I would guess we all would consider ourselves "non-dualists" or aspiring non-dualists. So the biggest problem we encounter on the path to achieving non duality is this evil demon called the "Ego". So it appears that the only thing that escapes nonduality is this Ego entity. Only in the presence of Ego can one be un-enlightened is what's said (in other words ofcourse). So what is this Ego entity? If it's real then non-duality is not true. If it's not real, then non-duality is already true before we started the search. So what is this 'shedding away of ego layers' people keep talking about. After all in true nonduality, there should not be a difference between Ego and no Ego. That's like pointing at the naked king who thinks he has clothes on... This is so big that it means the following statement is absolutely true: If you are not enlightened now, nonduality is not a correct teaching because there exist an entity beyond non-duality. If you are enlightened, then there is no need for non duality teachings. What's up with that? Based on this, turns out that Neo-Advaita is the most plausible advaita of them all. It has been ridiculed on this forum.

In fact you could intuit that any high has it's opposite low. If you experience heaven you will experience hell. Kundalini is not enlightenment, at best it's a goodie for those with good karma or something. I intuit the very reason we speak about Ego so much in the spiritual path is for something like this happens - like Kundalini. You can become so egoic because of your powers that you won't even blink an eye. When you have power, that's when the true test is. You can say there's no ego all you want, but when power comes, that's when you show what you're made of.

Whenever I was close to an experience like this (dropping of self) after smoking the mild psychedelic called weed, there's something different than usual that happens. While usually I would see things in my mind's eye and say "not it", everything I saw I immediately noticed as me. And the things I saw were incredibly beautiful. I don't have a clue why this happens. I just automatically identified and got closer in this way to whatever I was seeing.

The thing is when I'm high on weed every time I feel like I have the Truth and nothing matters etc... Perhaps it's the nature of drugs, I mean they get you high... But problem is when they wear off. If this was a drug induced Truth, it will wear off obviously, but I don't think it was.

We are not the same body-mind. That's why I don't know your experience and you don't know my experience. If you truly are God as most claim to be, you should know my experience in this moment and what I'm thinking/feeling/seeing/sensing etcetera. DO you? No. So please stop dreaming. You're not God. For me that's simply a wrong statement not supported by reality. The reason why we know we can't do certain things is because we checked prior to having the "belief". Yeah wrong statements can exist too, but it's just like the rubbish on the streets. We're better of without them. I'm sure there have been plenty of crazies who thought they could fly and jumped to their death proving your idea wrong. I agree that we can imagine anything we like, but that's not the same as making it materialize in the waking state. In dream we have more power.

It's a simple question tho, does the witness see what the eyes see. Supposing there are eyes. The problem with state3 is that there is a duality between witness and body.

So the witness doesn't see what the eyes see?

In this state are you seeing the body from a third person point of view? Where is the witness located? By what mechanism is the witness connected to the body it is witnessing?
