The Brain focuses Infinity or Potential into Human Form so that we can understand life somewhat, if that was not in place, we would be here and overwhelmed by the brilliance and beauty, Awesomeness of Existence (this would make is so You wouldn't care about Survival, hence we would not have lasted long as a species and not here on this forum participating), so we have this pre wired Brain that lessens that affect, but we can go back to that state via proper Sadhana so its more balanced, we can live our normal lives but at anytime go back to how Brilliant Existence Is and Experience it Completely! -

A saintly life for sure sounds nice! It means You are involved totally with life, but untouched by it, You don't form concrete opinions, you don't judge, You discern for sure, but judgement is less intense and concrete, you live simply, minimalistic. You bless those that come into Your life, whether a life time partner or friend or a moment to moment interaction, others come out of it Blessed and Empowered, You make the world a Better place. Not many Saints around that is for sure! -

The problem with Joe, and many others and the whole idea of podcasts with many many guest with varying opinions/ideologies stated, is that he doesn't know what to think, he's mostly completely indoctrinated in what is being told to him but since he has many guest with varying ideologies he doesn't know what is what, its confusion, and that is the case when You have so many varying opinions about what is what, in whatever aspect of society you are investigating, ppl will find what they identify with and then become blinded by anything else presented, this is not healthy or empowering. One needs to look at information from others Yes, but unless You are completely isolated, just look around where You live, that will tell You what is what in the world, I live in Toronto, Canada's biggest city, its a very diverse here, many ppl from many different cultures and ethnicities, its chaos here, ppl go to the mall when it is nice and sunny outside, and they stay away from the mall when it is raining outside, this is a simple example but shows where ppl are at, they don't know anything about what life is about or where to find it, their Awareness levels are very low.. Every major north/south, east/west street here is packed full daily most all day, ppl love to drive their cars on nice sunny days going to places that they think will make them happy, that is their mindset, I know because my job allows me to witness this daily... I give humanity 150yrs, maybe less before we go extinct,, Sadhguru will die a failure, a blissful failure for sure, but he's Blissful of his own nature so who cares eh.. That is why I keep to myself, don't make friends, stay in on weekends, work on my own Awareness and Inner Experiences of Life, don't care about what others think or really how they live, its sad in a way to witness what I witness daily but it doesn't affect me internally... -

Like I said he does not personally claim enlightenment, only that he knows the origin to the ultimate for a Human Being,, and he doesn't claim to make one enlightened or that is what he wants for ppl that do his methods or join his ashrams, he says he needs ppl to stay here on this earth to make it better, as the moment of Enlightenment and the moment of physical death is at the same moment, he only claims to allow You to have your Free Will back... -
Ishanga replied to Hojo's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
He hides it because those methods (not teachings) can be harmful to those using it without proper guidance, he give out basic stuff, non enlightenment stuff for free and a little fee (reasons for this shared before) because they help with maintaining and healthy lifestyle and Peaceful/Blissful experience, this is not enlightenment, Enlightenment means Your done for as an Individual.. My advice to You is to ignore Sadhguru, You have a blind spot concerning him for sure, just ignore him and move on... -

Incorrect, he is not looking for ppl to worship him, you actually think a person like him, with his intelligence and charisma is just look for ppl to bow down to him and that this turns him on after 30yrs of doing this? Come on Man, your just a disgruntled user and it shows, your main thing in life is this forum it seems which is super sad! There's video of him saying he doesn't care on a personal level what happens, he is just doing what needs to be done, while here with a body and mind to use. As well thousdands upon thousands of ppl visit his ashram in India daily, out of all that for sure there will be some that do not like it, that is just the way it is, to list it here and say "See he is a fraud" is nuts, its just bound to happen... What's happening here, with all the naysayers of Sadhguru just shows the crazy the is in in this world, the man is working himself to death to improve the situation here and ppl put him down for it, its just crazy, and its getting worse by the day... -
Ishanga replied to Hojo's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
He throws those types out of the ashrams, didn't you know?? -

Ishanga replied to Hojo's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
He can prove it, just watch the videos of his history, hear the stories of the other ppl involved over the years, what proof do you have, who would provide a testimony in your favor, and where is Your ashrams to visit, what temples have You built? Provide the proof then I will believe You. He already has! You sound either jealous or envious, more variations of Ego arising! -
Ishanga replied to Enigma777's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Fake spirituality is about the person doing the promoting, they promote more about themselves (pics, videos about how good or bad (drama) there life is, how good they are at doing yoga or breathing technique, etc) vs methods or teachings that can help whomever is using it or listening/reading. True Spirituality is about helping others rather than yourself, becoming a Devotee (devoid of self) to the process of this and sharing tried and tested methods for others to use that work, its more about the HOW rather than the Why but the Why's are explained (Why Suffering, Why am I here, Purpose, Karma etc) and used as a supplement but not the primary of the Authenticity of what it is... -

Just look at the simple level of what he is doing physically, he sleeps 4 hours a day, before his turned 60 it was 2hrs a day, he works 20 some hours each day, 7 days a week and has done so for over 30yrs, so what does all the say?? He for sure has access to something that most do not, and that is just the simple physicality of what he is doing, never mind everything else that is going on... here's his activity level for last year, which is probably a bit less that what he's been doing the last 29yrs! You and I, and 99.99999% of the ppl on this planet could not keep up with him today for a month or week! -
Ishanga replied to Mellowmarsh's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Infinity means the same as Possibility or Potential, its just these last words are more related to Manifestation and Action.. Human Beings are the most capable life forms when it comes to Possibility and Potential first via Experience and then via Expression, of course our bodies and minds are limited in many ways, but we are neither of these things, so once we realize this Experientially then things open up beyond the body and mind within Us, that are always there, always available to us but we don't realize due to Unconsciousness, and Karma ruling us rather that Us ruling it! So if Life exists, Death (Physical) has to exist, in an unmanifested realm, neither life or death exists because physicality doesn't exist, Physicality just means the same as Limitation or Boundaries, well in the unmanifested realms there is no boundaries or limitation so life or death is not present there, only here in the manifested, dual, karmic realm does Life or Death exist, and we play the game of it, so that Absolute.God/Brahman can know it self.. -
Ishanga replied to Calixtus's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Calixtus The first step or goal is to have Peacefulness as a natural experience, if that is not in place then forget anything else on the Spiritual scale, god realization, enlightenment or whatever, if Your not peaceful of Your own nature Your basically screwed and will suffer till Your physically dead only to do it all over again when You come back in a new body. So work on the basics, establish Your BEINGNESS, which means Your at Ease, at Peace, You naturally Accept what is, not as a concept or thought process, You Prioritize the NOW, use the past/memory to become Wise, not wounded, and plan/imagine for a future but are not trapped emotionally by it, You respond rather than react, responding is Consciousness in action, reacting is Compulsiveness in action, which is living by accident and not on purpose, establish these basic and things will start to happen in Your Life! -

Nice sharing! I think Isha as something set up at harvard to study the effect of Isha Yoga, so that is cool, he's allowing modern day science to find out why it works, and this has been done many times before, they studied Swami Rama years and years ago, he could control the temperature of different parts of his hand, so one side of his hand was different temp than the other side of his hand, and he stopped his heart for a time period, and did other things that science says is not possible, so slowly the west is learning, but we are slow learners for sure!! -
Ishanga replied to Hojo's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
As I explained before, he has to charge for it, firstly to pay for the facilities, the food, the travel to get to the venue and such expenses, second, know one today will give any value to attend his events if it is for free, that is the way it is today unfortunately.. As I said, all 3 events I attend, the fees for all of them combined where below $2000, which is crazy to think about when other self help or gurus charge over $5000 just for a one day event... Also, he doesn't "Make" ppl do anything, he just offers a method for the person to use so they have their Free Will/Ability to Respond back in their control, and from there they can do what they want to do with it, if they want to have Suffering Experiences go for it he says, if Bliss is what You want to that is fine to, that is up to the individual, not for him to decide.. -
Ishanga replied to Hojo's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Sadhguru is Anti Belief, whenever he shares things that are considered above the norm, he always prefaces it by saying don't believe what I am sharing with You, don't disbelieve it either, just look at and wonder why I am sharing it with You today, so he's anti belief, he just wants ppl to be open as much as they can and too explore a different way of living and to give it a chance, if it doesn't work then leave it behind, he's said this many many times... -

Ego front and center I see:) Its not about him "wanting" to be remembered, its about the legacy of the work, when You work on the physical level alone Your work will live on past Your death about 100yrs, on the Energetic level where he is working at its thousands of years, of Empowerment left for those the choose to walk this path.. Its not about worship either, I don't worship him, just totally respect what he has done and thankful that I discovered him and his methods! Just because I say what I say about his does not mean I worship him, that is YOU projecting, as many around here do quite often, which is strange for a Spiritual sharing space?? -
Ishanga replied to Hojo's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
The teachings, or rather "Sharings" (books, videos and such), are not what he is about, this is just the circus he has to play (his words) to get ppl interested in Yoga and what he has to offer. This is the problem when ppl are looking at him and Isha from afar, they make assumptions and then project it onto him, but most all of it is false.. I've been to 3 of his events with him being present (so I've spent about 12 days in the same room as him), its a totally different thing when that is the case, I observed him thoroughly, he's not what ppl think he is when his on his utube vids and such, completely more intense and alive when in person, its something one has experience, but that won't happen to an intense level via the books or videos, there is some transmission there but when in person its much stronger... -

The temples and Dylanalinga was manifested by him, and others, he almost died creating it lol... Your looking for proof via your eyes, you'll never find it, which is why You'll never go too far in Spirituality... Its obvious where You and many others are coming from, but none of You have the credibility to affect what he is doing, say what You want, he'll still keep on keeping on, and when we are all died and buried, forgotton after a generation or two, he won't be -

Another misnomer, how one Enlightened Guru handles things does not mean all should do the same, Your projecting Your needs on Sadhguru, why should he listen to You??? -
Ishanga replied to Hojo's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Yes, he says many ppl have come to the ashrams with mental illness, he puts them to work in the garden and allows them to go back to touching the earth, eating more naturally, working hard so they are too tired to be depressed or anxious, I think this is a good system...as well of course learning Yoga... -
Ishanga replied to Hojo's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I think this is a misnomer, You don't understand, as well as most around here, that what he is doing is using the tools that are available to him at the moment in time.. Before all this Yoga or Enlightenment came into his life, he was a business man, owning a construction business and farm and such things, then things happened and he dropped it all, he was already on his way to being a Millionaire many times over, but he dropped it when he had his Enlightenment experience, which was back in 1986 I believe, then things happened, he found out his past life history and why he was born and he built the temple, up until the early 2000's there was no advertising of any kind just word of mouth. His basic goal is for everyone to have their Free Will (what he calls Response Ability) back, so they can determine for themselves how they want to Experience life, not to make everyone Enlightened.. To facilitate that and for everyone to be Blissful, he built temples, set up Ashrams, travelled the world (working 20hrs a day, 7days a week for over 30yrs) to promote his Yoga methods and share some wisdom, too support all this business had to be established to make some $$ otherwise how would it work in this day and age and our economic system? He also supports many charitable activities, medical services, and other such things in India, prison programs there and here in North America, so money is needed to support this, and he uses Utube to help promote, he is NOT a Youtube Guru lol..! -

I watched it, he said that Compulsion is the fundamental reason why mental illness is rampant, we are the most compulsive society ever...I did not hear him say a silent mind is the solution! -
Ishanga replied to Hojo's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Yes the Dylanalinga, which almost killed him and a few others, its the main reason why he was here, he was supposed to leave the body (mahasamahdi) after its completion, but as an experiment he wanted to see if he could reconstruct his energy body with the help of others, so he did it...glad he did.. As to the stories of how this all started, his past lives and so forth, I pay less attention to that, all that matters is that his stuff works, and it does, how he promotes himself and Isha is up to him, not my concern not should it be! -
Ishanga replied to Hojo's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
In all my years of involvement and study of Sadhguru never has he said that his goal is too have ppl with silent minds or turning it off, in fact he has said the opposite of this.. What he says is not to identify with the Mind, not to believe it is You that is the Mind or the Thoughts or the Thinking patterns, and that creating a Space btwn what is You, and what is the Mind or Body is the basic practice. I'd like to ask anyone here, if Your goal was to bring Bliss as a natural Experience to everyone in this world, how would You go about it?? Sadhguru did not start to go public until after the early 2000's I believe, before that it was just word of mouth, today Billions are touched by the Isha Foundation, and why not, we need organizations like this to fix how fucked up this world is...
