  1. Yes agreed and will put! My first introduction to Spirituality was Tolle's book New Earth which is an accurate description of the Ego and all its vices and ways of working in Human Life, after reading that book I was able to recognize my ego and egoic ways and a changed happened, one that one cannot retreat from, so that was the start of it.. from chatgpt - " Yes — A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose by Eckhart Tolle is largely about the ego, though it goes beyond that. How the ego fits into A New Earth The central theme of the book is egoic consciousness and how it shapes human suffering—both individually and collectively. Tolle describes the ego as: Identification with thoughts, emotions, roles, possessions, and stories A false sense of self built on separation The root of fear, conflict, comparison, and dissatisfaction Much of the book explains: How the ego forms How it sustains itself How it shows up in everyday life (relationships, work, politics, identity, status) What makes A New Earth different from The Power of Now While The Power of Now focuses more on presence and awareness in the moment, A New Earth: Examines the ego in depth Explores collective ego (nations, religions, groups) Talks about humanity undergoing a shift in consciousness Frames ego-transcendence as essential for creating a “new earth” Core message in simple terms The ego is not “bad,” but unconscious Suffering comes from over-identifying with the ego Awareness of the ego weakens it A more peaceful world emerges as individuals disidentify from ego One-sentence summary 👉 Yes—A New Earth is fundamentally about recognizing, understanding, and transcending the ego as a step toward personal awakening and collective transformation. 2. @Yeah Yeah Sorry the hear about Your situation.. I had a short situation with depression and suicidal ideation back in 2019, it was due to compounded loss, I had a bunch of losses and it just hit me, I didn't want to live sometimes, depressed and not really Me... I took a leave from work, I maintained a routine, I worked out regularly, did my yoga practice (this is what really saved me I think) and went for frequent walks and had 2 counselling sessions a week, and family support(but this weaned as time went on).. A couple of times I called the hot line and went to the hospital...I was on SSri meds for depression and anxiety.. I eventually got out of it, when I decided to move to another city and essentially start over...Now I am perfectly fine emotionally, other than getting pissed off for a few seconds in traffic and the chaos of the city... My advice is this: get a routine, be as physically active as you can, practice Yoga and proper Breathing methods, learn to Accept What is, start small, accept small things and build this up to Accepting everything as it is.. And Practice Now Living, Presence, if You can get this to high degree no stress will happen for You.. Regarding what they say about death and afterlife, I've never died but they say how You are feeling at the moment of physical death is amplified in the afterlife, if Your in fear or suffering then that is what You feel essentially there, opposite is true too, so heaven and hell exist in experience while here embodied and there disembodied... I hope You get better soon:) Namaste!!! p.s. My nephew died by suicide in 2006, it devastated the family, its terrible for the ones left behind trust me, use that to motivate Yourself if You have to when in hard times, use whatever you need to use to get you thru to the next day!!
  3. Why so, why does BEING have to come and go? I've personally witnessed ppl being depressed 24/7, I had a short period of time experiencing this too, so if that possible, a sustained period of time of feeling depressed or anxious or angry (which is the case for many ppl today), then why can't BEINGNESS and a sense of Peace/Ease be a natural everyday experience? We are brainwashed into believing that emotional ups and downs are natural, this is not so, ppl live like that b/c they are living by accident, not consciously, but whatever You do unconsciously can be done consciously.. For me I want to feel Peace and Ease naturally everyday, if that is what I want as a Human I can live like that!
  4. Yes, we all need to learn some mental toughness, but again its not a solution and its not about what others think (that is ego coming up again).. What is the solution, why do You think Goggins does what he does? He does it because it gives him a sense of fulfillment, that is his way to feel fulfilled, for others growing flowers makes them feel fulfilled, this is individualized for sure.. But the core is everyone wants a sense of fulfillment, and if you rely on external situations to stimulate that fulfillment feeling then You will in the end suffer it, because You cannot do it 24/7, even ppl that all all the money in the world get used to it and want more, or to do more, so the basically quality of being Human is "I want to be More than what I am right now", this is desiring process.. But as Humans we can Consciously create our Inner Experience, not have to rely on external situations to be a certain way for us to feel alive and fulfilled, its just a matter of knowing How to do it and then doing it, and there are plenty of methods available for that! The Key in Life is first establish Your BEING, that is I am Peaceful and at Ease naturally, content in a way, then go out and perform Action and DO, and then HAVE and receive things in life...
  5. My Sisters 1st son died by Suicide in 2006, he was only 25yrs old, my sister found him, her 1st son, she called her other son over, they both saw him that way(he hung himself).. I was not living in the city when it happened, I came home for the funeral, my parents where devastated, the whole family was, my Mother was always saying 'Why Why" and everyone felt guilt for not doing something more to help him with his problems.. I moved back home to support my parents, it was a rough time for sure, my Sister was not in good shape for the next few years afterwards, but now things are better, Everyone still remembers and keeps my nephews spirit alive, we had dragon boat teams for 10 yrs in a row after his passing in his honor and other things, but it is a very devastating thing to go thru for sure... What I've learned since then is to never suffer another's suffering, have compassion for other suffering, do what You can to help them thru it, but don't suffer it, pain is there for sure, but don't hang on to the pain, as it will disempower You for the rest of your life.. My Sister started a Suicide Awareness Walk in the area she lives and other initiatives to lower the stigma towards depression and suicide awareness, she took what happened and used to empower herself and others around her, so proud of Her!!
  6. The First thing we need to do in life, and I think this should be taught in schools, is establish Your BEING, then You go out and perform action and DO then You HAVE.. BEING is just Your fine and intouch with Now Presence, Accepting of Now and Consciously Responding to Now, as Now is where life is, its not found in the past or future.. When BEING is established then Your Truly Free, to see things as they are (Clarity), that actually that person is YOU in another form, its just they have a different body and mind.. Agreed that all Experience only happens within YOU, and that You are creating it every moment, the question is are You Conscious of this process or Not!
  7. Yes, but strength in this context only goes so far, its a temporary strategy to deal with life, but definitely not a solution.. It like the Rocky philosophy of never giving up, always Moving Forward in Life, or Life will take You down and You'll never give up, that appeals to the masses and the masses are actually living it, but in the end its not a solution to Suffering, just a band aid which soon falls off and the scratch is still bleeding and very few know how to stop the bleeding!! Strong ego's are attracted to other strong ego's that are doing things they cannot do or are not doing right now.. That is a sign of where You are in life, if You like it keep on keeping on, if not change things, time will tell what was the best way to be!
  8. You wanna know why I sometimes argue spiritual concepts with ppl here, its not ego, its that You are Me, I am You.. That is why when I am out and about and see so much stupidity and corruption and craziness, it slightly makes me feel sad or pissed off because everyone is Me, I am Them, we are in this together, and we could do some much better, but we don't generally.. and then when the one that are trying to make things better are criticized it boggles my mind and at times makes me just want to go silent and forget others and do my own thing...
  9. The problem is people here and most everywhere cannot even agree on the definition of words, ppl are so exclusive and individualized that they change meanings of words to fit their ideological paradigm, which is an act of the Ego.. So I could give you a definition of Ego, a basic one, someone will come along soon and say that is not it, and we argue about it, this is egoic act for sure.. Ego is false self, a mask of sorts, its what we portray to the other ppl we interact with daily, friends, family, strangers we meet, and is full of the the belief's we have, the auto pilot mechanisms that are running in our heads every day, things of this nature. The masks makes us smile and reply politely too someone that is saying hi to us on the street when we feel like shit internally, or the opposite. Its a mask we wear, we just have to learn it is not what We are, and too take it off when its not needed..
  10. What about the 100th Monkey theory, where one person or Monkey comes up with something new and somehow that is picked up by other humans or monkeys at another location telepathically or otherwise but its impossible for them to be in communication with one another, what's up with this Theory?
  11. Here Jiang talks about Economic Anxiety and how it is Used to Control the masses.. I buy into this stuff because when I look around and see what is going on, we could do so much better but we are set in our ways, people are not capable really of seeing a society without Money, or Competition or Debt and Slavery to a job or career, only to end up dead broke or suffering thru it all! I've always understood it that there are groups of ppl that are really in control, setting up systems for all of to fall under and be trapped in, while these ppl in these groups are way above this and free to do what they please, which seems to be to accumulate more power, lower the population #'s, destroy the planet and other hideous acts... Not sure though of the way out of this trap other than personal Enlightenment and isolating one's self from General Society! Enjoy:)
  12. Once there is the ability to make choices, there is Will. Of course not all our choices are an example of free will, but they can be, that is the whole point, you can progress to it, but if I have to go to a certain place my will will direct me down a predetermined path, but this is just reality.. Again Free Will is not about absolute control over everything, its about Me and My ability to determine How I am within Myself, that is totally an ability I can have, via that more choices become available to me, vs. not determining what my experience is and blowing in the wind. Having a Suffering mind will make You not want to get out of bed in the morning, having a Blissful Mind will make You want to get out of bed in the morning, I choose to be Blissful, life is much easier this way.. And Yes thank God that Breathing happens automatically, but I can control that too if I want to. You can even get to a point where Your completely conscious while in Deep Sleep, totally aware but fully asleep.. You need to expand Your horizons and not get caught up in the dogma of predetermination!!
  13. It seems there are those that follow the let what is be what it is on all levels of life, they think they have no choice in any matter, but do they choose what to wear or what to eat or how many breaths they take each min or what to look at/not look at? Choice is everywhere in our lives if you look at it...even the choice to believe there is no choice!! As soon as someone says there is no choices being made, and I say there is, right there is obvious proof that there is choice lol...
  14. Define God.,..If You say some oldman with a beard up in heaven, I'll find You and Aumm You to death:) Don't luv what is, just Accept it, unless Your being tortured, pretty well impossible to luv/accept that!
