  1. It happens if I am physically/emotionally tired, not after a particular training. I do cardio, weights, swimming. 2-3 times a week. I do not increase the weights, because I think the weights I am using at the moment are already challenging enough, I feel. The tiredness can hit me at any time of the day. Sometimes it's in the early morning, before breakfast. If I have breakfast, it goes away for a little and might not come back if I don't do anything straining at all (which is challenging, because I love doing straining things).
  2. Thanks! Haven't done any blood tests, not sure what exactly I should aim at. The doctors will probably ask for a reason.
  3. @Annie I have heard about it, haven't tried yet. Would it solve the issue though? It might sooth the symptoms, sure. I wonder if there's some systemic inflammation in my body caused somehow by the food or other things...
  4. I think it's best just to try and see what works at least in the short term.
  5. Yes, I also think that eggs are my best option. Thanks for suggestions!
  6. @pluto I am testing a Paleo diet at the moment, so a lot of those do not fit into the acceptable options. Will note those for the future, however.
  7. @Michael569 What are your suggestions for an animal protein replacement? Or did you talk only about dairy, but not the meats?
  8. It varies. I try to follow paleo as much as I can. So I eat eggs, vegetables, fruits, small amounts of meat (very small and rarely), nuts. From times to times I would eat also sweets and bread. And more often than that I would eat dairy.
  9. Thanks! How effective the remedy is in your opinion? How would you rate it on the scale of five? I have tried similar things, eg honey and I barely notice any improvements.
  10. Thanks for the list, but I am aware of literally all of those. In fact, quite a few of them I do follow almost religiously. It's a sort of OCD. I still get the infection though. I'm suspecting that my immunity has gone down significantly. No idea why. Maybe because of the surgery I have had couple of months back. Though I was getting sick even before that. It seems that my throat is the weak spot. Will keep researching about what I could do.
  11. Well, it is popular all over the world, I guess. I will try this out - no sugar or milk for 2 weeks. If that cures me of this constantly reappearing infection, I am ready to give it up.
  12. By sugar you mean any carbohydrate? It would be quite tough. Even veggies have carbs.
  13. @Loreena thanks! I am positive it has nothing to do with allergies. It's most likely that it's some hidden infection. And yes, I am sure I am getting enough of vitamin C. Also honey doesn't help in such cases. I know drinking lots of water helps, that's what I do.
  14. Dancing is awesome! It's a form of arts + exercise. It's awesome because you can forget yourself and just enjoy the movement. I like any type of dance, but especially the energetic type. Try this:
  15. I think I am mindful about what I am eating. It doesn't help me though. I think it's probably compensation for something that I don't get. Emotional crutch at times. In fact, being aware of the reason helps more, I believe. The overeating and eating unhealthy or addictive stuff can have several reasons, I notice. First, you might be just all hungry and there's no other food around so you binge on unhealthy (of course, you might have cooked something healthy, but you feel lazy and already super hungry so you go for the fast solution). Second, it can be because you are doing something you don't actually like, i.e. something you force yourself doing. So to compensate for it you start eating stuff that tastes really good.
  16. What type of vegetable juice? I actually think it might make me want more food. I might have to try to know for sure. I doubt I am dehydrated - I drink lots of water throughout the day. I carry a one litre bottle with me everywhere.
  17. I am almost ignorant in regards to nutrition. OK, I do know the basics, like the fact that clean plant-based diet is better in most ways than the animal one. I am a vegetarian (except I eat fish sometimes, suggested by my doctor) for a couple of years now and because of the lack of proper research and knowledge, I got in some trouble. Long story short, some of my hormone levels went down. To give some more details, my diet includes lots of fruits. In fact, I notice now that when I eat a fruit it makes me crave more of it. Like I would eat 5 apples a time or 3 bananas in the morning. So I am wondering if I actually became sugar addicted because of that? Another thing, it's hard for me to feel full for a long time. In fact, I eat quite big portions of food. Though, usually the food is rather light. So what would be examples of food that you eat and that make you feel good, but also satiated for a long time?
  18. If you are in a relationship, why have you chosen to be in one? Have you thought about it? I was thinking about this today, because I am seeing a guy right now and I want to make sure this doesn't lead yet to another dead-end. The answers I've found for myself: 1. feeling of relatedness 2. sharing the moments together 3. having fun & supporting each other at unfortunate moments in life 4. sexual aspect The order in which I've put the above isn't necessarily connected with the importance or intensity. For example, the sexual attraction is at its height right now. I must also mention that there are some fears that motivate me to pursue a relationship. For example, the pressure of having kids. And the fear of being lonely on the weekends.
  19. Could you tell us what exactly do you eat for breakfast then?
  20. Interesting, indeed. I've never heard of this before. Has there been done any actual scientific study on this matter?
  21. @Michael569 Will do that, thanks for suggesting! Probably adding them to a salad is the easiest. Do you btw add any salt to them? The canned ones are salty, which is sure not healthy. However, it makes them that much tastier.
  22. I love cardio. I do it in all forms possible: dancing, body combat, kickboxing, interval training, etc. There's so much that you can try. You can never get bored, really. And it makes you feel great too! I do cardio at least 2 times a week for an hour. I also understand the importance of strength training, which I seemed to ignore for some time. I do strength training once a week. Then I go swimming, which relaxes my muscles and it feels great overall. You feel like you are flying after it Pilates is another one that I turned to again after my recent wrist injury, because I couldn't really do anything else. I also do stretching or yoga every morning for 10 minutes. And sometimes 4 minutes Tabata workouts. My favorites: dancing, body combat and swimming!
  23. Regarding the canned beans. Here are the can contents: red kidney beans, water, sugar, salt, modified maize starch, antioxidant (ascorbic acid). 100 grams of the beans carry 111 kilocalories.
  24. Fats make digestion harder. Although I have to agree that you have a point. The key is probably the balance. I don't want to eat too many fats either. And it's hard to know what is the right amount. Regarding nuts, they don't make me full at all! I've tried eating like 10, even 15 of them and their effect is minimal. Eating salmon has an immediate satiating effect, even though there's other side effects to it as @Michael569 already mentioned. Eating avocado also doesn't make me full (tried with eating one whole avocado).
  25. Milk and banana? And also peanut butter? For me personally that would definitely result in huge bloating I could of course replace the bananas with something else, maybe cocoa? But that's also too stimulating I think.
