Assumptions. I'm not getting what you're saying. Friends are there to help motivate each other - sort of like life coaches - learn from each other - do cool stuff together. Nothing wrong with that. If you don't choose to have friends, it's your choice. I don't get where the 5meo is coming from - not related. -

I get your point. What I notice for the most part here in this forum on spirituality, is that if someone says something about spirituality other than "there is no you," they could get labelled as a "dualistic thinker," or something like that. It's difficult to share things other than saying that everything is one. We all pretty much know that already. I said in another thread that it does help to have a couple of good friends who are into spirituality and share things with them. Friends that resignates with you. If you meet them again, you could share stuff on Maslow or Spiral Dynamics, how you use those to improve, how spirituality interconnects with those and self-actualization / self-improvement, and so on. -
Well, I'm not assuming that. That's definitely not on my mind. I know anything can happen. It has no limits in what can happen. I'm also a person going through life, going through Maslow's and Spiral Dynamics. Here's something that helped me the most so far. Someone said this, "Life doesn't give you what you ask for. It gives you the people, places, and situations to develop what you ask for." I'm just trying my best to apply there is no you; there is no 'I' in everyday life. I am doing my life purpose for me, which is all. That's the best I could describe it. If I say more than this, I feel like I'm misunderstood. I'm not really getting the answers I'm looking for. Like, how to better my outlook. Well, it's ok. Yes, I practice a bunch of stuff everyday - too much to describe. In spirituality (in this forum), I can't really share stuff other than we are infinite and there is no you. We all pretty much know this already. One can get labelled as a "dualistic thinker." Another thing that helped a lot is, having a couple of very good friends. If I meet them again, I tell them what's new in my life and what has improved (including spirituality). I do this because it helps to bring something to the table. I could freely tell my progress to them, where I'm at, and they could give me an honest feedback. I even tell them about Maslow's, Spiral Dynamics, startups, and spiritually, and how they all apply together (interconnected), and they get inspired. And, as for psychedelics, they found it interesting.

Ok cool and very funny answer. Just be prepared for the Leo dude or anyone who is articulate. He will also say something like, "Once self-transendence / enlightenment experience happens to you, it could change the course of the other aspects of your life - like your life purpose, and it could also happen automatically or through meditation, etc. It will be more meaningful than just a joke. It's a huge wisdom." I'm just preparing you for it in case he comes by. -

I wonder if Leo is going to come over and call you "Zen devil" and argue that we still have our life purpose and self-actualization on Maslow to do. Enlightenment and it being a "joke" (whatever your opinion is) is only on top of the pyramid of Maslow's. You need your foundation first, blah blah blah... -
@Azrael I said "separate entities" in quotes. There is a difference saying it this way. The meaning changes. I also said "strange" in quotes.
-
Your answer here is cool. However, I think this is still a regular user. He's just a 'noob' who has to go back and practice on shrooms first or some lighter dose of psychedelics before moving onto 5meo.
-
Well, when we die, hopefully, we will become infinite. Like Leo said, "why not go for full Buddhahood?" But, I'm still wondering why do we have to experience another realm, like earth? Have you thought of it this way? (General question.) I know that we are infinite already. It's "strange" that we are "separate entities" when we wake up, yet we are also infinite. Epistemology.
-
Why do you think we even need to experience this "dream" we call earth? Why can't we all be "born" into infinite? And, what other dream? The "heaven" dream, the "hell" dream? Leo brought up the topic of epistemology in his blog and elsewhere, which I find interesting when applied here.

@AlwaysBeNice I really appreciate your answers and I read your answers again, and I am very much interested in finding out more info on this topic, but it looks like I have to research my info elsewhere. I am not talking about regular people taking 5meo or other psychedelics. I already know it doesn't cause mental illnesses for a regular user. I have nothing against psychedelics. What I'm talking about is whoever is at risk. I have worked with a schizophrenic patient. That's why I'm asking my questions in this manner. I have spoken to family members of the mentally ill. And, I've looked into autism and immune shots. I'm relating my questions to medicine / psychiatry. I'm just clarifying what I was referring to. Again, I'm not talking about a regular person. I'm currently thinking if I want to find out more info in this manner, the next step would be to actually go to professionals / doctors and get different opinions / outlooks on it.

@AlwaysBeNice Thank you for your response.

@Leo Gura Yes, you know that he was an early psychologist who related everything to sex. I'm searching for a real answer. I think it's better if serious questions are answered clearly and professionally and not turned into jokes. I think many others won't take it seriously if it's in jokes. The style in which I'm asking you pretty much relates to your most recent clip - How I Do Research, Big Picture Thinking. Remember, you did say to question everything in that clip.

What are the risks in taking 5-meo-dmt? This is a very deep/profound question. What do I mean by risks? This question is for anyone interested in taking 5-meo-dmt. What if a doctor is to answer this question? Here is an example involving risks to clarify what I mean by risks: Many of us have taken immune shots. The majority of us are totally fine with it. However, did you know that there is a minority of people who have taken immune shots, and it didn't work for them? Some children became autistic after taking them. I knew of a woman who took the measles / mumps / rubella shot, and she was scarred with measles marks all over her face and body for life. She seeked a homeopathic doctor for help, but that doctor wasn't able to help her. This is what I mean by risks. The doctor doesn't tell you in a very personal manner that you are at risk for immune shots. If he did, that must mean he's a very caring/rare type of doctor who payed a lot of attention to you. If we are one of those people at risk for immune shots, we wouldn't know - unless we did excessive research and knew ourselves very well. We would have to be our own doctor too. Doctors are not perfect. This also goes for psychedelics - to highly respect them like medicines. What are the risks for anyone (and everyone)? I have helped with a patient with severe schizophrenia. From that experience, I know that it's probably not a good idea to take psychedelics if you have a family history of mental illnesses since any stress in the environment could trigger the first psychosis. Even if you don't have a family history of mental illnesses, my guess is, there are risks in taking 5-meo-dmt. Psychedelics are very powerful. Another side to this is the spiritual side to it. Does it effect your karma? Does it make it better or worse since this is relating to spirituality? This is probably a very personal matter too. Are there any professional sites talking about all the risks? You sound like Sigmund Freud.

Shallow learning Focuses on unrelated details Information is simply memorized Facts and concepts accepted unreflectively Aims to pass (or perform) instead of understanding Leads to negative emotions and attitudes about learning and self Deep learning Focuses on entities and connections Relates previous and new knowledge Uses reflection to relate theory with experience Creates understanding, meaning, and new ideas Leads to positive emotions and attitudes about learning and self

"If you do not discover the lessons from a mistake, you will be met with that problem again and again until you get the message." "Make it happen. Shock everyone." "Your life does not get better by chance, it gets better by change."

I really like your wording here - how you put it. Did you ride the ox backwards? (You don't have to answer it - just a reference question.) -

You mean video game enlightenment. ??????? -
What do you miss about him? To me, he's very profound. He built this imaginary, profound staircase which takes you up all the way. You just have to climb it and watch your steps. Of course, you don't have to follow the staircases that he built. You could build your own. Or, if you already have a path, it became clearer.

We're all waiting for his inspiration, huh?
