I agree with what you said here. I just want to add something else to it. Even if a person experienced Truth with a capital T, the mind could still be attached to that for a while. The ego mind will initially think it's grandiose. It will probably be a while before the person comes up with a plan on how to express/teach the Truth in real life in his/her own way. Even then, the way to express it has to be well planned. Most ppl won't understand your work if it's not well thought out. -
I haven't gone through the whole thread, but my take on it is, make sure you prepare yourself before having them. They are 24/7 attention when they're born. Research. Also, good schools, good neighborhood, accept them for who they are and move on from there. Just wanted to share with you this very unusual clip of a cockatiel singing a lullaby to a baby: Cute, huh? Heavenly music.

Jay's Riding the Ox Backwards seems to be here, when he said @2:23, "we want to keep chasing love, but we don't actually want to fall into it." -

What Jay said here reminds me of what Shinzen Young said here. -
You don't know what I'm thinking, and you definitely don't know what you're talking about.
-
I wasn't the one who started the topic and posted the word "hot" along with it.
-
@How to be wise The point is, if 'there is no you' matters to you that much, why do you even mention "hot girls?" Why start off the thread like that?
-
That's exactly what you're doing here! You're applying illusion and don't realize it. Why does it even matter to you what others are doing behind closed doors? Go and write a book about 'there is no you,' or practice 'there is no you.'
-
@How to be wise Simply put: #1. You haven't experienced the wisdom. #2. You don't know how to apply the wisdom.
-
No kidding. Did you know that you will transform back into your illusional ego? I said it here already. So, instead of going around telling ppl to stop having relationships, which of course is a blindsided advice, learn how to express the deepest wisdom in a relationship. You will never be able to tell ppl how to live their lives.
-
That's good. But, I was referring to the OP topic. The majority of ppl anywhere don't choose to shake their ass.
-
Oh ok...I think he's not necessarily talking about changing partners. I think he is saying that anyone could also be hot, you know, be a 9 or a 10 gal, if they really wanted. Can you picture yourself being one of these gals? Of course you can. Just learn how to sing, stay sexy & fit, wear makeup, dress skimpy and sexy, learn to strip tease, etc. There is no need to go and have sex with some guy. Performance is different from having sex. However, do you want to do this as a living or life purpose? Probably not. It's only a stage orange. Besides, if you want to go deeper, you can't sing, "Don't you wish your gf was enlightened like me!" Btw, even this song goes a little deep. It's not all casual.
-
If you're talking about sex, that's up to the couple to have it or not and how frequently. It is not really anyone else's business to judge that. That's between the two ppl. Some couples need sex more frequently, some don't. Having sex is different from being "needy" toward sex. I'm talking about a long term relationship, not just going to bars and do pickup and having casual sex.

There it is! You said it correctly. From my experience, I could never take what's available as a guidance. What was available to me was always mediocre. I always had to go out there and search for a better answer. The answer didn't come to me right away. I had to always adjust. It's true in all aspects of life, not just relationships. That's why when she said @9:00 in the video, "Life does not give you what you ask for. It gives you the ppl, places, and situations to develop what you ask for," it made sense to me.

Even with reflection, both parties (egos) will have to learn to grow together and respect each other's boundaries. Otherwise, they will misguide each other. Giving each other space and respecting it is probably one of the most important, if not the most important. It's easier said than done. For instance, a couple had three kids. The mother is really focused on her work, and she doesn't really help in raising the children. The father fumbles in preparing the food for his children. He's not really good with that. One day, when the children grew up, she just leaves the relationship and complains that she had a hard time. At least the father was willing to stick it out and not quit. In another relationship, the parents thought they knew what's best for their child's career path. It turned out wrong. The cousin knew better. The cousin was more open-minded in knowing the child. I just highlighted three more important points from my experience.
-
You got to be careful on this one. It could be the incorrect guidance. It's not easy to guide when we're all very unique and if the relationship is very long term.

This woman learned the hard way: In the beginning, she didn't realize that when two ppl come together, what is actually going on is, two egos are coming together. That's why it usually doesn't work--two negatives don't make a positive. The thing to do is to focus on yourself because even if you're in a relationship, you're still single no matter what. There is only "you." Learn to respect other's space and don't overstep their boundaries. You can't develop the other person. You can only develop yourself. That's hard enough.

Oh, I hope you will! After such an experience, I forgot to say, you will feel blessed with love, only to realize that earth is the to love realm, and you will feel that it's your job to end suffering in some way. -

@KMB4222 you're welcome. Just wanted to put a little note here: -When you become Truth, you will not have a self at all. That's why they call it: no-self. You will not have an ego: no external environment and no embodiment. You will become fully conscious and aware of this. -Then, you will make a transformation into being everythingness. You will become fully conscious and aware of this. You will become the entire universe. -Then, you will make a transformation back into your ego. When you finally become your ego, this transformation will seem "massive," like the only black hole in the entire universe. You won't just see it. You will become this. You will realize why they call it en-light-ment. As an ego, initially, you will probably think that it's infinitely massive and have a great distance, but no, when you were actually making these transformations, you were just BEing, and there were no distances (and no time), just transformations. -

Have you noticed that the ppl who are famous and have experienced truth don't tell it to others directly? They tell it metaphorically. Even gurus who are not famous and actually live in caves, don't tell others directly. I think it's because they don't want others to be obsessed with it, and to continue to try to live a fulfilling life and to contribute to this world in a positive way. They don't want to ruin the process for anyone. Everyone is unique and will contribute to this world differently. It's because everything is you, and the truth is that no one likes suffering. (That's because when you experience truth there is no suffering--even though you're making a transformation back into your ego.) There you go. The statement in the () is part of truth. ? Also, the 10 Ox Herding Pics that was presented in one of Leo's clip points to the truth metaphorically. I like the 10 Ox Herding Pics told by Shinzen Young the best. -

I think these are great points that you said here. Truth isn't taught. It's realized. Two things: #1. I could go right ahead and tell you what truth is right now. #2. I could write it down somewhere in my life purpose in a cunning way, and the person could read it and remember it. Then, one day, if he/she experiences it, the person will have an ah-ha moment, and perhaps say to himself/herself, "So, that's what it is! ? Oh wow, I didn't know that!" Point #2 is better IMO because it's a process. It's not something that is told and the person believes in it. -

Ok, that's good. Nothing wrong with the present moment and this reality. Yes, it is peaceful when you stay present. If your viewers/followers/clients/customers or whoever wants to go deeper, this person will have to go to someone else. If you knew more about the deepest truth, you'll be able to better guide them. But, don't get me wrong. There is nothing wrong with what you said. -

You already answered your own question here. It's true from a logical standpoint, but it's not profound. However, are you going to include this in your life purpose along with your skills and along with being unique? It doesn't seem like your answer is worth it. Everyone knows the logical answer already. -
Key Elements replied to allislove's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@dimitri This topic is a very, very excellent question. If you could answer this question, it'll be worth it to include it in your life purpose. For example, something profound did happen to me early in my childhood. I wasn't even convinced that it meant anything at all. I just passed it off as a dream, until something else that was profound happened to me that was totally related to the first incident. In the entire process, I was working on myself. As of now, what I can say here is, continue working on yourself and use Spiral Dynamics as a guide in the process. Don't forget to include learning about entrepreneurship because you still have to deal with a stage orange society. -
Ok. Good for you then. Most ppl here are more interested in non-duality inclusive of Satan than a topic that excludes.
