  1. But, this topic is about animals. And, I don't sense that most ppl in this thread or this forum is that dogmatic that it lands in bullshit. They are also not satanic -- too extreme of assumptions.
  2. I do plan to visit a meditation teacher, like Shinzen Young, on a meditation retreat or someone like that. He seems very easy to talk to, and I would like to share my direct experience of non-duality with someone like him and see what other lessons do I have left to learn in life. However, this is only after I developed through my life purpose.
  3. Wipe out all the animals and we die out too--out of balance. Study biology and ecology.
  4. @Hellspeed what I said at the beginning was beyond logic. You assumed it wasn't. You didn't get it. Take care. That wasn't my opinion, and I'm not expecting you to learn.
  5. You're making assumptions that it's coming from whatever religion or a rational mind. Since when did I say I'm anti-life? I'm not anti-life, and I'm not going around telling ppl to be anti-life. You're just adding unwanted definitions to what I said and twisting the whole thing. I'm not interested in going into it more than what I said. If you don't get it, that's fine. _______ Here's another thing I noticed. If you want to learn something new or discover something new, learn to ask good questions instead of assuming what the other person is saying. Don't just assume where the other person is getting their resources. _______ Also, if you don't believe the other person, it's not their job to convince you. It's your job to take whatever information is presented and do further research, have a direct experience, and convince yourself. Otherwise, the discussion goes nowhere.
  6. Religion? Which religion did I refer to? I wasn't talking about religion. Where is the dictator? No dictators. Who is the loser? No losers. Nothing that you said here is referring to what I said. Non-duality doesn't have labels. You're just making up whatever I said.
  7. Enlightenment all by itself has nothing to do with being grandiose. It has nothing to do with being rich or famous or with what occupation a person did within the lifetime. Only an ego would think that. When a person becomes the no-self, no-self thinks nothing of itself. Only when the no-self transforms back to the human ego does it think that it has gained an awe-inspiring / grand experience. It's not. It's only wisdom that can be applied to this life. That's why when asked, "Can an animal be enlightened?" The answer may be: why not? It's probably not the same way as a human. Why is the human ego considered the best? The human ego is not a status symbol.
  8. You know where you want to go in life. When you do walk the walk, ppl start following your example and make it their own. You help others become strong in their own ways.
  9. Why should animals be enlightened the same way as humans?
  10. Ok, the OP video is interesting to me. So, I like to comment on it. I like the very first story of the video. It's simple--the couple has an on again and off again relationship for a long time--years, in fact, ok. Let me put the story in a different way. I want to tell it in a different way. Two ascetic monks live in a temple. One goes travelling for a decade to another country in order to learn something new so that he could apply it in real life. He comes back home to his temple to tell his fellow monk, and they both learn from this. Now, what does the story of the monks have anything to do with the OP couple story? Well, everything. Why? Because the monk's story could be applied to the couple's story. Any couple could also behave like those monks. Why not? Listen to it. A wife goes off for a decade into another country and comes back to tell her husband. It doesn't matter what kind of a relationship it is. It could be parents to child relationship. It could be between two friends, etc. When it comes to a couple's relationship, it has to be the most controversial or the most talked about / gossipped about topic--whether or not they should break up. Well, it's up to them. The secret to a successful relationship of any kind is detachment. And, to try to be the best version of yourself. You can't really make up your own definitions of what a relationship is. It's not based on society or someone's opinion.
  11. @Cortex I always thought that this crow shown in this video clip is unusual. It wasn't raised by humans. It made a decision unlike a "normal" crow. You got to ask yourself, "where did it get its wisdom?" Any wisdom is useless; unless it's put into action properly.
  12. This one might be going into yellow. It's getting complex:
  13. Would this be another inexpensive way to do meditation retreats? It's probably another option other than visiting 'enlightened masters' and signing up for a retreat in the US.
  14. Transformers more than meets the eye: I've seen better looking ones but not sure where it is online.
  15. What if...this ornament is hung on the rear view mirror of your Benz camper van? Would it look cute?
  16. The Housing Crisis (orange?) is pushing ppl to a green lifestyle. I wonder what if the majority picked a camper lifestyle? What will happen?
  17. Expensive areas causes... Cool ppl though. Mountain View is so tolerant. I know that life purpose is the solution to everything in your life falling into place. Just keep going on that. Invest wisely before investing in something like this: Looks awesome. It doesn't even look like a camper. It just looks like a van. Cost as much as an inexpensive house. B license, huh? Hmm...where do we go to be safe and hideout? Research. Must be great for meditation retreats. Oh..it is big for a woman. That's why it requires a class B license.
  18. One more thing, when I said "physical environment," I was referring to what's going on here on earth, maybe in your living room or wherever you are. If you're referring to some other realm, then you heard me wrong.
  19. As Leo said, truth is not a perspective. Truth is just truth. I could understand that. That's for me to decide whether or not to go for 5meo. As of now, I would rather go into details describing what happened to me in my life purpose. It will probably take a few pages. The series of events surrounding the kensho were very meaningful and convincing. If I never had it, I wouldn't be here in the forum. I'm not the kind of person who is easily convinced by someone else. There better be a good reason to go for something like this. Otherwise, just live the best life as you possibly can. Be helpful to others. Everything is "you" anyway. You don't want to see "you" suffering. There is no suffering when you experience truth. Apply that wisdom in real life. Maybe one day truth will come to you when you do this because what goes around comes around. It's more complicated than this.
  20. I never said that I was imagining anything. It was my direct experience. It was a kensho.
  21. Ok, then. Leo, @Leo Gura, in one of his blog clips, I believe, under the influence of 5meo, reported singularity. I could understand (from my own personal experience) that this is definitely part of truth--the singularity back to the embodiment of the ego. Metaphorically, it's called Riding the Ox Backwards according to the Ten Ox Herding Pics. Leo posted this animated pic once: If this is metaphoric of the singularity (aka, Riding the Ox Backwards) I could definitely relate to that. The thing that Leo did not report is any physical changes to the environment. Why am I saying this? It's to pass on some info to the OP, @Tony 845. That's all. Nothing more.
  22. Yeah. Ok. But you're labelling me as "misleading?" No need to label others. I said it straight-forward.
