  1. @Serotoninluv great. Then you could go and research that and do that, and maybe perhaps do that in your life purpose, if that's what you want to do. If not, that's your choice. The life of a human beings' ego is short. We're here to learn our lessons within our lifetimes and take action on them. This topic is very woo-woo in our present day society. I'm not sure if I want to pass the message on in a psychedelic way. In this life, an awakening and chasing the awakening isn't required. The point is to shift toward peace and raise the awareness of peace in society through our LP like a ripple effect.
  2. No I'm not. Don't assume. The correct response to my response would be: there can be physical changes to the external environment to a psychedelic trip of the no-self. However, so far, the answer is no. This may be the reason why "enlightened ppl" go against psychedelics. I think.
  3. @Serotoninluv there is already information on that. Ram Dass's guru had both.
  4. I'm interested in hearing a response from Leo. If not, that's ok too. No problem. I've always wondered why sometimes these 'enlightened masters' don't encourage the use of psychedelics. It's such a touchy subject, and it shouldn't be.
  5. Do you think that something that "powerful" (viewed from the ego's perspective) will not effect your "external" world at all physically, and there will be no changes or indications? Come on! Afterall, all is "you."
  6. Let's not judge or make projections. You don't know what I'm talking about. What you said has nothing to do with what I was referring to. It's just projections on your part. Be careful @Leo Gura ; if ppl can't even ask questions or bring something new to the table, then yes, actualized.org can turn into a cult. If you're concerned, well, here's the example. Look what actually happened here. It's not wrong to ask questions about things. I think this forum is great but still very difficult to ask questions and discuss about profound wisdom without being misunderstood.
  7. Keep in mind that I'm not arguing against you and 5meo. It's your choice. You could do whatever you want. At times, you seem like you're pushing it at everyone to try it without further questions. I'm just saying that there are changes in the matrix (maya) without the use of anything in relation to, you know, no-self/riding the ox backwards. It has nothing to do with how much DMT you have in your mind. How can it? It's in the environment. It's possible to have witnesses while you're having your "realistic" ah-ha moment. It's an obvious tangible change in the environment. It's just very much out of the ordinary and more convincing to me when these things happen. Using a tool (to me) isn't convincing. It seems like you're just inducing the answer, and nothing more than this. You even said in your earlier enlightenment clips somewhere to wait until it happens because it'll be more meaningful. Well, I understand that. I figured that you got this idea from a Zen Master, like Shinzen Young, or you might have read it somewhere.
  8. What about this, Leo? I'm going to be a little bold here saying this, ok? It's not the tool that's the actual Holy Grail, but the path. A tool is only the answer key. See, if you get the answer to a problem, it doesn't mean that you're completely convinced that it's the answer. It's the clues and the ah-ha moments along the way that will also be part of the big picture to the answer. And see, it's not possible for me to explain it here. This has to be done in my life purpose, and I got a long way to go. Will you please contemplate on what I'm trying to say?
  9. You're welcome. I question myself too. Are you doing a life purpose? It's much more effective to teach that way--through a LP. Think about it. To teach the deepest wisdom? Something that belongs on the tippy top of Maslow. Hmm...It deserves to be taught like this: This reminds me of another quote: "Come to me when you're ready. Find me when you're ready." What is the deepest wisdom, btw? If you really do know that, how are you going to say that? I mean, one of the ways a cult forms is the teacher doesn't really know the deepest wisdom and claims he knows, and enforce it ademently. Also, he may know the deepest wisdom but don't know how to teach it, it's enforced or coerced. It helps if your life path to the truth is meaningful. If you can't convince yourself in any way that what you became is the deepest truth, how is it that you could convince others? Others won't believe you. It's not an easy thing to teach.
  10. I keep saying from time to time that a life purpose (startup) + enlightenment is the best way to convey it, given that you're cunning and tactful in your approach. Not only that, you got to be open-minded in asking yourself, do I actually know the deepest truth, and then convey that in a cunning/tactful way. Only those who are ready to hear it will hear it. Truth is not taught; it's realized. Does a person actually realize that the truth is conveyed at the very top of Maslow's? At that point on the top? ^ If you want to convey it, then your life purpose has to be structured and communicated like a Maslow's. Then, it may be more convincing.
  11. @Charlotte if I may say something here... Goes in this pattern...no-self (nothingness) --> everythingness --> transformation (Shinzen Young called this part: Riding the Ox Backwards) --> love (realm) --> ego When it comes, you'll know. Until then, I would just continue working on something worthwhile to give to this world, such as a deep life purpose. Everything is interconnected and counts. Anything worth doing is like a meditation.
  12. Ok. For those of you who like to really pick on words, experience of the no-self = Truth. That's what I mean when I posted. Truth is not ego.
  13. @DarjeelingTea This topic keeps coming up here from time to time. It's a good topic, btw, and a very hard one to answer. Thanks for bringing it up. Remember this quote because it does cause radical open-mindedness: Two things to consider because it's been discussed many times and on Leo's videos. #1. 5meo can cause the experience of the no-self (nothingness) if done properly. This is the first argument. Work with mushrooms and other lighter psychedelics and work your way up to stronger doses before experimenting with 5meo. #2. Those who have not been the no-self (nothingness) will not understand what's it like to become the no-self without the psychedelics.
  14. To me, a life purpose isn't just for making money. Incorrect definition. It's not the same definition as a job or business. I said that I recommend that you get a job. It doesn't mean it's your life purpose.
  15. I'm saying that the definition of life purpose is different. You could work on it anytime, even by yourself. Yes, it is helpful for you to get a job now. I would highly recommend it. Then, you could save some money to purchase useful stuff to improve yourself. Research and spend the money wisely.
  16. Great topic. Great post. It makes me wonder: it's probably great to research on how to market on YouTube before actually going into it. It's probably a good idea to map out your LP first before jumping into it on YouTube. Observe what others are doing--the others who are doing a topic/LP similar to your own.
  17. Basically, in summary, from what I've learned so far, if you decide to incorporate non-duality in your life purpose in some way, if it is mentioned and taught in some way, it won't work out if you get the definition of non-duality wrong. It will eventually turn into a "cult." The way the information is presented has to be cunning and tactful because ppl understand it in different ways at different levels. The deepest levels of non-duality is never about superiority (grandiose). It's the complete opposite, and there's a lot more to it.
  18. Nope. That's not the definition of life purpose. Life purpose has a profound / unique definition that you need to discover for yourself later on. I really think you got to sit down for a while and listen to yourself. You already told us that you love teaching, and you love martial arts. Those are skills that you can use to get a job in, and eventually develop a life purpose later on. It's not just about making money. Do you want to make some money now to buy stuff that you need? Then, you need a job.
  19. In that case, are you ready to live in isolation all by yourself? In the forest? In a cave? In a log cabin? Why live with your parents if they don't owe you anything? Why do you even have a gf? She doesn't owe you anything. You don't owe her anything too. What are you going to do if you need health insurance? Be ready to grow your own food and have hunting skills. Leo has a documentary or two on his blog about this topic, I believe. @Hardkill I think you're lucky to have your parents help you throughout your life. I thought you're trying to get your life together. We were having a discussion here.
  20. Yes you can. Just start working in some job. If you like martial arts, find a job related to this. Ask yourself, "how can I get there?" Never say, "I can't." Whatever you think, comes true. The first step is, you might as well train your mind to find good solutions to any problems. You have time. Save up a little $ if you have to.
  21. @Hardkill I kept emphasizing on life purpose because it could be a vehicle to fully self-actualize yourself. It's inclusive of enlightenment and helps you discover and understand yourself, and also love yourself better. A relationship is not a vehicle! Be careful. It's not going to be easy if you don't know what kind of relationship you want. If this is the case, you probably need to work on yourself to discover yourself more.
  22. @Michael569 I understand what you're saying. I need to research more on this. I also think that the ppl I've mentioned didn't take care of their health properly. They were overweight / obese throughout their lives (except when they were in their 20s). The second person is from a traditional, stage blue family. She's expected to follow her husband, and so she does. She's trapped as a sheep and proud of it. (Housewife 24/7 requirement) Due to her mindset & her situation -- never exercised well or attempted to change her diet early on. It's also the lifestyle and what you eat that causes it. Horrible excuse she made in her 20s: I'm young so therefore I don't have to worry yet.
  23. Watch out especially when you're in your 30s and 40s. Get tested. Watch your weight and especially calories & carbs. Exercise and walk daily to keep that weight off. Once you get it, it never goes away. If not controlled, will lead to heart attacks, organ failures (ie. kidney failure), amputation of limbs due to gangrene, becoming blind, becoming deaf, etc. Feel free to share thoughts. Another interesting one, but doesn't quite match the first video because of the bananas... Cured? That's great, but I don't believe it's that easy. I heard from some sources that it can't be cured once you get it. If you're pre-diabetic, it could be prevented.
