Yes, but I´m not a Leo Gurist. I´m more a Ken Wilber guy and he uses the word conformity in a different way± Leo Gura uses "conformity" broadly as lack of autonomous/original thinking — doing/thinking things just because the group does (applies to mainstream and counter-cultures, science, spirituality, etc.). It's about cognitive dependence vs. true insight. Ken Wilber (in Integral Theory/Spiral Dynamics) uses "conformist" more specifically for a developmental stage (Blue/Amber) — traditional rule-following, authority, and group morality that's necessary but limited. So that is why I was confused.

Ok I get it. I thought conformity was linked to conformity to values. But I guess this thread uses conformity more in a cognitive capacity sense.

Liking a movie or not is just personal taste. Although taste can be influenced by peer pressure (conformity) it depends on the psychology of the person if it is just personal taste or conformity. So it is silly to say liking this movie is conformity point blank. Conformity is related to a person’s culture and him wanting to fit in. So every value system structure has its own conformity and non conformity. So the key word is conformity to - value - of a culture.

For example back in the way being a hippie was non conformist while today it is conformist. That is what I mean. So it depends who you ask, in which country you are etc. Being hippie is non conformist in Saudi Arabia while it is conformist in the US for example. This is counts for all types of culture. Without exceptions.

You are making things much more difficult if you try to make your date your spiritual buddy or business partner or what ever. It adds unnecessary weight to the relationship. Her purpose is different. Your brain is infested with wrong programming. It will take years to untangle it if you will try this at your own with your development.

The word cult comes from culture. This forum has definitely a culture and freedom of speech is not part of that.

I just looked up the guy that was a major champion of psychedelics and look at his situation right now, posted 1 month ago. And this is his latest video: So sad. And somehow he thinks his house burning down is god's work. That is magical thinking 101. That is like one of the biggest trade marks of bad spirituality. Apparently he couldn't find a new home, because the video is still up so he is basically homeless right now with a bunch of kids.

There are not a lot of good examples of ethical use of psychedelics. I know some psychedelic champions on youtube and their lives all turned sour to say it politely. Just saying I said so is not enough. They have to become the living example like good leaders/parents/gurus should be.

Even when fully healthy it can be dangerous. Psychedelics are like an atom bomb for your mind. It can destroy the bad structures and rubble which is good but it always destroys some good structures too. I know some people who have gone on their psychedelic arch and they lost their sharpness, creativity and fire and turned into Frankenstein's reiterating their small minds/worlds.
