  1. @Mikey I really implore you to ask yourself what is knowing something? You just claimed to know truth but a few posts ago said you weren't 100% sure you even knew what truth meant, you assume to know Leo's motivations but an assumption is all it is, I have no idea what Neti Neti method is, all we're doing is playing the intellectualising game, pitting words against one another, that's why people recommend meditation my friend, to explore your own experience to find what's real and not what's just knowledge! You'll never find what you're looking for listening to the words of others and forming your own opinion, you need to question YOUR reality, YOUR thoughts, YOUR experience, YOUR knowledge, NOT somebody elses.
  2. @Mikey I don't know! you see yourself as colours, you feel yourself with touch, your 'intelligent' mind is interpreting all your 5 senses into something that you consider knowledge, and that knowledge is filled with nothing but concepts and ideas that you hold as something that can ACTUALLY exist in independent objective reality. You can't EVER prove you exist, nobody can. I don't know anything true my friend, I told you I don't even know what truth is. Even all that crap I said is just knowledge passed down, I don't even believe in that.
  3. @Mikey What is talking? What you're doing is tapping your fingers on a screen or keyboard, using your sense of tactile interpretation, replying to pixels on a screen, what you're seeing is nothing but colours, you actually think you see the world and things directly?, even 'science' claims our vision is nothing more than millimetres of light being interpreted by our eyes, transferred into brain chemicals to produce the experience of seeing, the words you type are nothing but sounds mashed together and random lines that our vision makes into something coherent.
  4. @Mikey I do not know any truth my friend, I don't even know what truth is, it's just a word, do we mean what exists? What's real? What's tangible? What we see? Are we asking what's true about us? Do we exist? Is the person I think I am real? How can a thought be who I am, how can words and images in my head be anything more than words and images? Do I have a body? Am I experiencing the world? Do the people I see exist? What is it that I'm actually experiencing? Can I trust anything? What is trust? What is attachment? What's really happening here? I implore you to question EVERYTHING till you find someone that's fits the bill of what you're searching for, for what are you really looking for anyways?
  5. @Mikey Because people are gullible and ignorant. You speak your mind without hesitation and that trait can take you far. Have I experienced no ego? Who knows? not me.
  6. I implore anyone who reads this NOT to accept it on blind faith, remember words are mere symbols, nothing more, search within YOURSELF and find TRUTH within your EXPERIENCE.
  7. @How to be wise Second guessing yourself, is that a tip on How to be wise? Everything is a distraction from Truth, for what is a distraction really?
  8. I do not know what enlightenment is, I know the words of others and use it as a guide but I do not hold those as true. The ego as I see it is me, the words, images, sounds and feelings that appear within my experience creating a sense of this human being walking around in the world acting out on life, serving my own purpose for my own ends, yet if I take a close look at what I do, why I do it, how I do it, I slowly see the illusory nature by which individual thought can pin me down. I seek the Truth of reality for my own desires, and teachings, practices, wisdom and advice from others have occupied my mind, served its purpose, then left on its own accord, for it be but another weight. I don't have an explanation on what enlightenment is, for I have not directly experienced it, so how could I communicate it?
  9. It's fun to play with ideas, as what somebody would dream once self-realized? Who knows? Nothing of dire importance I'd assume. I'd just like to point out that your view on enlightenment and the ego are wrong, and you're not going to learn by me spewing words at you, nor do I have the will to, but there's hundreds of thousands of words on this forum to learn from if you're eager to do so.
  10. @Matthew Lamot Yes you are right, ultimately I know nothing, and I don't know or follow the 'correct non-dual teachings' I hope you can transform someone's life for the better with your words, because obviously that person won't be me ! Goodluck my friend
  11. Where have I shown to have no knowledge base to 'come at you' ? Do you assume I follow some kind of teaching? And if I did, no matter what it is, it's false nonsense? You assume I know 'crap' about being egotistical because I called your posts that? Or maybe I'm just ignorant ? Please, enlighten me.
  12. @Matthew Lamot I'm sorry but what????? You've just defended yourself, your beliefs, all that you've practiced, realised, experienced, heard, and know, like it means anything with this work I normally skim over your posts because I've noticed them to be completley egotistical in my short and unqualified appraisal, yet you need a little smack in the head to wake up. I don't know how to help you my friend except to say that, over this forum, you sound like you're looking in the wrong places for the wrong thing. Edit: This isn't an attack, and ultimatley I wish you the best, truly. But it can still surprise me how someone who claims so much wisdom falls short.
  13. Maybe I can help? I don't know. Try reading back your words, and going to the root meaning of every single one, and where in experience it derives from, then compare that to the message you're trying to get across.
  14. To accept your thoughts & desires is a step in becoming more aware of them, but do not judge them too much, labelling them 'good' or 'bad' - as it is part of your experience and ultimately is as should be. May I ask what you define as Shadow Work?
  15. @Electron The majority probably shoot for enlightenment on the promise of peaceful bliss, but I find the search for Truth to be more alluring. To find what's real. Question everything and you'll find your life is mostly led by illusions, without any great awakening needed, and those realisations can be more than enough motivation for our 'search'
  16. Can school teach you useful information? Yes! It can show you basic social hierarchy within peers, teachers, and standard power play. You can also learn of what other people spend time socialising about, talking about, is it even real? Useful? Entertaining? What can you learn off them? Also contemplating what this work will bring to you in the future, is there valuable resources that can aid and potentially push you forward? Yes? No? Why? What can you spend your time focusing on that will push you forward instead of thinking about grades and scores. I don't have much advice on which classes to take as their mainly personal preferences but don't think of school as just a place to work, you can learn so much from observing the behaviours of other people
  17. My mind generally lingers on ideas, exploring their depths and pulling them apart by the seams, feeling like I'm getting somewhere with all of this just to have myself yanked back to square one, quite often honestly, and I'm left in a jumble of confusion, sadness, understanding that what I thought I knew was just another story, but always (albeit reluctantly) acceptance that it must be. For what we 'seek' is but beyond our grasp, yet every step is one more foot down a hallway that never ends. If I may share my opinion, however quite crude, you seem to hold a highly intellectual grasp of the subjects we explore, able to logically use language to your advantage, yet seem deeply rooted in your past experiences, holding them like a crutch upon your authenticity. It sounds like you're developing for the better, as we must all let go of our ideas of 'what is' before we can truly see. But hey, I'm just speaking more stories
  18. Thoughts exist as they appear. That's it.
  19. It seems like you're using your memories to put yourself down, I personally think everyone is always developing, whether good or bad in their eyes who knows but every moment is a new moment of change. Also, if you were truly 'yellow' back then you wouldn't be questioning yourself now. Best Wishes
  20. You just want to avoid falling asleep, however you sit is fine.
  21. If you are feeling detached from the emotions that were once so strong, maybe realise that other emotions, like passion, hate, sadness, happiness, boredom, annoyed, disgusted, restless, hurt, abandoned, pain, abundant, balanced, grateful, strong, fulfilled ect.. They ultimately don't mean anything, and it's as easy for them to cease to exist as easy as it is to think a new though. Also distancing yourself from others is fine, just be VERY aware of why, because you might just be subconsciously making new walls and pushing everything deeper down.
  22. What do you seek by diving into all of these topics?
  23. Nothing is required What are you looking to get out of meditation if I may ask?
