  1. As I watched, this guy came to mind. Remember him? @DizIzMikey Yes, I agree that we are all totally blessed. I also feel that each and everyday, we have the gift of adding something to our life purpose. It's our backup. It's a journey. Each step and each milestone we approach on it gives us a direction. The direction could even mean the type of job to find. If we just get any job when we are most needy in life, it might not work out, so life gets harder. So ask yourself today, "What do I love to do?" Then, take a baby step on it. Keep going. Something will surely be revealed.
  2. Mine is rather simple - to be more aware of my present moment. In other words, be aware of what I'm doing. If I want to write in my journal for 5 - 10 minutes per day, so be it. I'm not going to be strict on it, but flexible. At the end of the year, I'll have a 365 page book written. I'm just taking this as a metaphor. This metaphor goes for other things in life too. If you don't want to go for a page a day, don't. Just write a sentence. If you're in the mood or not busy, then go for more.
  3. A life purpose, just saying this, is very profound. It's not just a career. It's not just a startup with passive income. It effects all areas of one's life - how you relate to loved ones, how you relate to friends, how you relate to society, how to take it with you when you go travelling/immigration, how would you incorporate enlightenment experiences with it, how to have a profound mission and impact the world with it, and so on. It's profound, Leo. Flexibility and adjustment are required throughout life in a life purpose. It's lifelong. You are basically discovering yourself along the way throughout life and incorporating that into the life purpose as well as skills to market it and win eyeballs in your own unique ways and have a positive impact in the world. Consider this, right? Don't forget that it's the journey that counts. Each day, when you awake from your sleep, you have a chance to add a drop of something to your life purpose. ☺
  4. Another thread: Yes, I love drawing in general and reading the comics too, but haven't done both together yet. What a great idea to incorporate comics into life purpose if that's possible and what you want! Yes, comics is a great idea.
  5. I used to think that there was only "one" way of becoming "successful" in anything due to what others say. Well, not anymore. @Peace and Love Thank you for sharing. I would like to say something here. If one could realize that the past is already non-existent, it helps a great deal. The past only exist as lessons. The gift that we have is the present. We could write our story however we want, and it's the journey that counts.
  6. It would be great if the courses that you're taking and the day job that you're doing are matching your life purpose. If you haven't found your life purpose, try to match the courses and day job with your best/deepest interests. Interests are things you love to do. You are passionate about it so much that you try to find a way to put it in the market. If you can't exactly match them to your interests, find something similar. In the meantime, keep pursuing and trying to discover / uncover your life purpose. Don't give up on that.
  7. Hmm...Interesting Illuminati = enlightenment If you read Kiyosaki's book, Guide to Investing, he also uses the pyramid to describe a startup structure. Triangles are the strongest shape, and that's why the pyramids in Egypt are built to withstand the test of time. This is what Kiyosaki was referring to. Ralph Smart from Infinite Waters said that illuminati simply means enlightenment. Both pieces of info makes this interesting.
  8. Here's a simple little trick. For example, if you have to clean your entire room, you don't have to. Just clean a little corner of it. But..you have to get up and go do it-now. The same goes for everything else. If you can't finish your school project, and you have the entire month, just do a page or two of it today. But, you have to get up and go do it-now. Don't wait. The magic word is now. Of course, if you're motivated to do more, then go for it. ------------------------------------------------ Yes, take baby steps toward your life purpose while you're going. Even after you've found your life purpose and incorporated enlightenment experiences in it in some way, you still have to take baby steps to complete the entire journey. ------------------------------------------------
  9. You're welcome. Since you mentioned, "desire," "attachment," and "suffering," I thought I bring up the ego because the ego has a lot to do with one's emotions and telling the difference between those and one's true thoughts and nature. Here's another one of Leo's interesting clip that may help. I find this one creative: Here's a passage from Robin Sharma, the author of Who Will Cry When You Die: Be More Than Your Moods For much of my life, I believed my thoughts were beyond my control. They just entered my mind automatically and did whatever they wished to do. Even worse, I believed that I was my thoughts. Instead, we are thinkers of our thoughts. We are creators of the thoughts that flow through our minds and, given this fact, we can change our thoughts if we choose to do so. This seemingly obvious insight was an epiphany for me. I soon became far more aware of the thoughts I allowed into my mind and the inner dialogue that takes place within everyone of us every waking hour of every living day. I began to pay complete attention to the quality of my thoughts. This awareness was the first step to changing them. Over a matter of months, I trained my mind to focus only on positive, inspiring, and enlightening thoughts. And in doing so, I saw the outer circumstances of my life change. Just as you are not your thoughts, you are not your moods. You are the creator of the moods you experience, moods that you can change in a single instant. If you choose to do so, you can feel peace in a moment of stress, joy in a time of sadness and energy during a time of fatigue.
  10. I love beautiful poems too. (God = Infinite)
  11. Well, what I noticed is that there's certainly a little division among "average" ppl of different "religions." They hold certain values like, "this is the right path to God." They may view other ppl not in their "religion" as different, and assume that the others have very different values, which of course, could be totally wrong - dropping other ppl in the wrong category thinking they know them. Then, even gossiping about them. This is not just a "religion" thing. It also has to do with assuming things about others without properly knowing them.
