  1. I didn’t realize cool meant endless suffering and confusion with no answers in sight.
  2. What makes you so sure it’s true?
  3. I don’t agree that we should continue to uphold the rigid gender categories we have today. Sure, there are women who are capable of the same physical tasks as men, and I don’t want to downplay that. But my argument is that gender should not be the deciding factor in what people can or can’t do. It seems to me that we should be moving toward a system that evaluates individuals based on their actual abilities, rather than relying on outdated categories that no longer serve us in a modern, inclusive society.
  4. That’s an interesting analogy. Thank you for sharing that perspective
  5. What stood out most to me is what you said about fear creeping into spiritual communities. It’s so disappointing how quickly compassion and understanding can be replaced by judgment when fear takes over. I can imagine how painful it must have been to experience that so directly, especially from people you thought shared your values. I really appreciate your perspective on allowing people to grow and learn in their own time instead of forcing change. That kind of patience and acceptance is rare.
  6. Dreams have boundaries. You can’t fully control yourself, and you can’t choose when to end the dream or not.
  7. No one can truly know if something is created or not. Almost everyone on this forum believes their source is eternal, and I can’t entirely blame them because it seems that way after all the observations we’ve gone through. But people often forget that potential existence doesn’t mean actual existence. How can you know you weren’t just potential existence? You can’t. Potential existence means that the potential in all things has always been there, but hasn’t necessarily come into reality. This implies that you’re not eternal and that you were born. Non-existence doesn’t exist, and so people conclude that if non-existence doesn’t exist, then only existence must exist. And in a way, that’s true. But remember that potential isn’t reality, although it can become reality. So you’re not eternal and you’re not God. Even if everything ultimately comes from the same source, distinct things still exist. Potential and existence aren’t the same thing, though they’re closely connected. I just wish I could know if I am something potential or if I’ve always existed, but it seems more likely that I was once just potential.
  8. Something feels off about life, and I don’t believe there are other forces controlling us, but it just feels like existence has no logic. Because of that, everything seems as if we are being punished or messed with.
  9. I’m sad to hear that.
  10. You look amazing for someone over 40. I thought you were around my age.
  11. I have become aware that the ego dies when we dream, and apparently the soul, or whatever one might call it, leaves the body. And we all know that when we are not the ego, we are not limited, but dreams deny this.
  12. Because dreams are death.
  13. Why are there no differences from God’s perspective, for example, between me and a rat?
  14. I see what you’re saying, but I don’t think non-existence truly exists. When we sleep without dreaming, it’s not like we’re experiencing “nothing” in a real sense. It feels like a state where we’re unaware, but we still exist, even if we’re not conscious of it. It’s as if we’re always part of a larger flow of existence, even when we’re not awake or aware. Dreams, both good and bad, come from our minds and perceptions, which makes me think that light and darkness aren’t born from nothing, but rather from our consciousness and our experiences of the world.
  15. I find it hard to imagine something that truly doesn’t exist. For me, everything is some form of being in one way or another. Darkness isn’t “nothing,” it’s just another aspect of reality. We experience light through contrast, and that contrast wouldn’t be there if there were truly nothing. Maybe light and darkness aren’t opposites in the literal sense, but more like two sides of the same coin, both necessary for us to understand each other. Light may feel heavenly because we associate it with clarity and growth, but darkness has its place too. It’s where potential can grow and change.
  16. Fair enough, I get your point. It’s just that your observation came off a bit like a ‘spirituality police’ vibe, which is why I took it in that direction
  17. Ah, so you’re the one who’s figured out that 3/4ths of the forum is stuck in Non-Duality debates? Impressive. Maybe if you spent less time trying to be the ‘spirituality sheriff’ and more time actually engaging in the conversations, you’d realize that everyone’s journey is different. But hey, why practice what you preach when you can just sit on the sidelines and complain about how everyone else is doing it wrong, right?
  18. Imagine an artist who has an idea for a painting but no physical paint or material on a canvas. Through their will, the artist can “create” the painting, not by using something that already exists, but by materializing their idea on the canvas. Similarly, God can create everything, including the material world through divine will, without needing any pre-existing material. This perspective is quite intriguing, yet I remain unconvinced that true non-existence is feasible. I believe that consciousness holds the potential to create things that do not currently exist, and this potential has always been present. What are your thoughts on this? Can things truly arise from non-existence? Personally, I think the answer is no, but I would love to hear your insights. In this discussion, consider whether we are dealing with pure non-existence or simply potential existence.
  19. Thank you for this lengthy comment. There is a lot of wisdom in the text, and the open-minded thinking is definitely worth discussing further.
  20. You must be skeptical and ask yourself, ‘Have I been brainwashed?’ No one has truly learned anything about existence. All we know is that existence is eternal, and nothing more.
  21. You’re wrong, I am the body. You need to stop listening to people on YouTube, they’re really dangerous. I’m starting to get worried about you, and soon I’ll be calling your mom. You are the body right now, at least, so you need to learn to respect that and stop seeing it as an illusion. Illusions are real. They are the reality, not what’s outside, because the outside doesn’t exist.
  22. I am not separate from my tongue. As humans, we create separations to make things easier, but that doesn’t mean it’s right.
  23. It doesn’t matter, people reading this will understand that it implies separation. There’s no need to use a specific word to get the point across.
