  1. I was vegetarian for 4 months then vegan for another 6, then I stopped, and went back to eating animal products as if it were nothing. why? The last months of my vegan diet I slowly realised I was adding onto my identity as a "spiritual" person, thoughts appeared that it was better for me, I didn't support animal slaughter, I thought the transition of negative energy would effect my health, my ethics came into play, even social culture, morals, cause and effect, the future of this planet, ect.. were all my reasons But when I looked closely at each of my reasons, my emotional state, and what veganisim is as an idea, I realised quite simply they were grounded in nothing, and I was adding more layers to my identity then necessary, so I started acting on my more natural desires, you could say, trying to accept them while at the same time see them more clearly. In the end it was the right step for me in my journey. Now this isn't to disagree with you or turn anyone away from such a lifestyle choice, I implore anyone to question their own decisions for themselves, but thought I'd throw in my 2 cents
  2. More rather, an allowing ego.
  3. This is based on the premise of there being an external & internal experience, though if you look closely enough you can negate the claim of these seperate worlds for yourself. Maybe Tai (author of the video) should take up a course in Philosophy on top of his Marketing degree, might open up his mind a little
  4. It is just as valid to live anyway you want, doesn't matter if you want to slaughter millions of beings, plant trees for the rest of your life, or sit in a basement playing video games, it's all just as perfect a life as the next. The difference is living closer to "truth" what's actually, there, happening, appearing. Or living deeper in delusions. That's also just another projection of yourself, but if life is truly meaningless, doesn't that render "meanginless" an empty word?
  5. @Wormon Blatburm What is a belief? It's claiming that something is true, that something exists, Now 'when' 'enlightened' 'you' are merely a happening, and what is really going on within your experience is seen with clear eyes, so to speak. So 'we' can yes, allot meaning and acceptance to whatever thoughts arise within our experience while knowing their true nature, and use them to whatever advantage they have within thought, but how could 'one' who 'sees' 'their' experience Truly 'believe' what arises as thought? It's a contradiction, every word is, every letter deigns to split reality into something it isn't. So the 'law of attraction' is but another thought, and while all thoughts are True as they appear, what it entails is but a fallacy.
  6. @Wormon Blatburm What is a contradiction? There's no such thing as enlightenment, it's just an idea. Fun isn't it
  7. And that's just another belief. Take out you, take out after, take out enlightenment. Whats left?
  8. In my experience I find, to 'let go' is to 'let be' Also every problem is always YOUR problem! YOU need to take responsibility for your own unhappiness, not blaming others.
  9. 1. I think a lot
  10. You're still incorporating a "you" So "I'd" reflect on this day saying "I" was an "Advanced Joe" Another thought experiment What is "was" What is "an"
  11. Wisdom acts. Insight shows. Awareness is. But don't merely accept those answers, look and find them for yourself
  12. Define self actualisation for you first. For a homeless man in NYC it's the accomplishment of a warm bed and hot food For a child in poverty it's the ability to provide clean water and tomorrow's meal For a mother with 4 kids it's to support and provide till they become independent For a girl with big dreams it's flashing lights and magazine covers For some it's enlightenment For others it's suicide For many it's religion For you? Who knows
  13. Look and see; What is authentic? What is ideal? What is spontaneous?
  14. @philosogi I realised you're actually judging yourself, and that it's a reflection on you.
  15. When anything happens you will immediately judge it in relation to yourself. All manner of Thought appear, Memory Knowledge Emotion Colour Sound Symbols appear (sound;words, colour;image) Thought appear; relation appears; reality is split; duality is set. Appearance. happen. Realist is. you appear within Thought 'duality' is just the appearance of 'colour' & 'sound'
  16. 'love' is 'pleasure' They're both symbols for experience.
  17. Complete RADICAL ACCEPTANCE of each other and self of everything & all actions, behaviours, decisions, mistakes, desires, thoughts ect.. It can make your time together lot smoother
  18. @Light Lover I used to be an avid player of games years ago, so I'm curious, what benifits have you received from playing ? Cheers
  19. The experience of a toothbrush would happen freely, and love would happen freely. I implore you to ask yourself; what is attachment really? What is free really? What do you mean by those words & where does it incorporate itself within our experience
  20. @philosogi What would you say love is then? Scientifically its chemical release in the brain, mentally it's cherishing someone for either what they've done for you in your life or how they've acted to you & others within your experience. Our experience is nothing but ever changing moments, and our ego is attached to those experiences trying to make them into something solid (now we have an identity) either with desire or aversion, and what is true detachment from your ego but ultimate acceptance of what is, for what is should be, within its entirety.
  21. @rush Meditate, contemplate, question everything. Want a shortcut? Take drugs, alone & safe, be aware on them, apply your knowledge. p.s There's no such thing as a 'shortcut' for what do the words really mean anyways? Everything that happes should be, it's your ego that views it as 'cheating' or 'inauthentic'
  22. @Salaam To me, love is attachment, attachment is suffering. What we call 'unconditional love' isn't love at all, it's pure acceptance of what is.
  23. @Mikey I wish you all the best with your endeavours, you seem genuine in your questioning and again you speak your mind, this 'search' we find ourselves on is messy and complicated, simple to the point of being incomprehensible, paradoxical and contradictory, be open to your beliefs being ripped apart and new ones moulded at the same time, we are like seeds who need water and sun, but it will be us who sprouts, not the tools provided, I may not make sense but nothing ever does Warm Regards.
