When Leo says "evil doesn't exist" on his channel or in an interview we all cheer and praise Leo. When someone suggests it in the forum about certain topics everyone loses their minds. -
Yes, exactly relationships are about responsibility and realistic expectations more than anything. Realistic expectations seem low when it's compared to songs and movies. Op was expecting restaurants and Christmas markets to be fun but they are more of a responsibility and a minimum expectations than something euphoric (unlike how the media portraits things like that). Don't chase happiness, chase responsibility and minimum expectations from the other person and yourself (not too high) and bliss might follow as a result. Hope for the best but keep expectations low.

For both men and women, when your expectations (i.e. your hopes, neediness, demands from the other person) are lower you are more relaxed, less clingy, less desperate. From a relaxed state you make better choices and become a better partner in a relationship and thus you get a better relationship. Demanding the other person make you happy or demanding from yourself to make the other person happy leads to disaster. This applies to both men and women.

Relationships is a lot like money. Both are good to have but neither makes you as happy as you think it will. You need both to meet your basic needs but don't expect euphoria from either. Getting euphoria from money or relationships is a lie by clever marketers to sell products, and ideas, and clothes, movies, books, etc. Realizing this lowers your expectations for relationships and actually makes them better. In some sense the secret to happiness is low expectations.

If you aren't willing to put in the work then you won't get meaningful results. Reading is one of the accessable and cheapest ways to learn something but there are other ways too. People like Peter Ralston, Thich Nhat Hanh, Sadhguru were incredibly disciplined, studious, and hard working to achieve their apparent blissful states. We have to be also to achieve anything - both inwardly and outwardly - close to what they did. Otherwise it's great that you are meditating and just keep doing things that help you reach your goals. Many people overlook sleep diet and excersize.

The algorithm is radicalizing women too

Than what are you? -
This is correct. MOST actors deflect but not ALL. So asking people to take responsibility is somewhat effective. Men need to learn that being "bad" is low conscious behavior and women need to learn that being attracted to "bad boys" is also low conscious behavior. Slowly more and more people change but it might take hundreds of years.

Great post. Here's some more nuances: Men are socialized to work more hours outside the home and thus make more money. Women work more hours inside the home but don't get an official paycheck. Men are also more willing (or socialized to) take higher risk jobs, travel for work, compete for high paying jobs. Men get more money for this but they lose time (and influence) with their kids as a result. Not to mention more likely to die from stress and risk. Also statistics show women make most of the financial decisions in relationships, spend more money, and have more power when it comes to spending. Men are more willing to spend on women than vice versa. Putting it simply men earn slightly more money and women spend slightly more money on average. These discrepancies should also be addressed if we are to completely level the playing field by equalizing earnings.

Literal Shots fired at the WHCD and Trump is evacuated. Guess it will be rescheduled. -
Good call, psychedelics do potential harm along with any perceived benefits.

Easy: 1 ask their partner's name/hobbies/job? 2 Ask them what they are doing on the weekend. If the answer is nothing then there is a good chance they are single.

There's obviously a trick to it but he's very skilled at it. He uses suggestion and persuasion to get people to say what he wants. -

I hear you and you're right. We treat each other like crap even on this spiritual forum. Ironic that the topic is basically "should pedophiles have empathy?" Yet it seems we hardly have empathy for similar minded people here! I take it back your comments add value and thanks for your reply. -

You can leave too anytime if we are too low brow for you. It's not like your responses add that much value. I see you getting triggered at every comment you don't like and start hurling insults and swear words right off the bat without asking clarifying questions or showing you are contemplating the other persons perspective. Also if you disagree with a comment a gentler and more respectful approach sways people to change in a much more productive and healthier way. -
Is this a good and maybe funny example of frame control? https://www.instagram.com/reel/DXZzYwTjY-U/?igsh=dGZmOTcxeXFhMjB2

The best way to look at the conflict is through a stage yellow lens I think. What if both Isreal and Palestine are right and both are wrong too? Choosing a side here is impossible and it is actually counterproductive. We have to be comfortable holding opposing views on our heads.

When you read an article on crypto replace the word crypto with money laundering and you'll see it still makes sense. Crypto is Pokemon cards for adults. This is a great interview on the topic

Thanks for saying that. Im interested in understanding all perspectives regarding any topic. You are a great moderator and you bring a lot of value to the forum. -
Trump is obviously trying to win Joe Rogan back as Joe has been very critical of Trump lately especially because of the Iran war.

Yes you could be right. The older generations were raised with fear, indtimidation, coldness, toughness, bluntness, and authoritarianism. This produces external results (resiliency, good behaviour, conformity, responsiblilty) but inwardly it's very damaging to happiness and spirituality and creativity. So these inwardly damaged parents decided not to subject their kids to similar fates and raised them in a much softer way. The law of unexpected consequences kicks in and you get some unexpected negative consequences. Also consider that adults have complained about the next generation for as long as history has been recorded and maybe even before that. There's records from ancient Greece of adults complaining that the youth is too relaxed, entitled, lazy, uses too much slang etc!

Amazing memoir on growing up in a brutal Mormon family in Idaho. The author tries to get an education (eventually earning a PhD) after growing up on a farm without a birth certificate or formal education till she was 17.
