  1. Infinity. I think there's a difference between infinity manifest and infinity unmanifest. And therefor not all of infinity has to exist or has to ever exist. Even though the possibility for anything is always there. Like emptiness. Or in other words, infinity as the paint with which God paints. As a creative force exploring what infinity has to offer. After all, it's infinite. You can keep exploring it forever. And that's what's happening as we speak. And so a universe like this is formed. And I feel like there's something that has this huge responsibility of making it all work out like it does so perfectly in this universe. Instead of a universe where there's only a little yellow circle moving around in a green space for billions of years without end. If there's no will to experience it, it won't be experienced.
  2. Using the word "Love" to describe the indescribable is just as valid as using the word "Truth." And both fall short. And if you've never heard spiritual teachers talk about love before, you haven't been paying attention. It's all they do.
  3. @Mikael89 Love has no opposites. Love is the absence of these polarities. And the ego can not know it. I agree with what you are saying but what you call the whole picture is Love. It's that all-inclusiveness. Unconditional love is the most hardcore thing there is. It's the embodiment of Truth. A lot different from that hippie movement love.
  4. Its called the monkey mind because right now its completely out of your control. Rambling on and on. Its just a tiny fraction of who you are yet you are completely identified with it. So in a way yes, everything you call "I" is referring to this monkey mind. In meditation we start to question this assumption of "I", simply by witnessing what's actually here. What's aware of this monkey mind? Where do some of these thoughts come from? And why should I believe every single one of them? In time this notion of who or what you are starts to shift somewhere else. So the monkey mind isn't the one that's meditating. Through meditation the monkey mind is seen to be false, and seen to have been false all along. You don't even have to eliminate it. It can just be what it is, without identifying yourself with it. What a relief.
  5. This is interesting. I kind of see myself as an extreme case of HSP haha. Yes, spirituality / awakening sometimes feels like it comes easier to me. Its like I can easily tap into it at will. 9 out of 10 times meditation pulls me into some kind of awakened/mystic state. Which is great. I can grow very quickly in a short amount of time because of it. That said The downside is that I'm equally sensitive towards ego. Im very easily addicted for instance. In a weird way these two forces even themselves out. But life turns into this extreme eb and flow between spirituality and addiction. But, that's exactly what turns it into an oppurtunity for growth. Its very easy to notice these things happening to you when a lot of it is based in extremes. Took some time to appreciate that though. And lets not even begin about psychedelics.
  6. Well sure, so is 'consciousness'. Eventually all words fall flat. Yet, one walk in nature and I'll happily call it love instead of consciousness. It doesn't matter what I call it anyway. And I'm not talking about love as an emotion. That would be another division. More like, love as the inevitable expression of the Absolute. Why is being, being? Because it loves to be. If it didn't, it wouldn't have been. And I call that Love.
  7. @Squidward This is good. Next time it happens, see if you can bring the same peace youv'e found in your meditation into these moments of 'ego backlash'. That can also mean going along with the storm your mind is creating. Just notice the space which is aware of this. Whenever this happens, its simply your body showing you what's in need of your attention. It's noticing that you are now able to handle these feelings, and so they surface. And also remember, the reason you are feeling moments of depression and anxiety is only because you've not been allowing these kind of feelings. Meditation is showing you a new approach, straight into that which feels intolerable to you. But those thoughts of 'I dont want this' are whats blocking you from experiencing the full spectrum of reality. Its not as bad as it sounds. Eventually this process is something you'll start to enjoy. And that itself will show you how much you've grown.
  8. f. all of the above Edit: Oh, I see. f. See
  9. So the awakening process has really stepped up its game lately and Ive been having lots of deep insights. These insights in turn allow me to go a lot deeper within myself and I want to share one of these insights today in the form of a technique that has really turned out to be one of the most powerful methods of tackling the deepest forms of resistance within myself. Ive been having an ongoing headache for some 5 to 6 years now and the rest of my body is filled with all kinds of tensions as well. This has been my greatest curse but at the same time my greatest blessing in that I probably wouldnt have been practicing spirituality without it. Im at peace with them right now. As much as I can be. So yesterday for the first time really, Ive been able to adress the deepest rooted tensions and right now, the day after, my entire body feels like its glowing peacefully. What Ive discovered is that the ego is able to create little moments of panic within you. Whenever you're feeling into a feeling these moments of panic are the exact moments where you tell yourself to stop feeling into it and return safely to thougt. This process is very subtle and therefor can be a very unconscious thing. But Ive been really playing with this and started to ask myself the question.. what is this panic really? What Ive found is that the ego's panic utilises a couple of similar ways of scaring you out of being with the feeling. The idea that you're running out of breathe. The idea that you're choking The idea that you're dying The idea that you're losing it Any idea with this kind of intensity Note that every one of these ideas are just that... Ideas. When you feel into a feeling and then when it gets very intense you actually get the idea that you're running out of breathe. This isn't the case at all. Its just a trick of the ego. An ego defense mechanism that you've been obeying all this time. Its one of its many lies. And you can question it. Really, start to notice what happens in the exact moment you leave the feeling in favor of thought. It can also be subtle form of any of these. But its making you panic straight back to thought, even if only a little bit. So what now? All this time your safe anchor point has been in thinking. You return to thinking every time a feeling gets too intense. But what if you change this anchor point to breathing? In other words, being. Any kind of ego idea of panic can be seen through by looking at the breathe and therefor noticing that you are actually perfectly fine in this moment. Its the perfect counter punch to these lies. This is what would change. Theres an idea that im running out of breathe / but I can see that im breathing. So im fine. Theres an idea that im choking / but I can see that im breathing. So im fine. Theres an idea that im dying / but I can see that im breathing. So im fine. Theres an idea that im losing it / but I can see that im breathing. So im fine. Instead of returning to thought over and over again you can now go waaaaay deeper into the emotions and everytime theres a moment of resistance, recognise that any form of panic is simply an idea that holds no truth. The ego has no actual powers other than creating concepts in your mind. You are breathing. You are fine. Hope this helps you as much as its helping me. Ive been overwhelmed with how deep these feelings can actually go now that theres nothing stopping me from feeling into them anymore. Your entire shadow will reveal itself. It takes some courage at first, but when the lies have been seen through, youll start to slowly ease into this new intensity within you. Good luck. And let me know if this works for you.
  10. Yeah, nothingness and emptiness are words that can easily confuse, or even scare people. There isn't nothing. There is simply no thing. You only use the word nothing because you though there were things in the first place. I do kind of like the word no-thing-ness though. But these words kind of fall flat eventually because they first have to point to an illusion in order to describe truth.
  11. Including the body is a crucial step in deepening your meditation practice. The way I meditate might be of help to you. This isnt some kind of strange technique, its simply what my meditation has evolved into lately. Become aware of being conscious. See that this conscious space is not an object, and become aware of its no-thing-ness. Instead of trying to define this space... be the empty space. See that this is already the case. One by one start including everything that seems to be separate from it, into this space of oneness. Any tension in the body is simply made of the belief that its separate from this space. Surrender that part of the body to it, and see what that does with the tension. You can also do this with thoughts / feelings etc. Surrender, surrender, surrender, until theres nothing left but this conscious space. Enjoy. If you lose it, repeat. These steps are just guidelines, don't worry about them. Become aware of the mechanism of surrendering. This is all that meditation really is. Surrendering everything you thought was seperate into unity. But always locate this space first. That's where the healing occurs. Your body is tensed because you believe its yours. But it belongs to consciousness. Its possible that it may feel that these tensions will actually increase at first, but that only means you're becoming more aware of them. In time, you should start to feel more and more at peace with your body. Yoga can take this to the next level. But in essence, its the same kind of surrendering. Hope that helps
  12. Haha yup. The truth can hurt. I remember a couple of years ago I couldnt bare to listen to Adyashanti for example. He was so damn honest and crude at times. He was the first non-dual teacher I found that didnt sell enlightenment solely as something that would make you happy. And I guess at that point that was all I was after. Right now he's my favorite teacher.
  13. These people reflect positivity because they had deep insights. Not the other way around. They have simply embodied their peaceful nature, which they have encountered through deep contemplation. But mind you, becoming peaceful/positive isn't easy. It means being able to cope with absolute hell as well. And that's exactly what makes them so positive/peaceful. Nothing can harm/trigger them anymore. In other words, shadow work.
  14. In a recent awakening I had this simple insight, which I find difficult to put in words. But it felt so powerful that I will try my best. ----- Answer this question: What do you want the most in life on the deepest level? Your answer will probably be love and happiness. Most of all, you want love and happiness. Peace. But, you are identified with an ego. With a body/mind. So, you, the one that wants love and happiness, wants it only for yourself. And we all know the problems that arise from that. But what if we could completely take away that identification for a moment, and ask that same question again? What do you, without this identification as a separate ego, want the most in life on the deepest level? What would that answer be? Meditate on this. The answer, still, is love and happiness! The exact same as before. But now it's not seen from the perspective of ego. Can you see what that shows you? You ARE a field of consciousness which only wants love and happiness! In other words, peace. That doesn't change when there's an ego. Your egoic desires to be happy have been coming from your essential source all along. There really is no egoic desire! There's only a misunderstanding. The ego itself. So now... this desire for love and happiness is no longer limited to your body/mind. You want it for everyone and everything. Because that's what you essentially are. God only wants love and happiness! Because you are God, and you just gave that answer to the question above. ----- Please don't let love be the missing piece of the puzzle. We often dismiss this entire notion of love in the name of rationality and cold truth. Which is fine at times. But really, you'll find out... There's nothing here but this infinite field of love. We can give it names like consciousness, awareness. But it's just love. And again, your deep desire for it shows it to you. For me personally, this has been the insight that has really set things off. I've had a really difficult couple of months because I couldn't really accept where I was heading, and things got this really serious vibe because of it. Which I guess was a great time for me to face some of those demons. But after this particular awakening... there's now this newfound trust. Trust in that which I essentially am. And it makes it a lot easier to surrender whenever it gets difficult. Anyway, hope that helps. <3
  15. Sadhguru says the exact same thing here. I like how he uses the word greed in a positive light. That's key in transcending judgment of our ego's. Understanding the mechanism behind it until it collapses. So again, the fundamental "greed" behind capitalism isn't greed at all. It's the exact same force of God that wants to take care of itself, yet our confused ego's try to claim that force for themselves. And so it starts to look something like the greed we see so much of today. That's how you end up with a world of seven billion people taking care of themselves first and foremost instead of just being one with that force that is always perfectly taking care of itself. I know I've talked a lot about God's wanting of love and happiness. But I think a better wording would be: God's nature is taking care of itself. Which is the exact same thing. I really love how when you have a profound insight, the entire world starts to reflect that insight back to you. That's how you know you're on the right path. And that's an insight by itself. Anyway, thought that was a cool little 'coincidence' and wanted to share it. Exactly! And simply by seeing this we become God's. The devil's one and only trick is to completely forget about itself, and in this forgetting he actually becomes alive, so to speak. Because now we think people are actually greedy. So we judge them and in that judging we turn ourselves and those people into devils! And so the devil is born. Out of the duality that you've just created. It's the most beautiful, yet terrifying play. Look at it like this. When the one truth is: God/Consciousness takes care of itself. The desire for truth and the desire for happiness are the exact same thing! In finding truth, we find our happiness.
  16. Sounds interesting! Would love to try it when there's an iOS version.
  17. In the ultimate sense, you are one with everything. So following your heart simply means taking care of that which you are. Including your body/mind, including everyone else. Why do you want to be a healer first and foremost? If the answer is to genuinely help out other people, then you can rest assured that it's coming from the heart. Taking care of that which needs taking care of within consciousness. That's the nature of love. The ego might interfere with its own reasons, but don't even be interested in that. These egoic reasons can still be there. It's not always one or the other. Therefor, it's really important to really get a taste of what the heart really is. Make it your life's work to find out. It's who you are. And the more you'll understand what it is, the more you'll be in tune with what it wants. Until one day, following your heart makes no more sense to you. Your every decision will be straight from the heart.
  18. Don't look for peace in the outcome of a possible future. Look for it in the midst of hell. If you can find it there, you can find it everywhere. Your job has nothing to do with your suffering. It's really important to understand that. To really be free of that belief. It's not that black and white. Even though I might not be enlightened (yet), I'm a million times more happy than I was this time last year. That in itself has already been more than worth it.
  19. The ability to see that dream and reality are made of the exact same substance.
  20. Yes perhaps, but recognising the beauty of the world is the perfect place to start from. The next step is to recognise that same beauty within yourself. In other words, meditation.
