It's like tuning a guitar. Why tune a guitar? To hear nice music! If you love every last bit you are aware of in the now, there is no option but bliss. The trick is not to let the mind convince awareness with stories that what is right here right now is not loved. Awareness naturally merges with/loves everything, including that pain over there. Can we love the pain? Only if we remain as awareness! ? Separate from thought stories, Merge with Now, don't cheat on the now. Don't cheat on the now by believing the serpentine stories of mind. All is as it should be and que sera sera.

Let me show you why this is obviously not a good way to define truth: When the Earth was considered flat, someone could have had a theory that it is round. Does this mean that the Earth was not round before it became a fact and was just theory? No. Our map of reality and reality are two very different things. Our mapping of truth and truth. Perhaps the things we hold as 'facts' stand on shaky ground, because of an initial erroneous assumption. What then? Does Truth change or only our map of it?

Enlightenment is about finding your center, which doesn't exist. Everything else exists in that center, but it does not exist (stand out). Finding less than a needle in a haystack, it's experiential. It's about finding that the haystack is within the "less than a needle". Being aware of enlightenment starts dissolving the illusory from experience. No need to think about enlightenment objectively, as the result from enlightenment is not enlightenment. Speaking about enlightened person means to already overlook the center. The person is not at the center. The person is an appearance in the center also.

@Ether By the way, saying that something is just a theory doesn't say whether it is true or not. If you have faith in a Theory and there is practical method to check, you can follow it and see whether the theory points to something true or not. Saying it's not true before you've checked is just confining yourself in ego shell of a "know-it-all". You just dismiss it as false, whereas before you open the box, it can be both false or true. So you cannot be sure. Why then are you so sure and state "Nah"...? That is not logical on any level.

like Gravity

Jesus taught about going beyond the 5 senses. There was a vid I watched earlier that was pretty interesting. The 5 senses appear in something. Being aware of That should be your practice - and dying to That. Dying to the now. Perhaps the 5 senses is not the reality. Perhaps only the screen is real.

For me, Spirituality is about finding the ultimate Chakra (Energy center) - God. Spirituality is about 24/7 daily life meditation, remaining as the observer, remaining as the screen.

Ofcourse it's ok to say "I think X", I am not saying it's not ok. What I am suggesting is that you are giving wisdom that you are not following yourself. It has been said many times, Enlightenment doesn't come, it is here now. Yet you still doubt "it" will "come". What if this is the very fog preventing you from seeing? Future enlightenment is NOT enlightenment. There is only now.

Look at those two sentences again. You are telling someone that it's simple to not believe your thoughts, and the very next thing is believing your thought. Hehe! Not that easy then!

I have a rebuttal! There is no them! There is only reality. What is. The isness - ONE BEING. We are immortal, that's why we are Alive NOW. And always will be! Consciousness and the Unconscious are married. The Unconscious will always spring the conscious into existence, making it Eternal

Self enquiry (Neti Neti): I am not my state of consciousness

Let's not get conceptual. What I mean is Advaita is about understanding Yourself, not objective reality. Now we don't have evidence for an objective reality, but does no evidence mean it is not true? It only means we can never be certain. So why do we believe that knowing thyself means knowing the Truth (ultimate truth)?? Perhaps it's the only truth relevant, but when one respects truth for it's own sake, it doesnt matter whether it is relevant, helpful or not, etc... What if God (pure awareness) is also ignorant, because it doesn't acknowledge anything outside it (due to it's inability to) Perhaps the subjective truth is "Not Two", but the ultimate truth is "Not two and Not emptiness and not oneness" hahah, but that truth could never be verified in experience. We take that only experience is valid, which is cool for investigating the Self, but how are we sure we can even begin to investigate the Ultimate (Perhaps God has a shadow to work on accepting too but im way out of my league here even suggesting that - but who will tell the King that he's without clothes? ) @Toby was the Earth flat before people had any evidence that it was round? Evidence means nothing for the Truth. It means something only to us.

What I'm saying, perhaps there could be something OUTSIDE of awareness, something like a SUPERCOMPUTER which is not aware at all. I came to think of computers when I started contemplating Sophia and that she is operating but has no light of awareness. Of course she is probably just a parrot, but that doesn't mean there can't be something unexplainable and even unseeable.. And obviously that unseeable would not be possible to be proven by experience. But it doesn't mean it's not there! Just because we don't see something doesn't mean it's not there! It means it can't be proven, but Truth doesn't need to be proven to be True Is it not true that we don't know what is outside of awareness? @Toby We sometimes pretend we know. This is just a reminder that we know nothing

The objective "subjective truth" may very well be Advaita - it is, but who says our experience (subjective) is the only Truth in existence? Furthermore, if there is no you, which is the very end-goal of Advaita, then your experience is in fact NOT a measure of Truth, because it is illusory

Watch it, I also cringed there a bit, but don't close your eyes and ears. Just because he has one thing "wrong" (but I don't know that, perhaps it's a deep seated belief being challenged) doesn't mean the rest is invalid. Furthermore, since pure consciousness is not something you have, how is it you're writing about it? I don't know why but this image says "God" to me. I kept on seeing it pop up in my awareness today and I have this deep sense that it is very familiar... Like I've seen it in another life or something and it left a huge impression for some reason
