  1. Love Leo's channel and am very grateful for the insights it has provided in my personal life. I was fascinated to see that Leo's got over 20m hits on youtube. When you think about the length of the videos, the non-physical concepts and minimal editing, you'd think that it would be hard to be this popular. But obviously Leo has done a lot of work on himself and has found a way to appeal in a way that is quite unique. I have two questions. Q1: I'm curious to find out what you think makes his youtube channel so appealing and whether he markets it? The reason I'm asking this is because people like Leo have inspired me to transition from a traditional career (Civil Engineering) to a vocation I'm even more passionate about - www.bodyknowsbest.net (An online portal to share mental strategies that helped me lose 34kgs). I'm pleased with the impact the content on the website is making. However, I don't have a background in digital marketing and business. These are the ideas I'm currently considering to reach more people: Youtube Channel Twitter - reaching out to influencers Guest Posts Content marketing - not just blog posts but also infographics and slideshare Quora Q2: I would love your help (even Leo!) for any ideas you may have to grow the outreach over the internet. What do you think is the best way to reach the people who will find the most benefit from the services I wish to provide. Kern
  2. That comparison was really helpful to know @Brian Greendahl. Thanks for that! @Sarah_Flagg Leo puts in a lot of work but I'm assuming he would outsource his transcribing though something like fiverr.com @Saarah Awesome to know about the e-mail list. I'm trying to build mine up. It took me a long time to get to 100 subscribers but when an influencer posted my link on his facebook, it doubled my list instantly. I find it amazing how these things can accelerate your progress, I'm hoping to learn how you can deliberately do things like this. In the mean time, there will be a lot of process oriented work being put in like @step1 suggests! Would love to hear from Leo as well!
  3. @Pamela Zamora Hi Pamela! I suffered from the same thing for 6 years before I finally found a solution. You can approach this problem from two levels: First Level - Manage the stressful period of your life. There are various strategies on this but sometimes we just can't help it (common for all of us!). Second Level - Understand how decision making and willpower works. There are two things about willpower that helped me minimise emotional eating. I've taken the following excerpt from my free online course, I think you'll find it worthwhile: I applied the above in my lifestyle by having a rule of not storing chocolates in our home pantry. Everytime I felt like having chocolate, I was allowed to have it as long as I drove down to the local supermarket and eat it in the car park. You can imagine that I rarely ever had the willpower to do that all that work for a piece of chocolate. I hope this gives you inspiration to come up with your own environment design rule Kern
  4. @Neill Bolton Very true. Important to stay dedicated and enjoy the process. But I'm hoping to learn what else it takes on the side whilst producing great content.
  5. @Free Spirit Hi mate, People here have great insights to both sides of the story. Because I was bombarded by so much information, I wasn't able to make a decision initially purely out of confusion. But for a month, I decided to just give it a go and listen to how my body felt as compared to relying on external information. This is what I noticed within myself after not eating meats for a month: I had higher, more sustained energy My digestion was more consistent I became hungry quicker I lost weight (counter intuitive to above hah) I found it easier to make food decisions as food options became more limited This is what happened to me. I encourage you to find out through experiential learning and see whether it works for you or not. Let us know how it goes Kern
