Adam talking more about Mediation and what it means to Meditate...as well as being a Hermit and going at it alone or within a Sanga or Community.. Here he exposes the current state of the Human Condition, that most ppl cannot do things alone or be alone, He says that in prisons, ppl would rather be with other inmates and at risk of attack and/or injury death than be in solitary confinement, which I find is nuts, I'd rather be in solitary confinement than with other prisoners, but most ppl today are on the level of social influence and neediness, whereas in reality you are always alone, and individual in nature.. He talks about the difference btwn Loneliness and Solitude, which is basically a difference in emotional outlook and experience, very wise! -

I would say those things are of social concern and creating a "family" is a biological concern, its in our dna to procreate but that is on the bodily level of life, Spirituality is about realizing the non physical aspect of who you are, so it has nothing to do with either of those things, but one has to individually make a choice, if one has a family and worldly responsibilities then of course it would not be so good to just go off and live in a cave somewhere unannounced, but if single with less responsibilities its a more available choice... There are Ascetics sort of practices and way of doing things, and then there are householders ways of doing things where one continues to have family life while pursuing spirituality, in India they have a whole system set up for this, or at least they did back in the old days, where ppl made distinct choices at certain times in their life and didn't just drift thru it like ppl do today... -

I think it is good to do generally for a couple of weeks a year for the majority of People, some may need more and can handle it easier, some can't do even a few days and it doesn't work for them, but some isolation away from the rat race we call society is good for ppl, while doing some quality Sadhana as well! Only those that are meant for it can completely stay away from society and not go nuts, You really have to want it and feel that need inside Yourself to make it happen.. -
Sacred Pilgrimage to Kailash ! Journey to the Sacred: A Pilgrimage to Kailash with Sadhguru Isha Brahmachari Swami Kevala recounts his spiritually transformative journey on the 2021 Sacred Walks Kailash Darshan led by Sadhguru. He describes the challenges of articulating the profound internal shifts experienced during the pilgrimage, attended by a diverse group of participants from around the world. Swami Kevala shares his responsibilities, the rugged beauty of the Nepalese mountains, the deep connections formed among the group, and the powerful moments spent in Sadhguru's presence. Despite initial doubts about his readiness for the pilgrimage and whether he had fully received the Darshan of Kailash due to his focus on logistical tasks, a conversation with another Swami post-journey helps him appreciate the depth of his experience. Swami Kevala's narrative reflects on the essence of a pilgrimage as a journey from bondage to beyond, emphasizing the inevitability of spiritual realization and the unique opportunity presented by such sacred travels.

Is This Really Kaliyug ? Understanding Yugas: From Kali to Treta and the Concept of Ram Rajya Sadhguru addresses misconceptions about the Yugas, particularly the transition from Kali Yuga to Treta Yuga, and the relevance of striving for Ram Rajya—a just society. Sadhguru begins by correcting the mistaken belief that we are in Kali Yuga, highlighting that we are transitioning to Treta Yuga, a more auspicious time. The discussion includes how Krishna, at the end of the Kurukshetra war, spoke about the limitations of Kali Yuga and the focus on devotion to overcome them. Sadhguru explains the cosmic cycles and the calculation of Yugas, suggesting Kali Yuga has ended and emphasizing the current era's potential for spiritual understanding and societal advancement. Furthermore, Sadhguru delves into the concept of Ram Rajya, symbolizing the effort toward a fair rule as demonstrated by Lord Rama (Purushottama), emphasizing human capability and responsibility to strive for a better society, not necessarily achieving perfection but persistently striving toward it. Sadhguru insists on active human effort and potential in improving civilization.

I agree that ppl need to recognize wholeness and completion, no separate self and such, that is where the Guru's and others are of help in different ways.. The thing with Human Beings is that it is complex yet simple at the same time, from an Absolute perspective its seems simple, but from a Gross Perspective from the Ground looking up its more complex, and nuanced, this is the whole game of Karma, first ppl have to deal with their unconscious tendencies and conditioning, that is complex, at the same time they have to live their lives, make a living and raise families and such things, so the world right now is not set up for one to recognize oneness/completeness and such experiences of Absolute! So Guru's have to step by step bring one to more stability within themselves, first deal with everyday emotions, awareness of what is around them and within themselves, unconscious things becoming conscious, basic stuff, then they can go from there, its hard work for the Guru and frustrating I would imagine, that is why they are Blissful of their own nature, it makes it work better for them and others around them:) -

If the Guru is a true Guru, then for sure they are "Seeking" an Audience, that is the whole point, they want to help as many ppl as they can while here... The problem is we compare to what was done in the old days, and expect this generation of Guru's and such to function in the same manner, this applies to words and what was being said too, and the methods used as well, all of it can still work today as it did back then in the past, but ppl are wired a bit differently today than before, even within my life span things have changed allot, so the Guru has to adapt, play circus with ppl to get ppl just curious, and when those that are curios choose to seek and go forward in a committed way then the real stuff comes out, until then its jus circus, and circus is everywhere in this world today... -

These ideas and labels of Heaven and Hell are mostly man made, Humans suffer more than any other life form because we are complex and have a very Sophisticated Mechanism and Process going on within Us, that houses allot of Potentials, but we currently lack a high level of Consciousness/Awareness generally in the population to access this Potential within Us, only a small % do so, and when they talk about it they are ridiculed or isolated in the society in my experience... Everything is here already provided for Us and all Life to function at its highest level, that could be said to be a "Heaven" of sorts, its just our minds are wired in a certain way that making good use of all that is provided is not the case. But the Possibility is always there, I guess its a matter of evolution and accessing our Free Will and ability to Respond to what Life has offered us is the important aspect of all of this, if You access it then this is Heaven, if not then its a sort of Hell on various levels, which is what we have today in the world! -

How Did RAMANUJAN Predict BLACK HOLE 100 years Ago? - The Man Who Knew Infinity! Sadhguru has spoken about the famous mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan “The Man who knew Infinity” who had predicted black holes 100 years ago, he said his devi taught him everything. so how is it possible that a man without any formal education can do such complex mathematical calculations which are still not solved till date. Could a self taught mathematician, on his deathbed have knowingly laid the foundation of the universe’s greatest discoveries, black hole, 100s of years earlier even before it was a thing? Not only conceptualizing it but also the whole mathematical calculation on its existence But we all know spirituality is not connected to mathematics. Or it is! Is there something that we don't know of? Srinivasa Ramanujan is A true son of the universe whose work inspires mathematical research even decades after his death.

We are Born to be Seekers, most everything we do is about Seeking, Seeking to be More than what You are right now, Seeking Success, Money, Power, Spiritual Enlightenment, Knowing, not Knowing, its all there... Seeking is akin to Desire, if You have No Desire, there is no Life, when You read a post and want to answer and do answer, that is Desire in Action.. Only those that Experience absolute Oneness and Completeness have no Desire, and that is when Seeking stops, for most ppl that is when they disembody and no individuality remains, only higher ups, Guru's, Masters of all sorts can stay on with a body and function here on this plane! -

1) How are You/Us to determine who is a Messiah? What are the Qualities of a Messiah? 2) Who's to say a Messiah is not already here and functioning and Your Missing it? 3) With Deepfakes and AI coming online, how are You/We to determine if the information we are seeing that says a Messiah has arrived is Valid? 4) Why are You/We looking outside of ourselves for Answers? 5) What is the purpose of a Messiah, and how would they achieve their goal if Alive and Functioning in the world today? ..... -
Firstly All Your Experience happens within YOU, no where else, it is not found in any person, place or thing, or ideology. The only thing is, is Your Happiness Self Generated or Dependent on outside Stimuli, if it is the latter then Your a Slave to Outside situations and circumstances, things being a certain way, Possessions and Relationships being present and steady, if they are not then what? When You really Realize that Your Experience only Happens within YOU, then You start to find it, and explore how does this process work? When You discover how it works, then You can actually create what You want to happen within You, do You want Joy or Misery, Excitement or Boredom, its up to You what You want to Experience, but You can create what You want within You, its part of what it means to be a Human Being.. So First establish Your BEING, the above is what that is, creating Your Experience as You want it, then go out and DO action and HAVE what You want to Have in Life, most are doing it backwards, first DOING--->HAVING-->BEING, problem with this is that things don't always go as planned, they never do actually and ppl never get to the BEING part, so first establish BEING, when that is done, whether or not the DOING/HAVING part works out, your on stable ground and Life will not touch You in a significant way, Suffering is impossible in this situation!

@inFlow Don't let anyone dismay you or take away from Your experience, Experience is all You have, its not a dream or imaginary state, its as real for You as it is going to get, so keep up the practice, don't think about it too much, don't cling to it too much, Ego and Karma (residual effect of all action performed in past, body/mind/emotion/energy actions) is still in play, just keep on doing what Your doing, forget God, Non duality and such, enjoy the process. You know Your closer to Truth/Reality when You feel like You are feeling as a normal experience, keep it up!! -

Isha Foundation has something called Sadhanapada, its more of a commitment than a 10 or 7 day retreat and its in India lol, but for those really seeking the "Spiritual Life" this is the more intense and comprehensive program I've seen, will post a link to it below... Isha also has an Ashram in Tennessee, they have all sorts of programs going on, I've been there and its really a special place for seekers.. Why a "technique", well if one is not already Meditative in their everyday experience they may need a method to help that along. When one says they don't need a method, then that may be true or untrue, its individual in nature, some are more naturally meditative in their nature, some are less, some can realize Absolute easy, some not so easy, that is why there are Guru's and so many methods, to meet the needs of the many and diversity of Humanity and their individual Karmic makeup. Doing Your "Own" thing, has it worked over the years, is there still suffering present in your life? If there is, then help is needed for sure and doing it on your own isn't working, its like reinventing the wheel and thinking you have done a great thing when the wheel has been around for 6,000 or so years lol! -

You are Born with Potential and Possibility! On the Physical and Mental level we all have different potentials and capabilities, but all of us can improve what we have in those areas, I can become more clear minded, better/efficient/effective thinker, more physically fit and flexible, strong and healthy, but not all us will be a Michael Jordon, or Bruce Lee... But even Michael did not do well in Baseball compared to the real pro's and Bruce was no so gracious and wise or able to control his emotions and fears, but they were perfect experts in their chosen field! On the Spiritual Level we are all the same, with same capability and potential, some will get it faster and easier than others (this is Karma in play), but all have the same ability to know Oneness and Completeness.. Most all of us have Desire, we want to be more than we were Yesterday, more Knowledge, more Experiences, More Expression, More Money/Power, More Fun and Love or whatever the Currency, so because of that, You are Spiritual in nature, whether You know of it or not.. The only way to get there in the beginning is too Seek! Be a Seeker on Knowing, not book knowledge, but experiential Knowing, that is the only way, books and videos and Guru's helps for sure, but once You know Experientially, then its there forever! There are a million ways to Seek, some thru Yoga, some thru Psychedelics, some thru the Absolute Knowing that Now is as it is because that is the way it is! Find Your way and You'll know, step by step, don't seek God, seek to know Yourself completely! -
Ishanga replied to emil1234's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@emil1234 People are using different definitions of words, which may be why there is some common disagreements around here. Consciousness can be defined in a couple of ways, your general Awareness, ability to Perceive via the 5 senses, that can be defined as Consciousness.. Consciousness can also mean the fundamental nature of Existence/Creation and what was there before Creation, Grand Intelligence/Brahman/Shiva(that which is not).. In Deep sleep, which is a state, compared to Waking, Dreaming, and Full Realization, one is not perceiving anything via the 5 senses, but everything is still on, everything is being recorded and stored, but in Your subjective experience nothing exists, everything is gone, until you wake up, so in the context, we don't exist in perception terms, subjectively of course, and everything is subjective, you cannot experience anything outside of Yourself... Consciousness on a Grand Scale is still going on, things are being done and undone and everything is Now, Past and Future all at once... -
This is not about Obsession with anyone, particularly Sadhguru, its about making Sense! He says it in the simplest of Terms, a child that knows basic language can understand it, that is all, I haven't seen anyone explain it simpler or with as much Clarity, that doesn't take away the need for others to share either, but somethings are as they are... What is Truth, what is Untruth, its the same with what is Reality and what is not Reality, both mean the same things... You can explain it forever and still not Understand it, so Explanations only go so far, but what is Your Experience of it? If Your intruth, as he says, You will be Joyful of Your own nature, that is Truth, because it makes so much sense, everything about You works better when in Joy, compared to being in Stress and Suffering, does anything work well when in Stress and Suffering, the proof in your own body and mind and experiences! Just Realization is all that is Needed!

Wow that is pretty low down the scale, I thought that the Samurai were a bit more spiritually inclined than most military ppl, that thru the mastery of their many skill sets they achieved spiritual awakenings of sorts, but for sure the way the show depicts it they are stuck in tribal wars and traps, war lords and such honor based systems which may be a bit egoic in nature, maybe they had to be to deal with their times and challenges... Good show though, very entertaining and intense!!

LOA comes from an Experience of Lack, which is common nowadays, we're very spoiled lol, we have more comforts and convenience than ever but want more, this is Desiring Process but only in physical/mental arena, you'll never satisfy that need in that arena, have to go beyond it and then one can be unbounded in their experience and no Lacking in anything... -

What most ppl think of a Devotee is one that see's other above themselves, better than and such, Sadhguru has said many times not to do this, don't look at him as above, or below, just see him as a tool to use for your own growth. The path of Devotion, which it seem you know little about, is about being Devoid of Self, Selflessness, and it is the fastest way to Realization, but most today cannot do it, they ask too many questions, and are addicited/Identified too strongly with Mind and Intellect...so other methods are needed.. Do some research!! P.S. if what You are saying is true then no need to read or listen to what You are saying as well, why would we, Sadhguru has much more credibility than You and your telling us not too listen to him, lol why listen to You then, what/where is your credibility??
