  1. @Tim R To know you are God, even logically just ask yourself the question - experientially : What is the distance between my deepest most real Self right now and God? (The ultimate must have no distance with your own deepest Self, the Ultimate is ultimately there always) Something with no distance from yourself can be just the same called You.
  2. When he was talking about the many different things people mean as God, he did not mention Awareness. He is in his mind, not direct experience. God is never what we think God is. When he says You are not God, he is referring to you as the body-mind. But you are not that, that's a mistaken identity. The guy just doesn't know what he is. From that human perspective he is absolutely correct and a cool guy too. But "I am God" is still not a ridiculous statement. Just most who say this "I am God" do not mean I as the Body-mind organism, but the awareness that knows all without which no experience can be had.
  3. Leo has stated before that meditation is the number 1 self-help habit. By meditating using the technique above, you are allowing your energies to flow naturally. You are allowing your mind complete relaxation while you remain very much awake. You absolutely need to meditate and let these energies flow, because otherwise your energy will be stagnant and your mind will be cluttered.
  4. Answer this to yourself in practice. https://voca.ro/11G9UScj3zUn Download this meditation - I cut this from one of Leo's videos. I have it on loop on my phone sometimes, because the guidance is simply very good. You will know if it's something you want or not. This is Raja yoga to the highest
  5. What is ❤? Baby don't hurt me ❤ is God, ❤ is 0
  6. Do what is in your control. Are you draining your lifeforce energies? Perhaps look up nofap. Enter "all star mode". Enter "monk mode". Don't try to escape 3d. Watch some gabe dawg... Learn to preserve and channel your energies. There is a girl out there waiting for you, when you fix your energies. Girls want guys, not Gods. Relax a little you don't have to be able to fly and burn planets to be powerful.
  7. @nistake I had a post relating to this recently - didn't get replies so i will use it as reply to you ? In short: For mastery we need to love the plateau and keep going. The plateau is a sure signs we are on the way to mastery. Keep going.
  8. How do you mean, there is nothing other than the truth here.
  9. sorry I need to read up on my Brahman. I like to just use my direct experience, this Brahman thing does not sound like my experience currently When I say Atman I mean the subject of experience ( no form) and when I say Brahman I mean the object of experience. You seem to mean the opposite.
  10. Atman is pure awareness without form. Tell me how can there be a mirage without form?! That's equivalent to no mirage. The mirage is Brahman if anything. All Form is a mirage appearing in Atman. You can verify the reality of Atman, as it is the self which unifies the 3 states: waking, dream and deep sleep. Those 3 states happen to you, is that correct? Just because that you is empty/noform does not mean it doesnt exist. For if it didn't exist, the states would not be known to you. The only reality of a dream is the you that knows it. The rest is illusory happening. In Waking is harder to see this, just as it is hard to see it while a dream at night is happening. My theory is maybe that's why psychedelics might be helpful, as they get you out of the waking state perhaps to a superwaking state and you can see waking as if it's the dream state. Not sure about this as no experience with psychedelics, but it makes sense if its the case.
  11. Oh yeah I get this. In experience the I that unifies all forms of experience is not experienced as a space, I am just using the word for lack of a better one. Definitely I don't mean a physical space when i say this word. But yes there is one reality. It's definitely not dual. Waking dream, just as dream at night, only appears to be there, while it's only dreamlike /hallucinatory/nonexistory which makes it of the same substance as that nothingness that we start with! Just as a dream It only appears to be real while the dream state is happening. Amazing ?? nothing came out of nothing after all Maybe my flavour of nonduality is a bit different, and probably more escapist if I have to be honest. I say this because from what I heard you say the world is real and there is no self type of nonduality, but I say the self is real and there is no world... Which is probably the same thing in the end somehow ... ? lol
  12. Ok but hang on because chair perceives itself, and table perceives itself and a musical note perceives itself but in so called direct experience all of those happen in the same space. This space must exist then, so it also perceives itself like all other things that exist, but can't perceive itself as an object... Couldn't this space be the perceiver/subject? This space is definitely not the Ego self, since the ego self is also an object within that space, which perceives itself like the Red and the Chair and the musical note. To me it seems you are saying here that there is no true self... Or I am not fully understanding.
  13. @Leo Gura I might get it, let me see if I understand. The Perceiver is hallucinating an objective Red and since the perceiver is empty, we can actually say the hallucination is objectively there and there is no subject (since the subject is empty we can equally say there is no subject ). But still I would want to say that the only reality of those "objective hallucinations" is the "subjective emptiness" that knows and unifies them. Not necessarily talking about human subjective experience, but the subjective knowing of this very moment itself. That empty " thing " which connects all objects of experience such as the colour red and sound of a bird. Those two objects might have objective existence but they are both happening in one field of awareness (me) otherwise they would not be known to me and would not have that existence. Its almost like the subjective is allowing the objective to be objective!? Im getting a slight mindfuck brb I'll check those videos for clarification. Btw im taking psychedelic no-fap-dmt hahaha!
  14. @Leo Gura but isn't red simply the perceiver hallucinating red? Im a bit confused ? are you saying red exists objectively?
  15. Is it not Ralston's direct experience that he is aware? If we ask him: "Are you aware?" and if he was perfectly honest, he would have to say "Yes, I am aware". This means it is his direct experience that he is aware. What's all this non-direct nonsense he is on about? Maybe he is saying that you are aware not of objects, but of the knowing or awareness of the objects. But there are no objects there, there is only the awareness, so his other point about consciousness in that case is mute. You can't be conscious of a cup. You can be conscious of your knowing of the combinations of sensations and perceptions that we call cup.
  16. As the title suggests, this is about one of Leo's list of important books - "Mastery" by George Leonard. It explains how on the road to mastery in anything we absolutely must experience what's called a plateau - when we don't feel like much progress is made and it might seem our efforts are not getting us any closer to the desired mastery. Then if one sticks to it and continues, a spurt of growth will happen before the next period of plateau until eventually mastery is reached. Obviously this should also apply to mastery of meditation and mastery of any yoga be it hatha, jnana, raja etc.. Self inquiry too. Here's one of the best exerpts from the book for me so far: Perhaps loving the plateau, where we feel nothing really is happening and our spiritual efforts are useless, is the enlightenment itself is what this text suggests. Because everyone can be happy when noticeable progress is being made and there are results of one's effort, but when we have to do something that doesnt bring immediate fruit, we feel like crying (at least I do). So if you're stuck in a rut with your spiritual practice, don't be so quick to give up the meditations and inquiry, but perhaps look at this resultlessness as a sure sign that you are on the path to mastery. Keep going and love when there is no result and no spiritual experience as much as when there are resuls and there are spiritual experiences. Definitely this book is a page turner and extremely important. PS: Could it also be possible.. just possible that using psychedelics is an attempt to speedrun the advertised plateau? I.e. a way to get continuous growth without having to deal with the stagnant periods that are there when we want to master anything in life?
  17. well to be honest, the best energetic practice that exists is to sit in a state of no-thought and just be still without applying control. Let the energies do the work, no need to manipulate your experience to make the energies transform you into a God, the energies will flow naturally when you stop trying to control them and sit in stillness. #Raja yoga
  18. You are the absolute best. I had this last night when I went home and just sat to meditate without even placing a timer. Just sat there, still and just allowed everything, all effort disappeared as it was just being that was there, and effort is a layer on top created by the thinking. I felt an energy on the tip of my head. Just allowing the energies to flow and using Leo 's techniques on letting go to drop all resistance reach that state of merging with all of reality, rather than just a small entity inside a body, or the body. ? Leo and this forum are the best way to find Truth. Better than psychedelics!!
  19. its not only about retaining but you also have to do some energetic work / different types of yoga to help move the energies about, otherwise it will just go stagnant. I'm a newbie just started, but I can already see the positive effects and the difference when I relapse in energy level is significant.
