  1. Not knowing is true knowing
  2. But hang on, you don't need to be able to say you're enlightenment to be enlightenment. It's actually more likely you're enlightenment if you don't say it. But I get what you mean, babies are below thought and we are talking of a state above thought. Pre ego enlightenment and post ego enlightenment should still be the same ultimate Truth., cant be 2
  3. I believe they are in the natural state, as enlightenment is the default. It's only once the ego develops later on and acts like clouds which block the vast sky that is always there, that we start having the problems and suffering. Am I wrong in saying that enlightenment is not something we add on to ourselves, but something that remains once we remove the junk (aka duality/egoic beliefs) ?
  4. All babies are enlightened. It is the natural state. They see the whole world as themself. There are no mind boubdaries created yet. We need to get back to be as a newborn.
  5. Spiritual practice is the attempt of the ultimate to pretend it's gaining the ultimate, but its the ultimate before even the practice starts #pathlesspath I don't think the fast brings him any closer, but what do I know. I think the fasting comes from those days when they equated the spiritual attainment with denying the body.
  6. But do you realise that this only means that what we call hate is made out of love, it doesn't meant that there is no space for it to exist, love is the very reason hate must exist, Love does not discriminate hate as something bad, that's what it is allowed to be also. By the infinite love we don't mean the love that is opposite to hate, but the knowing-being-happiness-love that is at the root of everything, even at the root of unconscious/evil behaviour. The love we talk about here is not the lovey dovey love that one would paint on a canvas with pink colours shiny objects, smiles and hearts, but it is the canvas itself on which positive OR negative things can be drawn. The drawing is secondary and changing, but the canvas is universal and is so vast and infinite that it allows for infinite paintings of negative And positive things to be drawn upon it.
  7. Oh yes, infinity is infinite in all directions, or it wouldn't be infinite. Being itself however is a baseline love which doesn't have an opposite - there can never be infinite non-being as being is the default state.. But Infinite hate, laziness and all that stuff we deem negative must exist. All are aspects of God, even if we label them negatively. Infinity doesn't only include the positive numbers.
  8. Maybe the guy is not very confident around females, as you mentioned he has face deformation in some way. Maybe he is just awkward around women and what you would perceive as him being annoying and unreasonable is his attempt at spending some time with someone of the opposing sex? Feel bad for the dude. And that girl could have been more considerate, it's obvious from this story that the guy has way darker night of the soul than she has and he is having to experience it while sober, while she was hiding behind the drugs.
  9. Sounds to me like you're seeing beyond the illusion of solid matter. Something like what this video talks about.
  10. Bazooka jesus has spoken, this is the final verdict. Magic confirmed
  11. @ivankiss I was there and I have footage of the whole thing!
  12. Self enquiry Practise Beginners in self enquiry were advised by Sri Ramana to put their attention on the inner feeling of i and to hold that feeling as long as possible. They would be told that if their attention was distracted by other thoughts they should revert to the awareness of the I thought, when ever they became aware that their attention had wondered. He suggested various aids to assist this process. One could ask ones self: Who am I? Or where does this I come from? But the ultimate aim was to be continuously aware of the I, which assumes that it is responsible for all the activities of the body and the mind. In the early stages of practice the attention to the feeling I is a mental activity, which takes the form of a thought or a perception as the practice develops the thought I gives way to a subjectively experienced feeling of I. When this feeling ceases to connect and identify with thoughts and objects it completely vanishes. What remains is an experience of being in which the Sense of individuality has temporarily ceased to operate. The experience may be intermittent at first but with repeated practice it becomes easier and easier to reach and maintain. When self enquiry reaches this level there is an effortless awareness of Being, in which individual effort is no longer possible since the I who makes the effort has temporarily ceased to exist. It is not self realisation, since the I thought periodically reasserts itself but is the highest level of practice. Repeated experience of this state of Being weakens and destroys the Vasana, mental tendencies which cause the I thought to rise and when their hold has been sufficiently weakened, the power of the Self destroys the residual tendencies so completely that the I thought never rises again. This is the final and irreversible state of Self realisation. This practice of self attention or awareness of the I thought is a gentle technique, which bypasses the usual repressive methods of controlling the mind. It is not an exercise in concentration nor does it aim at suppressing thoughts. It merely evokes the awareness of the source from which the mind springs. The method and goal of self enquiry is to abide in the source of the mind and to be aware of what one really is by withdrawing attention and interest from what one is not. In the early stages effort in the form of transferring the attention from the thoughts to the thinker is essential but once awareness of the I feeling has been firmly established further effort is counter productive from then on it is more a process of being than doing. Of effortless being rather than an effort to Be. Being what one already is is effortless since being ness is always present and always experienced. On the other hand Pretending to be what one is not, ie.the body and the mind requires continuous mental effort even though the effort is nearly always at a subconscious level. It therefore follows that in the higher stages of self enquiry, effort takes attention away from the experience of Being while cessation of mental effort reveals it. Ultimately the Self is not discovered as a result of doing anything but only by Being. Sri Ramana remarked:
  13. If you really were enlightenment you woud say Our toe, our big fat TOE
  14. Bcause you're maniac? And please don't use the word I, it's triggering my non duality
  15. Woah that go at Someone!! Are you gonna take that @Someone here? This guy is just a wave in the ocean you can take him on! If he was entire ocean then tough luck, but he's just a wave you can do this. This forum is full of nobody arguing with nobody about nothing. We should replace the word I with O every time we speak. O think this is fair and makes more sense.
  16. Sky news recently reported that drunk people can't keep social distancing. Have you heard about this? Do you know about this? I am getting goosebumps just thinking about it., I've never thought it could be, but it is!!
  17. Not sure if you are taking a mickey, but what was quoted looks right. How can you awaken if there is no you to fall asleep in the first place? In that sense awakening is a fantasy of the non existent yet very annoying ego identity.
  18. Eckhart Tolle is often talking about how it's better to make every day life the spiritual practice, rather than having a separate one. It's not about eating the cake or having it, but perhaps using this analogy, enlightenment would mean having the cake or eating it and being at peace with both and either of the choices
  19. @Inliytened1 If one has no sense of self one cannot write in a forum. Even Eckhart Tolle has a sense of self. Also Buddha and Jesus did. Otherwise they would not make sense when they talked. If you have no sense of self, for you it would be the same if you say "bla bla bla" and if you say "ahsfsfskdf", if you say "Go f yourselves" and "Go love yourselves". Because there is nobody there to make distinction between the difference. For an enlightened being to be, there needs to be a sense of self. Even if that sense of self is not the body, there is a sense of self. Even if that sense of self is empty of content, it is there.
  20. And after that if a zen master (or anyone else) slaps you, it still hurts right?
  21. That's planning on a whole different level. 22 years from now! Wow. But enlightenment is about being present to the moment, why wait 22 years, get 'insane' now
  22. You have to be asleep to wake up. Awakening is a business, you are always already awake.
