  1. i hear you man. im in the same space as you and struggled with this for so long one thing that might help is to remember is that finding focus, things you enjoy, getting clear on your values etc. are all completely possible for you. i had a long period where i didnt believe it was possible. but getting clarity on this is a really human thing. it's a product of contemplation, reading and testing. we all have values and a purpose one thing is, to stop trying so hard and let go. trust that it will come. by pushing and worrying so much, you might actually be pushing it away. let go, set a clear intention and take baby steps it will also help to sit down and listen to your heart and intuition. it's been telling you things, but you haven't been listening i feel you with the no friends thing. man, working when you're so completely alone is hard. honestly maybe make some friends first. some questions that may help: your answers will come, even if not immediately, eventually they will come, i promise. question why you even want what you want whatever it is that you're going for. ask what do you really want? and what do you need the most right now? what's keeping me stuck? and how do i get over it?
  2. @DrewNows haha oops I meant blue and lower @Leo Gura okay sweet that's good to know
  3. Noah elkrief i really enjoy recently. i love his stuff on self-worth
  4. congrats man. i did the same thing and it worked for some time what helped 100x over was having friends who either understood & supported the journey or were also on the same path
  5. agree with @fridjonk you have to speak to him through orange. that video you posted is actually kind of advanced, you need to have a decent framework to hear that and that video will probably get automatically dismissed and actually be counterproductive he sees the world through science, so helping him find things in his direct experience instead of through the lens of science will help.

  8. What is happiness from a human perspective? How do I help people around me to live high consciously? How do I break learned helplessness and get out of addiction to negativity?
  9. it's a great quote. When i was 19 and in the beginnings of me personal development, a quote similar to that hit me so hard. it showed me that there is so much more to life and i was truly capable. i also love "anything can be turned into an opportunity"
  10. Yes it can be used as a distraction, as I've done it for that But it can also increase your awareness on whatever you want if you set the intention for it I've used it to purge emotions, gain insight on my issues, experience deeper relationships with people, and help me move forward overall I've tried between .03 to .2 and like .05 for the daily life boost and .2 for insight I've also fell into some fear and overthinking traps which initially freaked me out but later I learnt they were opportunities to purge I follow Dr.Fadiman's approach and initially did it once every 3 days. but now i just listen to my intuition I either experience much deeper and enjoyable relationships with people and also the other end, where my fears were exaggerated. But again, i think this was opportunity to purge I also feel like a super genius on it sometimes lol. Try reddit.com/r/microdosing to hear other people's experiences
  11. Wow. I like it so far. Very grateful. This is a huge problem for me
  12. @ElenaO what do you practice/learn?
  13. Wish I could help. But what I can say is that it's very doable to hit 150k. i have several friends ages 22-24 making that much so it's definitely doable
  14. I've taken a compilation of threads that I've found useful to help with letting go. They are all dense with insight This simple letting go technique will transform your life, allowing you let go of emotions, neuroses, thoughts, judgments, stories, and compulsions. Summary of Leo's video: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1rXMDHyrqEtYTflSLzFZGqC9KJWkKs7l0DyUeS1X2poM/edit?usp=sharing I also recommend the book: sedona method and power of now. These things are full of insight
  15. I felt a similar way when doing therapy. A lot of the therapists simply have not done basic or spiritual self-development work on themselves so it was hard to ask for or get good advice on many topics. I still have not found the right therapist for me, but now I see that therapists can help within their framework Like a bipolar specialist will give you useful coping tools for dealing with bipolar. But they won't have much experience with big picture, holistic medicine, consciousness work etc. A dating coach will help you talk to girls and give you girls strategies but I noticed that many of them lack the inner game, and proper self-esteem work A general therapist is probably good as a "talk therapist". If they're good, they'll hear and listen to you, and come from a non-judgemental place. Yours definitely seemed like having a a too big of a gap in understanding. Conventional therapy work is probably not something for you, you will benefit more from some kind of specialist. but now you know better what kind of therapist you need like @Calmness mentioned, I think a more "spiritual" therapist will help you. someone familiar with the nondual path. they for sure exist. or perhaps even a therapist that has extensive experience in non-conventional psychology and have explored the more esoteric method. my therapist right now has some decent understanding of buddhism (though no direct experience), and carl jung's shadow work. she also is really good at listening, and hearing from a more non-judgemental space she's not perfect, but she's way better than what i went to in the past i'm sure you can find people who can fit your needs better and also consider that one person probably won't have everything you need (my consensus so far) What are your needs particularly and what kind of person do you think can fulfill them? From your notes, I see you got some valuable data
  16. im with you. i fell under the same trap and am working through integrating those parts of myself
  17. Meetup.com Facebook groups This forum Yoga classes (small at home ones and at centers) Communities of a certain teacher Meditation retreats Finding people on Instagram Also Always being open to strangers, you may be surprised at how well you connect or how open the person is or what they know despite your initial preconceived notions Reducing standards of perfectionism in your friends. Some people are just earlier on the journey, but are still on the journey and that's okay.
  18. he has some here: http://www.nathanielbranden.com/sentence-completion-i
  19. I don't yet have this in my direct experience, but Leo said he made the mistake of thinking that enlightenment produced emotional mastery, and then realized that they are distinct things that help one another But to your question, Yeah I'm wondering this too and super curious. Like what the fuck does emotional mastery look like? I think I should ask that question on psychedelics
