  1. I have a somewhat similar experience. Would really like to hear what others have to say.
  2. Would appreciate if you could post the sources that you have found already
  3. Hey! When have you got into the habit of waking up early? It may take some time to get used to be awake in the early hours. Try it for a month straight and see if it works. Just a suggestion.
  4. I do follow the same channel that @The Son suggested. I like her workouts, somehow they are very soothing and make me feel great. I only recently discovered yoga and I feel great every time I do it. I am not sure how dangerous to do it at home yourself, I haven't noticed any issues so far.
  5. I agree and I know that negative motivation isn't good in the long run. But right now I would take what I can, until I develop the right habits. If positive motivation ain't working...
  6. Mine so far has been good. I also realized that sometimes you need to have some repercussions for not getting things done. For instance, once I said to my accountability partner that I would buy him a drink (it's expensive (!), while I hate wasting money. Besides, I am not a fan of alcohol), if I don't succeed in doing the job. I must say that was probably the most powerful thing that made me accomplish the task.
  7. That's what I kind of thought too. But I am not sure that's ideal though. I am still in doubt whether that's fine or not. I mean Leo talks about showering and listening to videos. Eating and showering, though, are quite different activities.
  8. For me that's definitely morning. Almost immediately after waking up. I usually start my day by going to the bathroom and cleaning my face and then drinking a glass of water. Then I sit down and meditate. After I'm done, I feel great. Not only because I've just meditated, but also because I know I've done a thing I should be doing. So doing it in the morning right after waking up gives me momentum and saves me from trouble of thinking that I need to meditate.
  9. I am a big fan of minimalism. I think it's a great subject. I am still working on it and trying to remove all unnecessary things that "clutter up" my life: such as distracting yourself with work all the time, focusing on so many personal projects, trying to meet everyone, etc. I am sure I will figure it out at some point, but for now it's a learning process. Would love to hear how others are practising minimalism
  10. That's a question that interests me as well. I am still not sure what is better. The most common case of my own multi-tasking is exactly this one: eating and listening to some YT videos. I think best is just sharing your food time with someone else and maybe have a chat while eating.
  11. The reason I stopped drinking coffee is this mental addiction of consuming something nice, for pleasure. So every single day I would wait for this cup of coffee as if it's my saviour. I had also physical addiction to it, but that was much lower than the psychological one. It would drain my focus, because I would often think of my coffee that I want to get. So the issue is more on the psychological side, than physiological, I think. But that's me.
  12. Wow, @Roman! Pretty ambitious trip. I live in Finland and I might consider doing this at some point too. Would love to hear about it more after your trip.
  13. @Murtaza Hey! Great to hear that! I also have Money Master the Game (that's the second book I haven't finished :D). The other one that I haven't finished is in the title of this thread. Thanks for support! I will do my best to read those from cover to cover, I guess I am just procrastinating. There's so much fascinating stuff to read...
  14. I have to say that I've started reading two books by Tony Robbins, but for some reason I cannot finish neither of them. No idea why. Maybe the style he is writing in is not attractive to me. Or maybe there's too much advising and dry facts. Haven't figured it out yet. I usually finish my books, by the way. Great to hear others find his books useful and interesting
  15. I read the book and there were really good points in it. For instance, that we have different desires of how love should be expressed. Some love physical touch, some would prefer words of appreciation and kindness, others prefer receiving gifts as a sign of love of their partner. I would recommend it, if you want to understand a little bit more about relationship.
  16. Working out for me is a pleasant thing. I love the feeling when the blood starts circulating fast. That's why cardio is so awesome, in my opinion. I do feel sometimes tired, and then I just push myself to do it. But most of the times that's not the case. I would guess the best solution to this would be to make exercising enjoyable. In fact, I don't even need any motivation (neither positive, nor negative) for exercising. This, of course, wasn't always like that. It took some time to develop the habit to exercise. And I've also done at some point a serious commitment that I will always take care of my body. I think that's one of the biggest investments you can make in life: in your body.
  17. @Mohsinuddin You could maybe define more clearly what do you mean by the word "healthy"? Do you mean the air pollution or anxiety issues that people living in the city might acquire?
  18. I would say experiment with other things we have all different taste. I, for instance, can eat almost anything and I enjoy it. For others that's not the case. Perhaps it's easier to start with something that is not too far from what you are used to eat.
  19. Yes, I also like this topic.
  20. I guess this might have become a habit for you - to eat whenever you are stressed. I myself have this tendency. My personal opinion is that you could look into changing this habit. What is it that you get from eating that food? Do you get stress relieve? If so, you may experiment and try to figure out what else releases the stress for you. Everyone is individual, so it's important to understand which things work specifically for you. Another thing I would suggest is meditating. It is a solution to everything. You might not notice the effects right away, but only after some time. It will make you much more conscious about things that are happening within you.
  21. Thanks for your tips, Simon! Yes, I do realize that the vegetables are the ones that are worth having in the smoothie in abundance. That's why I really liked your blend of greens.
  22. You could say that I feel usually that it takes so much effort to blend (you need to clean the blender afterwards, etc.), so I just usually eat the fruits raw as they are. I also live with another flatmate who sleeps late. So I am also afraid of waking her up. But besides these reasons, I like the texture of the fruits, so I feel I am kind of losing some good things when I blend.
  23. Interesting. I got to try the green mix that @Simon Zackrisson suggests. I don't usually feel super energetic after my breakfast, but I also don't feel tired or heaviness in my stomach. Nice. And I've heard of spirulina, but haven't really tried it on my own.
  24. I have never heard of natto Gotta try it one day (despite its sliminess ...) I wonder if it also provides you with these useful bacterias for your stomach flora, just like sauerkraut, etc.?
  25. I am not very sure that my answer would be a qualified one - but I am definitely sure that I became more agile once I started working out. Mind you, I haven't done any serious physical exercises for most of my life. I've started working out when I turned around 25. So maybe starting with fitness and physical exercises could help with that?..
