Exactly! Looks like abstract texts are opened to more dogmatic interpretations. -

Yes, but no one bothers about it. They don't say extreme dogmas like, "you're going to hell if you don't believe in God." -

It looks like the 10 Ox Herding Pics story is uncorrupted. Unless a person has had a true Satori, he/she will not be bothered about the story and will not know what it is. That's why it remains unpopular, esp to the mainstream. When this story passes down through human history, it still remains at the top of the pyramid of Maslow's. Well Leo, you're right. This story is written so that it's not out in the open. -
He gives more information about the Satori, explaining not just the positive sides to it, but the downsides. If you get a career that you like, it's not likely that you'll be able to share it with others there. Who would be interested? It's probably not allowed. You are only there to do your job. It's a conflict of interest. It's more likely that you'll be able to share it through a life purpose if you get creative and cunning with it. Don't push it at others, but find a way to express it there so that it could be "planted as a seed" in ppl's minds.

Oh no, I hope that doesn't mean YouTube, as a company, has reached its limit in uploads.

Just wanted to add to what I said in this thread. Someone told me that 1 in 10 men in California, in the Bay Area, when they become parents, they decide to become homemakers. This does not prove that they're not masculine. I have met a couple in Mountain View, CA where the mom works as a professor at a prestigious university and the dad is a house husband, a stay-at-home-dad, to his 3-yr-old daughter. To me, they decided to be in this situation because his wife made more money than him. Daycare is expensive. It's because of their living circumstances that put them in this situation, not because he's not a man. Besides, the Bay Area in CA is one of the most expensive places in the world to live. You do whatever you can to survive. I do believe that the women who are happy with their work and fully supporting their families as a breadwinner have some idea of their life purpose, and also the men, of course, if they are in that situation. This couple's situation reminds me of this movie: (Just remember, movies exaggerate real life situations.) The man in the movie lost his job. So, his wife went back to work as a lawyer, and he decides to convert his house into a daycare with his friend (and their young children) and call it, "Daddy Daycare." What an adventure! In real life, I bet they'll run into legal issues if they're that careless.

You do whatever you can to provide to the best of your abilities regardless of your gender. Emphasizing on the distinctions and categorizations between men and women could lead to black and white thinking.

Yup. ?

I notice something here. Two words: paradox & patience. It's a balance between the two. When you say something, such as, for example, if you start a sentence off with, "Ppl who are married are___," be careful how you fill in the blank. It may sound like 'stereotyping.' There are always two sides to the same coin and paradoxes, and you don't know what's going on in others' personal lives. To find out the truth and make it work in your life takes patience. This goes for anything, not just relationships: "Ppl who live in ___ are ___." "Ppl who are enlightened are___." "Ppl who have children are ___." "Ppl who skip the university are ___." "Ppl who send their children to the university are ___." "Going from startup to entrepreneurship is___." There are better ways to fill in the blanks. Go closer to the truth; research and find out for real, rather than making it sound like 'stereotyping.'

I know which Oprah video you're talking about. This one: If you listen to the context of the video, it is not about Oprah. It is the same as the Leo's detachment video which I just posted. When the Rev said to "love yourself first," that's what it means.
-
You don't know how to make correlations at all. You are very unaware that Leo is always referring to the absolute (God) in anything, including any relationships. It doesn't even matter if it's a joke. He even made a video on relationships which relates to the absolute. He called it: detachment. Because if you become the absolute, it will be just you and you will be detached from yourself. He goes on to explain it in this video on how to apply this in real life.
-
Well, now you got an excellent Cosmo answer from Leo. He doesn't care whether or not you're a boy or girl.
-
I am. Stop assuming. You don't know other ppl. I hope you get a better job than just working for Uber. I know it's a struggle.
-
@SFRL i didn't say that. I wasn't talking about me, but you were talking about aurum and other mods and how this forum "should" run. Go and talk to Leo then; it's his forum, but then I'm sure he's reading all this already. I was only responding to your post.
-
@SFRL in other words, you're more into the news reporter than the actual news and what's really going on, and making projections.
-
@SFRL i never posted any Oprah videos. Which one? Just because she interviews someone, you just look at Oprah and not the other person. You're more interested in the news reporter, than what's actually being said, and twisting the whole story into something else.
-
@SFRL just because aurum was here, it doesn't mean that his advice was taken seriously. The advice is like listening to music--goes in one ear and out the other. It may sound good to the listener, but not applied. It's just like eating fast food and saying to yourself, "ok, one more burger and pizza won't hurt," and then you just unconsciously go out and eat more. When someone else presents new info, it's not questioned or thought about internally. Again, it goes in one ear and out the other. No thoughts of, "oh, how will I try to understand the other person?"

If you're in a dream, make it a great dream with the best of your abilities. You got the tools already to make this happen. One day, your real self may show you that this is a beautiful dream afterall to congratulate you on your efforts. Life is a school that you can graduate from.

I think blue could easily be manipulated by red because they still follow the herd blindly. I think for her healing process and ppl like her, it's a good idea to evolve out of blue. We have a natural tendency for evolution through SD. However, some of us try to convince ourselves to stay in the herd without looking into other groups or having an open mind on new ideas/info and approaching them carefully. This is not just for stage blue; it's for all stages.

Here's a simple exercise: Let's say this is the big picture. ? Well, what I do first is clean up only a small portion of my room. Let's say the bed first. And, then pick up everything from the floor using the bag. Then, the desk. Each could be done like this: day 1, day 2, day 3, etc. A life purpose could be done in steps too. First find out what skill is marketable, and do you like that skill? Do you enjoy doing it? -
@Nicachi you're doing wonderful work. I hope you and all the artists get to check out the art thread. Perhaps that may help trigger more ideas for you.

@d0ornokey yes, you can shift from S to I. My former boss/mentor did that. He worked for Oracle for 6 yrs; then built a school overseas. It took all of his savings. That was very hard work. It still is. At this point, to me it looks so much easier to shift from E to S to B, using the internet. (Sorry, he shifted from E to I. But, yes, you can shift from S to I.) To me, the problem with not following this diagram is that it's tough and doesn't have leverage. You have to do it all on your own labour. Sometimes, that's not possible.

Well, think about this. The way it works is, if you actually had enlightenment, you would better understand who has had it and who did not according to their work. Their work would be pointing to it. It's just like any other thing in life. You'll know who's an entrepreneur if you actually become one. Otherwise, no, you can't really tell. For example, can you explain why Oprah, Steve Jobs, and Colonel Sanders are entrepreneurs? Be very specific about it. Same goes for enlightenment. Be specific about it. -
...how to use your skills in different areas. esp., capitalism. Because, we live in a capitalistic society. Recommended book. Because that's how it works. It will give you more opportunities than just going for a job and working all your life. If you want to go green (lifestyle), this type of orange will be a backup for your health and well-being. Otherwise, it might be too big of a risk. If you're able to fit your skill(s) in these areas, you will be able to survive and eventually have financial freedom and free time.
-
@d0ornokey maybe it's too risky. I'm just going by what you're saying so far and what I know. A boss hires an employee so that the employee could do the job, not someone else. At this point in my life, I'm learning how money works. I do recommend how to shift from job to entrepreneurship. That's why I recommend this book. Don't believe in any hype or what anyone says. If they don't truly know or experienced with entrepreneurship, they don't know. Very few truly know what it is. You got to apply it in real life. It can't be just theory. Check this out: This is one of the diagrams in the book. Look where the arrows are pointing to. Currently, I'm trying to shift to an 'S' fully. I'm already an 'S,' but not fully. This is how money works and how you can achieve financial freedom.
