  1. Even if what you say is true, it does not mean that giving them hormones and transitioning is the answer. Edit: by doing a quick google search, i see that there are some studies that show the increase risk of suicide. Which is not the same as what you are claiming to be: that gender dysphoria is leading to many kids committing suicide. Your position actually cannot be serious by default, because here you are claiming my position is unscientific, while dismissing science as myth in other cases. And no, you are not avoiding self-deception by cherry picking science, you are just as prone to it as anyone else. I have seen it time and time again from you.
  2. @Something Funny What happened to your tolerance, compassion and being non-judgmental? You don't even know what JP went through over the last years, yet so quick to judge and to dismiss him. Funny how you expect others to have those traits and criticize them for it, yet yourself only have them for people/things that you like.
  3. Haha, no it's not different. You cherrypick science that confirms your own biases, just like everyone else does. And if these same studies were to show otherwise, you would be the first one to dismiss them. You might think that you are different (or special), but you are not in this regard. The reason why I mentioned driving, alcohol, nicotine, serving in the army, etc is not to equate them, but to point out the seriousness of the decision. And if you don't trust your child to be left alone with adult supervision, to drink, to drive, etc, how can you trust them to make a sane decision that will impact their entire life in the future? So far there has not been evidence to show that children as committing suicide in significant numbers due to gender dysphoria, so not sure where are you even getting this from. Perhaps you should consider the amount of kids that regret later in life that they transitioned? Accusing me of not being interested in the substance of the issue, just shows your attachment to this ideology that you hold and wanting to defend it. Cherry picking science and then telling me that my approach is not scientific is also beyond funny. Until you start being consistent and non-contradictory yourself, you are in no position to tell anyone else when it comes to being empirical or not.
  4. So when science does not support your biases, you dismiss it as myth, but when it does, you use it to support your position. How convenient? And no, choosing not to give hormones to kids has nothing to do with biases/prejudices about gender. The only bias/prejudice here would be against age, but we also have that when it comes to drinking, driving, smoking, etc.
  5. Exactly right, and that is the big problem. The fact that it is being promoted as normal, and you have other kids seeing/wanting to try it is fucked up. What people fail to understand, is that a lot of the people on the left (who are not woke) also heavily oppose this.
  6. US is a very strange place in that regard. Kids are not allowed to walk by themselves on the street to school (in Europe it's a normal thing to see) or be by themselves without adult supervision, yet they are allowed to take hormones and to transition!
  7. They are still given access to hormone pills much easier than they should be able to get. And as kids, I don't think they should be making such life changing decisions either. (drinking, driving and going to army, among other things is not allowed for example) A good compromise between left-woke and right would be to not give them any hormones period, and actually provide them therapy/support until they are of legal age to make that decision.
  8. I totally disagree that you can be fluent in such things as stage yellow, because it is too abstract, subjective, and also relative - in comparison to being fluent in language. And to understand and to relate to other modes of cognition requires a higher level of empathy, and total detachment from your own ideas/beliefs. It also helps to speak to different people with different perspectives, and to genuinely be interested in their perspectives, and fears. It's really not that complex, but as always, you are trying to over-intellectualize things
  9. Why are people allowed to drink, drive a car and go to the army only at a certain age? Do you really believe that kids should just so easily be able to transition at such a young age? And how do you not see that a portion of the kids who are confused, are not really trans, and just need some therapy for example? Until you start to understand these concerns, you will not get much support from ordinary folks for your cause. So start to understand, because as I see it, you make no effort to, but expect others to understand your position. The numbers have doubled from 2020 to 2021. And 40,000 kids is still a lot overall, compared to when there was practically no kids transitioning, period. The numbers are only growing, and it is a concern for many people.
  10. It's not that the puberty blockers are scary, it's the fact that they are kids and they are clearly not in position to make that decision that young. And the scariest part, is that they are even being encouraged to do so! Kids can be influenced in many different ways, and transitioning should be the last case scenario for them. Perhaps you can understand that many are outraged, not because they are transphobic (some are of course), but simply due to things like this.
  11. My bad. Never the less it's still an issue and trans women should not compete with women.
  12. I don't think you get it. You can be trans all you want, just don't promote this shit in schools, and have kids transition when they are 7 year old, have them take puberty blockers, etc. Leave the women sports and don't compete with them , because as a biological male you have a clear advantage (see boxing in France). People also don't want this shit promoted in olympics, song festivals (see euro vision), etc. This is what I mean by being "shoved down our throats", a lot of people who even support your cause have gotten tired of it. Understand?
  13. I am not an expert on spiral dynamics, but I can clearly see that yellow can see both perspectives of blue/orange, and also green, plus their limitations. You cannot tell me that every single person who belongs to yellow would actually side with green and some of the talking points that were pointed out here. Not to mention that not all green people would even be in agreement here. Please red again my exchange with LEO to understand the dangers of the "construction" narrative.
  14. It can be argued that yellow can easily be in agreement with blue/orange on this one (but for different reasons), given that it can see how impractical and counter-intuitive it would be to tell people that male/female is just a construct.
  15. Actually, he almost never shows empathy and his behavior/attitude actually shows totally otherwise. A person who displays so frequently so much arrogance/ego has a low amount of empathy to begin with.
  16. If this was true, there wouldn't be such a huge backlash. Pretending that this ideology is not being pushed downs people's throats is just plain dishonest. And again, you make it sound like only the people on the right have an issue with it, which cannot be further from the truth. There are many more than you think who are on the left, who do not agree with these woke ideas.
  17. Very well said, couldn't have said it any better!
  18. Your ideas are catered to a very niche audience, not to mention that you became even more niche over the last few years (many of us are not into your alien consciousness/solipsism). Your ideas will not be relatable to 99% of people, and you will sound like Nahm to them, so what are you really going to accomplish? Knowledge without wisdom is very dangerous, and you well know it. I don't think that pushing the narrative that male/female are just constructs to masses is a good idea, and it will not in any way improve the life for the majority.
  19. People who claim that it is just a construct lack wisdom, and responsibility when it comes to this matter imo. If what you call "male" and "female" are just constructs, then so is a "you", "mother", "father" , "friends", "family", and this entire thing that you call life/universe. How do you see the society functioning, and living in practical sense, if you would totally deconstruct everything? It may make sense to you to mentally theorize, mentally masturbate, and philosophize on these matters on a forum - but in real life this leads to a lot of problems, and ultimately to a huge dysfunction. @Leo Gura You gave shit to Nahm for being too "insane" in his rhetoric, of conflating absolute vs relative domains and how he even in your communication with you wrote that there is no "you". Now try to imagine how your rhetoric of it's just a construct, etc would sound like to many other people? Can you see some similarities in these scenarios?
  20. From where did you get how to count? From where did you learn what is water, what is air, what is a tree, etc?
  21. Why do you think that only conservatives disagree with this idea (or nonsense)? There are many of us who are liberals, but who are not woke, who think this is an issue of common sense. ignoring biology and the basic fundamentals, and unable to answer a question what is a woman, is just insane. If you want to identity yourself as a woman when you are not, that's cool. But don't expect others to accept your definition of what is a woman and treat you as a woman. And don't push this shit onto our kids. Instead of focusing on more important things, people are having trouble answering a question what is a woman? If you want to call it just a "construct", then why just stop there? Your whole life is a construct in that regard - but how is that going to do you or society any good in practical sense? I think what you fail to understand, is that your metaphysical contemplations are only good in theory, in practical sense they have no benefit and can be even dangerous.
  22. @Gidiot Based on what you posted here, it is clear that you have no idea what racism actually is. The deeper problem, is that you assume first that Trump is a racist in your mind and then try to find evidence to support your case. Don't be surprised when some people vote for Trump, just because they protest against people like you and their ideology.
  23. So you came up with your own definition of what is "racist" and you expect everyone to accept your definition? What you can see for your self is purely subjective and is also heavily influenced by ideas which were put to you by other people. The problem is that you are obsessed with race, and see race/racism issue in everything. This is the problem of the woke left that even many liberals (I consider myself one) are against. Dictionary definitions have actually a lot of worth, otherwise how can you expect to have a consensus? You actually have no idea what racism means and are throwing this term around very loosely. Thanks to people like you, the word loses it's power completely.
  24. I don't know this for sure, that was my guess as to what he meant. If it's backed up by data, I don't see how it can be racist? This happens in every country. Go to Spain for example and you will see that some type of jobs usually Asians take, some Indians take, etc. What does this have to do with being racist?
  25. There is no need to overcomplicate such simple and common sense things. If the sex is consensual and you are honest with your intentions, then it's all good. As long as you both feel good and are enjoying yourself, then there is no issue.
