@Nahm all I'm saying is, if you want to talk about awakening to enlightenment, there has to be strong communication between two ppl. It's not about dismissing and criticisms. -

Ok, fine. I love music, so I will check it out, but not sure if it's gonna help me. I know I haven't walked my full path, and this journey is to be taken alone. Only you know exactly where you are at. -

Let me listen to the song carefully. It sounds nice so far. -

What do you mean? Not getting what you're saying. -

Well, for example, earlier in this thread, I was wondering if he knew what is Riding the Ox Backwards. He just dismissed it, and told me it isn't a test for enlightenment. Instead of just dismissing things, why not have a look into what others are saying about it. There was no communication. -

I'm looking at what you said here carefully. I think you did make an important point here. And, I just want to respond to it. Our job isn't to prove anything to anyone. My job in this life isn't to prove to you or anyone here that I'm a "selfless person." This isn't anyone's job. How can this be when no one exists, and we only exist in a "realm" (relative truth, whatever you call it). So, if we try to please others, it will become more selfish. Imo, our job in this life is found in this quote, "Aim for the moon. If you miss, you'll be among the stars." This quote can be taken in a shallow way--like get rich and just enjoy your material wealth. Or, it can be taken in a profound way. But, if you want the profound way, you have to figure out what it is for you. We all have different profound journeys in this life. -

Yes, and this is why I'm grateful for my life. I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to say to me, if you are trying to say something to me. If not, ok. That's fine too. -

You are aware that I'm talking about it in the relative sense, right? There is no such thing as talking about it in the absolute sense. Because if you do become the absolute, you are not going to see anyone. No pointers. No one. It's just you "pointing" to yourself, and you're totally detached. -

@zeroISinfinity I didn't say that wisdom requires you to be "Mr. or Ms. Perfect." -

@Mikael89 so, don't. No one is making you. You could call relative truth whatever you want. It's your choice. You could call it: fake, barbaric, cheap, chocolate, poop, etc. That doesn't mean it's an accurate pointer to the absolute. Btw, imo, using the word 'poop' and 'chocolate' are better words in pointing to the absolute than using the word 'fake.' Since when did the absolute become fake? At least poop and chocolate came from the absolute. -

I find this part to be very interesting and profound. Let me just add that when we (God) created this world/universe, we didn't do it through freewill. Had this been the case, this realm wouldn't have been to love realm; it would be to suffer realm (hell realm). Why? Because if the ego is given the power/authority of freewill, the ego-mind could imagine anything and do whatever it wants without restrictions. However, we're given choice. This life is based on the awakening. It's a reflection of it. If we live according to that, then that's the way to live life. But, first, we have to learn to tell the difference between an egoic life, and a life based on the awakening. -

...unless you become it for once in your life. -

I wouldn't call them fake. I would just call them relative truths derived from the absolute truth. I said something about it here. They are said for the guidance of the ego because when you become the absolute, you don't need to deal with the ego anymore. -

Bottom line: "Mine is right, and yours is not." You have to at least try to understand what the other person is saying. If a new piece of info is being presented to you, chances are, you don't understand it. It will just go in one ear and out the other--too profound to understand. The teacher is also the student. -
Ok... I think this song is orange but making a transition toward green. It's more meaningful than just making the audience focus in on its appearance.

Come on. Having a pet donkey is cute and easy. It's more like trying to invent a cute robot in which you will later want to marry. How likely is this--very unlikely. -

@Leo Guratell you something. Maybe, perhaps, life purpose has to be emphasized more. I mean, doing a profound life purpose, but, on the surface, ppl in general think it's just an ordinary business. Only those who progress will see (realize) the more profound stuff in your life purpose. Btw, when I thought of this, I did see ox's tail. Do this along with self-improving yourself and mindfulness meditation (of the formlessness, of course). -

I think what most ppl don't get is, during an awakening, for example, you literally become love. This is obvious to you when this happens. That's why they say that love is not an emotion. When you become love, teaching from here is different than teaching from only understanding love as an emotion. And, there's no distance between love and truth, although love came out of truth. The distance is only an illusion to the ego. -

You know what, you always use these kind of examples for the awakening. In another thread, you said something like "selling your own mom into slavery." Let me tell you something; the one who suffers or who will suffer tremendously in life will be the one who will experience a real awakening. And, it will correlate with his/her life. It's like experiencing the saying of Jesus at the end of your life, "Jesus, when you show me this map of my life, I see that you were always walking beside me. I see your footprints walking right next to mine. So, why is it that during the darkest hour of my life, I was walking alone?" And, Jesus replied, "You were not walking alone; that's when I carried you. Those footprints are not yours; they're mine." The "being carried by Jesus part" represents Riding the Ox Backwards. Initially, your ego will think that a huge force is taking you back to yourself with love. And, this takes place during the hardest, most adverse time in your life. When you reflect back to this moment in your life, you will probably get a profound solution to your problem. It's up to you to pursue it, and when you do, things in your life may fall into place. It makes the saying, "Aim for the moon. If you miss, you'll be among the stars," very profound and beautiful to the ego. -

Awakening to enlightenment isn't easy to teach. There will be disagreements once you say it. I kind of knew this would happen. I like how it's told in the Ten Ox Herding Pics. It's all metaphoric. You will understand it only if you had an awakening. When it comes to life purpose, just tell it as a cunning story, the way it happened step-by-step according to you. I plan to do this. It will reflect your life in a profound way. It does correlate with your life. It will "bless" you with answers. -
Why should you do this? What kind of metaphor is this? When you become Truth, there is no suffering. When you embody back to your ego, your mission in this realm is to love, and find a way to go about doing these things. This metaphor doesn't reflect Truth and Love.

Unless, you're "blessed," and the blessing is deserved. But, the journey continues. A boat gets crushed and swallowed by the Amazon. The ego doesn't fully understand what hit it.

Great point. And, the "power" doesn't come the way we expected.
