This is going to be my diary. I love my runework and I thought I'd be welcome to share here because it saved me, and I have full faith in the runes to lead me forward.
Firstly, I am working on a few integral heritage projects: Jewelry, blacksmithing and brewing mead as well as experimenting with Maple syrup wines (vs Acerglyns) and agave wine, or basically unfiltered tequila.
Here I have my first project, a pair of combat boots. I come from a family of Doctors, Soldiers and Farmers, Mom's dad was a Paratrooper so I got the paracord laces. Mom was a surgeon so I sat down for 2 separate sessions of 7 hours total to stitch these laces with what's called Honkinshi thread, which is silk wrapped with 24k gold leaf. Each lace was a 7ft long surgical stitch. First sitting was 3 hours, second was 4 (more complications). They'll tear but over time I'll go back and stitch over, giving more character over time. I cut the paracord myself to make a statement about being a father, and prepare myself for where life really begins.
The tongues on the boots are a thicker couching thread, gold-stained silver leaf thread. I ran a surgical stitch with the thread and couched the excess thread to make a statement: Couching with surgical precision. Not only are these boots here to keep me stable, they're my confidence trick. Here's to spell thread being a pussy magnet. Honkinshi will bring honest people into my life, either real brotherhood or great women.
Also, they're burned with a woodburning tool, I will stitch over them with more Honkinshi, less burnt, but still with accents of burns, green and gold. I may also go in with some silver thread on the boots as well.
