  1. If one truly understands Gandhi's consciousness and his political acumen, tears will naturally flow down with what's possible for a human. unfortunately, we no longer understand such a high level of consciousness in politics.
  2. What makes you assume this position on Gandhi?
  3. Gandhi chose the path of truth at the risk of his own death, and he paid for it in the end. The situation at the time of Gandhi was much worse. We don't have public/politicians committed to higher truth.
  4. Whatever you are imagining also exists
  5. No Consciousness = Death, AND Deep Sleep (not =) Death, hence Deep Sleep (not =) No Consciousness
  6. Because when I wake up, I am aware that I slept for 6 hours and didn't die?
  7. Witness/Consciousness/Existence/Self/God
  8. Yes, there are no thoughts and attachments in deep sleep, but that doesn't mean there's no experience, it's the experience of absence/void.
  9. Self = Consciousness (The existence) self = ego/snake/doesn't exist); it only appears to exist as real.
  10. No, my friend, There's Consciousness (God/Supreme/Witness/Rope) and there's reflected consciousness (self/ego/snake), the one who is trying to get liberated. The reflected consciousness is the snake, which is not there at all, its only the rope all the time. the snake is only an appearance. its an illusion, after all. No amount of water in the mirage can quench your thirst because there was never any water.
  11. Try conscious breathing, my friend! Consider getting back to worldly things and relationships and working for a while, despite the pull.
  12. The self is an illusion and is one of the last and highest spiritual teachings (like non-duality). The ancient sages in India used to reject disciples (princes and kings at that time) and ask them to spend years purifying their minds through meditation, devotion, karma, etc. before they considered them ready for the last teachings.
  13. What would practically change about your life once you "see" the truth?
  14. It's all about the journey, my friend, always.
  15. Orwell calls this Doublethink.
  16. Here I see a contradiction. Can you feel love without the memory? Not getting entangled in your own or other's Karma and remaining detached is one way to attain enlightenment and freedom, but it is not the path to Love. Besides, Not getting entangled in others or more dangerously your karma is not an optimal way to live. It is like not taking accountability for your own actions.
  17. My Einstien mind has been thinking about this: We know of three states of consciousness that we all can directly access. 1. Waking State 2. Dreaming State 3. Deep Sleep State When we die in our dreams, fall from a building, or someone choked or frightened, why do we come to a waking state rather than going to deep sleep? Does this indicate when and if we die in the waking state, we naturally go to a lower state of consciousness (as per law)?
  18. @Yimpa Yes, every tradition has Trinity in one way or the other, there might be some truth to it.
  19. All religion teaches one thing - Modesty. Greed is one of the extremes on the scale of no desire to excessive desire. Without desire it's impossible to live and function in this world and with excessive desire anyone can easily manipulate you and you can forget spirituality in this life.
  20. Without external substance, these three states are accessible to every person.
  21. it seems You make a good point that when we don't die in the dream we continue sleeping and go to deep sleep. It seems that when we die in dreams we wake up to our current/waking reality, and when we wake up from the deep sleep, we also wake up to the current reality, and maybe it is an indication of the full circle that this current reality is both the lowest and highest at the same time, kind of non-dual awakening.
  22. I don't think anyone can really answer your question about reincarnation. Tbh, when I think about it, do we know if Anand Mayi Maa reincarnated despite being devoted to God her whole life? No. Do we know if Sadhguru's wife who willingly left her body, reincarnated or not? No. Do we know if Osho, who remembered all his past lives and spent all his life teaching spiritual stuff and getting into scams later, was incarnated or not? No. But, from my limited understanding, I can tell that, you will keep reincarnating until you have no desire left, worldly or other-worldly, even a desire for liberation is a desire.
