I've been a stressed out, anxious, overthinker, and very unpassionate person this past year, and so I decided to watch Leo's recent video on happiness to learn how to become happier. In the video he claims that happiness is conditional i.e: you need certain conditions to be happy e.g: you can't be happy if you have bad relationships in your life/you can't be happy just sitting in a room meditating all day... and this makes a lot of sense to me However, I've also been watching Leo's older videos on meditation and mastering your emotions and Leo always used to say that meditation and mastering your emotions will allow you to be happy without needing anything. After finally getting serious with meditiation and mastering my emotions recently I feel so amazing which makes me seriously unsure what is true... whether happiness is conditional or not. It really makes sense to me that happiness would be unconditional since if Leo used to say these kinds of things about meditation and mastering your emotions, means that he was experiencing that "unconditonal happiness", meaning it was real? Apologises if this post doesn't make much sense, it's my first time making a post on any forum for a long long time, appreciate the replies I get!

Hey Boddee, I'm quite new to spirituality, so if this is silly of me then lmk lol. But maybe you would've been fine if you didn't do it everyday? Since surely that would be really intense. Like way too intense. Im not too sure since I've just seen Leo's video on shamanic breathing and now your post scares me lol I want to use shamanic breathing for the dark night of the soul, what do you think? -

Hey there Michal, this is really random since I found this old post by going on goolge, but can I ask you what you meant about being on why I should meditate more if I'm in the dark night of the soul? Im in a dark night right now and not sure what to do lol. Any help would be appreciated, thank you -
Wait! I know the title of the post sounds stupid as stupid can be, but hear me out. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to on this forum, but I've explained my question for this post as a very short video so that it's easier for me to explain, instead of typing eveyrthing out. The short video can be watched here: https://www.loom.com/share/1ea2c77824a9434d8da11df57d275c96 Extra notes I didn't mention in the video: - I am asking this question because if I can avoid the seperate practice of mindfulness, and instead do it at the same time with meditation, then that would obviously save 20min everyday of doing the mindfulness practice P.S: This is my 2nd post today, and as I am new to the forum I am unaware if there is a post limit, please tell me if there is one since i don't want to be banned from this beautiful place

@charlie cho Hey I can't message you but am curious about curing myself of the impurities with the hints you've got!
-
@integral Yeah I think i agree with that haha
-
@Xonas Pitfall Great comment, this really clears things up for me, thank you for this.
-
@UnbornTao By happiness im basically talking about fulfillment/feeling full and whole in life as I put it
-
@gettoefl im new to spirituality and philosophy so your language hurt my brain haha, no offence
-
@Thetruthseeker Yeah he did i was just curious since in his older videos he shows that you can be very happy from meditation, tho I guess it is true that he wasnt in a warzone or anything like that.
-
@Leo Gura That's one way to scare me haha. Guess you do just gotta cherish every moment of it, can't argue with that.

@NewKidOnTheBlock I see ty for that explanation, have you got any tips of becomign aware of how my emotions are running my life?
-
I see so you'd really agree with Eckhart Tolle then that accepting the present and being in full presence is basically how to get away from suffering, since suffering doesn't exist in the present? And is it ok if you explain to me what it means to respond rather than react. From my understanding, response is where you are conscious vs reacting which is unconscious? But how does this work with happiness and what you was saying? And ngl i have no knowledge of kundalini and chakras, but if you can give me a 1 line summary of that, it'd be appreciated haha Ty for your comment
-
@Buck Edwards Hey yeah that's a really good way to put it tbf, ty for the explanation
-
@Yimpa Yeah I defo will, anyidea how to contact them? It's my 2nd day using this place haa
-
@Buck Edwards I see, ty for the comment, so would you reccomend I do mindfulness as a seperate practice? I'd love all the benefits of mindfulness in my life. Do you know how effective mindfulness meditation is compared to full on mindfulness as a practice itself? And I hate to confuse people xd, but since mindfulness is a way of life, maybe we don't need a practice for mindfulness, since we can just do that throughout our day, I'm assuming that's what you was suggesting?
-
@Thought Art Yeah absolutely it's cool to see his improvements
-
@Raze Shinzen Young is the goat it seems haha
-
@NewKidOnTheBlock Is it ok if you explain your comment more? The entire thing please and specifically when you said " we are all just a mere slaves to our emotions"
-
@UpperMaster Yes I believe you're right, I had the same suspicions about happiness, that it's easier to be happier if you learn techniques like meditation and emotional masrtery but that some conditions like health will take away from overall happiness. So the best thing we can do is improve both the conditional things and you could call the other things spiritual techniques Ig lol. And tysm for the welcome. Im excited to meet people who follow Leo, people who are just as serous about self actualisation as I am, gets too lonley on this journey lol, people my age, at 19, are a completely different breed to me, and I try say that with no judgement, but even that is something I'm learning!
-
@Raze Tysm for sharing that, will watch it soon. Not to be ungrateful in any way, but are you sure it answers my question?

@Yimpa Hey ty for the explanation. Would you happen to know what the post limit is/how frequently I can post? Since I posted this post along with another post within about the span of 15m earlier. Much appreciated
