? -
Barna replied to Barna's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
The present moment includes the inquiry. The inquiry includes a curiosity. My perception of myself doesn't change because I am nothing that I can observe. And I am everything that I can observe. Are you trying to point to consciousness? I am aware that I am aware. This a nice starting point, but there's a whole world to discover beyond this. That's why we're experiencing this human existence. -

I didn't find a "who". It's just happening. So I'm interested in what is it that's happening right now. -

@Truth Addict I'm not conceptualizing anything, I'm just giving labels to my direct perceptions so that I can write them down for you. Everything that I'm questioning is happening right here, right now, it's all actual. Baby steps First I'm interested in the sensational, feeling aspects of a question. -
Barna replied to Barna's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
The meaning, purpose and origin of questioning are all interesting, but that's not what I'm after. When I sit down for a self-inquiry the following happens: - What am I? - Seems like I'm everything right here in this present moment. - And what is this present moment? - This present moment seems to be an inquiry. - What is an inquiry? What is a question? - A question seems to be a thought form in the mind fueled by curiosity. - What is curiosity? - Curiosity feels like a reaching out to know more. But it also feels like a pulling in of all the available information. - Where does curiosity gets its energy to reach out and pull in? At this point I feel like I don't have more answers because the question is inquiring the source of existence itself. But I might be wrong, that's why I was asking you guys. -

@Mu_ In your video you're focusing on the validity of a question from an intellectual point of view. I'm not really interested in the meaning of a question because ultimately no question can be answered. What I'm interested in is the sensational, feeling actuality of a question. How does it feel? How am I creating it right now? What is curiosity in this present moment? -

For me a judgment feels like the feeling of "No!" expressed in a thought. -
Barna replied to krockerman's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Perfection is simply the lack of judgment. Everything is already perfect right now if you can just stop judging it for a second. Just let go of your judgments. Just for a few seconds. Can you do that? -
Barna replied to How to be wise's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Understanding isn't happening in the mind. The mind can create thoughts based on certain understandings, but understanding itself is not in the mind. Understanding isn't happening in thoughts, it's happening in the silence between the thoughts. The ability to understand anything is part of the intelligence of consciousness itself. -
I've read it like a year ago, but it still pops into my mind from time to time

I had the same question a few years ago. Why do you want to improve your energy skills? What's the end goal there? -
Barna replied to Umar_uk's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I wish the best for the people who are following your philosophy... Psychonauts are the bravest people on this planet, they don't need my good wishes -
Barna replied to Umar_uk's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Almost everybody can notice the eternal now, but not everybody appreciates it. Psychedelics and meditation are for getting a deeper, more complete view on the eternal now. A psychedelic experience leaves a mark, it leaves a desire to have a deeper experience of reality. I agree with you, no drugs or spiritual practice is required for deep realizations. But when people don't even have the desire for deep experiences and understandings then telling them that "everything to experience is already here and now" is not helpful for them. So the question is: do you want to be right, or do you want to be helpful? -

I plan to move to SF or somewhere in Silicon Valley because of my profession -

I'm more interested in the mentality of the people than just the laws. There are countries where 5-meo is not a scheduled substance, but that doesn't mean that the people of the country even know about the substance. And you can get 5-meo almost anywhere, regardless of its legal status -

I also had the same question. You might get surprised, but I decided that I will move to California. There are a few reasons for it: it's easy to live a zero CO2 emission life there. The county is unmatched in the speed that it's moving into using renewable energy sources, like solar. And for a Californian salary one can afford to buy an electric car and put some solar panels on the roof of the house. As we develop and we become more caring, protecting the environment will become more and more important The people there seem to be also conscious about their diet. If you move there then probably most of the people you choose to hang out with will be vegetarians The people are very open minded there. They legalized weed and now they're on the way of legalizing other psychedelics as well. It's a pity that the laws are changing so slowly, but it's good to see that the people there are already open to these substances. The trend of microdosing LSD originates from there If you like to have fun with open minded people, Burning Man is nearby every summer My favorite spiritual teachers live nearby (Adyashanti, Matt Kahn, Leo) Can you think of a better place to live for spiritual people? -
Barna replied to Pure Imagination's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Why do you think that spirituality is something extra that you do? When you sit down, do you like to think about random stuff, or do you like more to relax your mind and just feel your breath as it gives you life? When you want to watch something, do you like to watch some no-brainer action movie, or do you like to listen to deeper talks of your favorite teachers? What I'm trying to point out is that you don't have to make any kind of sacrifices for spirituality, you just have to be very sincere with yourself about what you like to spend your time with. If you sincerely don't want to spend your time with "spiritual-spiritual" stuff, then whatever you're choosing to do instead, that's gonna become your spiritual practice, just put your whole heart into it. @Pure Imagination cool name btw. My brain cannot read it without singing -

Yes. Once you're there, you're there. It doesn't matter how you got there. Causality doesn't make sense in the state of infinity. I'm talking about the usefulness of psychedelics in general for most of the people who want to know why to pay attention to the present moment. I didn't realize that you made this thread to talk only about yourself
