  1. Oh, you started a fun little thread here. But, sorry, I didn't get a chance to read everyone's response. I highlighted what you said because it really reminded me of this quote: If you have a chance, just ask him out for coffee to have a little chat or lunch. Like, "Hey, I know of a good restaurant that we could try." Or, he could choose first. You sound like you have confidence - win or lose - it will always be win because you'll learn the lesson and move on.
  2. Leo's recent video was interesting. Spirituality is one of the hardest things to communicate to others, esp to the ones closest to us. Maybe perhaps they're not interested or they're not "wired" to be interested. Watching Ralph's clip also helped. He just says things in a different way. I'm just hoping that if I make it through my life purpose which will include non-duality / spirituality, at least the people closest to me will notice. Sometimes you cannot tell ppl; you have to show them (indirectly).
  3. You know, you wrote an awesome story. Did you notice, you didn't give up? That's an awesome quality! I would stop trying to be "Mr. Popular" and stop trying to "fit in." I was also "unpopular" (whatever that means) in my high school years, and I was kinda lost, but I never tried to "fit in." And so my life story is different. The more you try not fitting in and do the things you love, you will meet very few people, but your friends will be more and more authentic. You got to allow ppl to come and go in your life. Most ppl are only acquaintances; they come and go. That's the way it works. "Loneliness" is a man - made emotion. Be aware it's only a label of society. Try to know "you." If you discover the authentic "you," you'll be setting an example (but not for popularity).
  4. You're really bold. For me? Well, I like to strategize on how to prepare for emergencies / natural disasters as well as lifestyle minimization. I'm still trying to find the way through my life purpose. Looks like life purpose interconnects with everything else and you'll have a solid / stable path when you walk through it. You don't always have to be fully responsible and make decisions all the time. Your life purpose will be of major guidance and help you make / find decisions accordingly.
  5. On your next party or birthday party...
  6. @HikiNEET You need to have a good life purpose to make great YouTube clips. Here's an example: If you make lots of money making a cool clip like this: You may grow old one day viewing your same clip like this: Not just you but others too. (They are called 'shooting stars.') Classical music and certain artists are still visible and famous to the public. Some with no name / no face became famous later for their actions. However, right now we live in a time where there is a better chance to earn with a great life purpose.
  7. Hey folks, Thank you for the tips. I understand that ppl like Teal, Ralph, and Leo are similar because they are doing life coaching / self-actualization with spirituality. However, they are unique in their styles and even the topic. Just because they are doing the same topic, doesn't mean that they're coming up with the same things. We all will walk different paths, no matter what. I already have my life purpose. My life purpose led to my current job. That's where I'm at now. What I'm looking for now is a good technique book or info on how to build a good YouTube clip. Of course, I already played around with YouTube a little. I'm planning research more on this - using library, Amazon, YouTube, etc. But, if you know of good resources, much appreciated.
  8. @Spiral hmmm..A pig??? Ok.
  9. Ok. Awesome. What kind of lifestyle? May we know? For me, I'm still exploring. Looks like the lifestyle has to be close to a good hospital and schools if you have children. Also, it has to be a safe community with good security. Living with nature is awesome. __________________________________ Hey, they're called tiny houses. Cool. ?
  10. Yes, it works. It's simple. Sometimes I do this as a hobby. I heard from someone who had three small children that when her husband lost his job, it was a good way to save and budget during tough times. She doesn't need to go to the groceries so often and spend. She spent a lot less and saved time going to the groceries.
  11. @OnceMore The past and your age doesn't exist. It's all man-made, just like a laptop. These are only used as tools - guides, rough references. Start fresh from where you are now. Do things you love and experience them. If you don't like a part of it, it will guide you to the part that you like, and eventually the part that you love. Mistakes pave the way to a solid path that you love, and you will not have problems walking on it once it is solid.
  12. Couples staying together regardless of adversities...
  13. Of course, they are higher consciousness. But, not sure if they know and fully understand: "I am the love." And, detachment and all that. Ok. Sometimes, it doesn’t matter. Actions speak louder than words.
  14. I understand, but I wanted to hear comments and others making their own conclusions. Besides, not all couples who stay together like that are fully aware of the definition of love.
  15. @Visitor @Prabhaker Yes. I agree with your definitions. However, I wasn't really looking for the definitions. I was only trying to show couples who stay together during the hardest of times. That's why I changed the title of this thread. Maybe these couples understood the definition of love whether they're aware of it or not.
  16. Yes. Agreed. Great map toward self-actualization & enlightenment. (Great if coupled with Spiral Dynamics.) Bad map And... Quiz question: Most people go for the _________map.
  17. Some teachers may think you're skipping too many steps and feel you're going ahead of yourself. Sometimes, just joining a monestary, isn't for everyone.
  18. Hahaha! Lol...I hope not. After the massive light enters the body, it would be like *bling* and everyone turns into a horse. No one would pursue enlightenment.
  19. We came here to be extraordinarily. I can. I have. I will.
  20. Shin...It was more like this: He was excited because he saw nothingness and this: It's called Riding the Ox Backwards in Zen. (Well, the animation is supposed to be going backwards instead.) And, this massive light goes into the body with extreme bliss like this: It may have been different since it's done with 5meo. I dunno.
  21. Does anyone here include their pets along with their life purpose?
  22. No, I did not mean this as a joke. If you can include pets, why not? Currently, I work for a school and I have all the parents' numbers on my whatsapp. Some of my clips that I've sent them included me with my pigeon teaching the language. (I'm a bilingual teacher.) The students had fun watching that.
