Hi friends, I can't help but to wonder, how so many smart people here are near mental breakdown, when Trump gets mentioned or mere thought of him apears in your consiousness. I don't believe any of you claiming he's some big fascist mastermind who will corrupt everything and everyone, actually believe it, do ya? Do you actually believe that your country's system and institutions are so fragile? Do you actually believe the country like US would be gambled every 4 years? You really think rulling elite (definitely not the DC politicians) would just stand idle while the populus decides who's the ruller for next period… please. You must be crazy if you think some orange retard will be the end of US, makes me wonder who else here is retarded You do realise that he's just a backlash to the current system? How is more of "current system" (absolute establishment candidate with absolutelly zero personal perspective on governing) solve anything? Trump might serve like a pressure valve, if elected he actually could give americans few more years before an inevitable, real and COMPETENT fascist arrives. Wouldn't you agree that is the trajectory current establishment system is going? To simplify: If Kamala elected: Hitler in 5-10 years If Trump elected: Hitler in 10-15 years point of notice: I'm not a MAGAt nor do I think that Zion Don is some sort of savior of America or the world. He's just an old guy with a huge ego. And I do understand that he might usher some corrupt assholes along with him, but Washington has seen worse. I'm being a bit provocative here, so please calm your tits if you already started flapping them. Lets explore the topic from different than usual perspective.

I really hope Trump fades into obscurity, so nature can start healing. If nothing else, shutting Leo the fuck up is motivation enough to cast a vote for Kamala

I think we got him, guys, I think we got Trump this time

It's called denialism, and you’re being called to wallow in it for the next four years. With messages like these: If some of you really loved and valued democracy as much as you claim you do (you don't), you would have DEMANDED the Democratic Party give you a VIABLE candidate. You would have refused the options offered to you. But instead, you play along, as you always do, larping as deep thinkers and gaslighting everyone around you. You’re not that. Even Leo is an absolute nobody beyond the walls of this forum; no one gives a shit what he has to say, no matter how hard he tries to prop himself up (Trump levels of delusion). A year ago, I placed a bet with x20 odds that Newsom would be elected in the 2024 presidential election, because it was obvious to me- and to anyone at least trying to be honest with themselves- that there was NO WAY Biden could run again. What I didn’t foresee was how deeply entrenched Democratic supporters would be in their delusions and their blind loyalty. So here we are. Once again you're left with the choice of Douche and Turd Sandwich. -
It’s okayish- better than the usual Trump interviews. It felt more like a conversation, with the typical slip-ups of self-aggrandizement, but fewer this time. Far better than Kamala's word salad or her pre-programmed responses that often say nothing of substance or just state the obvious. It did make him seem a bit more humane, maybe? As I mentioned before, I’m not sure this will change any minds, but it might motivate some to hit the polls

The Nobel Committee just called- they want to know if you're available to accept the peace prize ASAP for your brilliant plan! Should I get them your contact info?

yeah no it seems there's a misunderstanding here, even though I'm trying my best to be precise. The point I'm making is that for many voters/supporters, the motivation to cast a vote for Trump comes from a desire to challenge the status quo, not necessarily a guaranteed belief that it will lead to improvement (spoiler: it probably won’t). Many of them are likely reacting out of frustration with a system they feel has failed them. It's that simple. It's less about the conviction that Trump will fix things and more about the impulse to lash out at what they see as an unresponsive establishment. The fear of making things worse is certainly valid, but it doesn't negate their feelings of disenfranchisement. And so it goes I actually chuckled, I really did -

I don't have anything else to add to what I just updated in my last message. Just a friendly reminder to take your meds. -

Don't mind if I take your invitation for the last word by simply reposting your message. You crafted this story for yourself, where you're fighting forces of evil and where you can be hero for once, even if it's in this hollow way on a forum, preaching to a choir. Last few months probably were more exciting for you than your last decade. Well the jig is up. Now run to the people you love the most and tell them what you really think about them, you Truth lover you -

Really? I'll leave it to the other members to decide for themselves "Your types" I meant people with apparent TDS and the way you frame the situation. I don't care if you're a leftist, and it's definitely not an insult where I'm from. Good for you! Nice job -

I started by replying to your message, but my response was also in line with my previous posts, as I was trying to make a broader statement (at least in my mind). Sorry for the confusion -

It was not directed at You personally, calm down -
Yes, it seems Americans have indeed stooped this low. It's a reflection of their frustrations and the choices they feel are available to them To add: the unwillingness of the establishment to take responsibility for what's been termed "Trumpism" will only lead to more excesses. Mark my words.

Trump has neither real policies nor the competence to implement them (even if he did have some), and he's far from a genuine conservative... so what's new? My response here is to the topic of this thread- he resonates with people who feel dismissed, unheard, and frustrated with the usual empty promises. If you're claiming that their grievances and sense of alienation aren't legitimate, you're sorely mistaken -

Ask a Trump voter, touch grass, and you'll find out -

I'm not saying that Trumpism embodies any universal values, nor did I ever imply that it does. If anything, it represents a backlash against the existing institutions or 'the system' and as some voters/supporters see it- a kind of last resort for people wanting to shake things up. That's not exactly the same as having universal values. At most, it reflects a tactical move rather than any deep, universal principles -

Thank you for your response, even though it's exactly the same every time. You've perfected your opinion on this matter down to a T. As per usual with your communication, there's an important emotional element at play (verging on hysteria sometimes), especially when discussing "Trumpism" and its perceived effects on social fabric and the values you think everyone should hold. Lets be real, the concept of a "chaos agent" doesn’t imply full moral endorsement, rather, it reflects an attempt by some to reshape or at least push against a system they view as inherently resistant to reform. This isn’t unique to Trump. Obama and Bernie also drew votes from those who felt disenfranchised. It's a valid sentiment, despite your judgments. I understand that a chaotic influence in leadership can be seen as a danger rather than a solution. But this phenomenon also reveals a significant disconnect and sense of alienation felt by a large portion of the American public, which is worth examining rather than dismissing outright, especially in the way that's common to your types. I’m not willing to say that 80+ million people voting for Trump are simply a low-consciousness, morally deficient bunch. Ironically, that's just as much a "one data point" judgment as what you call "bad thinking" You are so convinced of your position and denigrate others who "leave room" for other interpratations, that it's laughable if you knew how Reality works. Which you don't, despite your grandiose claims to the contrary. Honestly, if I were you, I wouldn’t bother responding, because it’s clear you’ll just rant the same way you’ve done for months. We get it. -

This is gold -
I don't think that this particular talk changed any minds; however, it might have assisted in mobilizing voters for sure. People might decide that it's better to choose a known "evil" rather than someone who is fundamentally hidden from them. Simple as

I would be willing to bet that at least some Trump voters (not necessarily supporters) see their vote as the only way to shake things up a bit. America has deep underlying problems that most Americans are unwilling to face, but everyone intuitively senses they're there. The only way they seem to cope with this is by entrenching in extreme infighting – it's the only way some feel they have power. From a European perspective, where multi-party systems are more common and there's a tradition of recognizing that different groups have different needs and interests, it's clear that the only way forward is to find common ground, not to ignore large swathes of the country or dismiss them as "low-consciousness" people. The way some people are talking here wouldn't fly in Europe – if for nothing else, just for the lack of tact, even if there's a hint of truth in what's being said. There's a lot of anger in these discussions, and it probably stems from failed personal relationships, psychological struggles, and the widespread use of SSRIs, all of which translate into aggressive attitudes. The self-righteousness and the assumption that only one "right" answer exists really limit the depth of the conversation here. And let's not forget there's at least some overlap between Trump, Obama, and Bernie voters. You can't say the same person is "high-consciousness" when they vote for Bernie and then "low-consciousness" when they vote for Trump. Some of you guys are so reductionist, seeing everything in black and white, right or wrong, high or low consciousness, conned or not conned. Can’t you see how shallow this interpretation of reality is? -
unhinged.

How do you know that? Bigger in what sense? If he couldn't pull it off while in power, what are the chances he could do it now? You used to be a voice of reason around here, what happened? Like month or two ago. This is alarmist bullshit and you know it.

You must be new here (don't mind my post number) -
I would guess the same. I watched her recent appearances, and they don’t serve her well. It seems that after every public appearance, the bookies decrease her chances by a couple of points. In my country, you can triple your money if you bet on Kamala. That’s rough.
