Caves are good for a certain amount of time, isolation is good (ever try those isolation tanks where the salt water is body temp and your floating and its completely dark and sound proof? I have their cool for relaxation and re setting), but its not a total solution all the time for all ppl, it depends on the immediate needs of the person, some need it, some do not... I look at dealing with everyday situations and ppl as Spiritual Tests, they bring about experiences within You that bring attention to certain karmas and tendencies, if You observe them well You find out allot about Yourself and create a space btwn what is You and what is not You, that is the first step on this path.. -

You say this is just belief, then ask another question, is his answer also going to be just another belief?? It makes no sense communicating this way, all communications are a sharing of beliefs and experiences btwn ppl, lol, no one is asking anyone to believe or disbelieve, its all about understanding one another on a basic level... -

This sort of discussion has happened before on this forum, and is sometimes plagued by differing definitions of words... Consciousness has two Meanings, One Meaning is that Consciousness is akin the Brahman or Absolute, it is the very source of all Creation and Non Creation, what I call a Grand Intelligence and Awareness, its not localized or personified via any God... Then the 2nd meaning is how Aware are we in daily life (how Alert or Perceptive are we) and as well how Aware are we of this 1st sort of Consciousness or Brahaman/Absolute in our own lives and what role is plays in our lives and all living and non living things.. We sometimes are juxtaposing the meaning in our communication, using one definition when meaning the other and so forth which causes confusion to those reading... -

Yes its very nice, she's something else for sure...It takes hard work and skill to do that sort of dance, it reminds me of martial arts, certain arts have similar type movements as the way she is dancing, they say all martial arts trace back to India, since Bodhidarma travelled to China and from that Kung Fu was created which is also said to be the birth place of all martial arts, maybe India is for real... -

This is what I am talking about.. There is no "Benevolent Creator", there is no Creator that cares or doesn't care, at the core of Existence/Absolute there is no meaning, things just are...Meaning is further down the rope or layer, its on our level/realm, meaning is self created, and is important at this level of Existence, but there are levels.. Don't think there is something/someone somewhere caring about You or anything, that will lead You to insanity for sure... All You need to do is care less about the shit that is going on in the world, and be the best version of yourself, whatever that is and how You see it, I'm sure once You achieve that, your ideas about "Best version" will evolve...this is what it means to be Human and have Desire, once You get something you want more, and more and more, what You want is to be more than what You are right now, ultimately You want to be Boundless and Free, that sounds a bit like Absolute to me.. -

Sadhguru's Daughter is an Indian Dancer (Radhe Jaggi is a Bharatanatyam artiste (It is a classical dance form recognized by the Sangeet Natak Akademi, and expresses South Indian religious themes and spiritual ideas of Hinduism and Jainism.) based out of Chennai, India.) When Covid hit, Isha almost went bust, there were no programs going on and it was hard on the Foundation to raise funds to support the organization, there are some 4,000 full time volunteers at the Ashram in India that have to eat and such, plus the maintainence of the place, and the ashram in the USA and what is happening there, plus they do medical support for a ton of villages in South India and other programs that require money to support that effort, never mind the Spiritual programs and such... -

Your coming into all these questions You are asking with pre conceived notions of the qualities of Absolute/God or Creator, You will never come to any sort of soothing answers for Yourself with this sort of Mind You have.. Humans have the most choice out of all the life forms, we can "kill" only enough for us to survive, not like we are doing now when we kill for pleasure of sorts and all kinds of distortions, but we are not choose anything when we are unconscious of our true nature.. God/Absolute just set up the playing field, don't ask "Why" because no one knows Why it is like this, it just is, and it is not so cruel, it is the way of the strongest survives, if the weakest survived then all species would perish quickly, so its set up for the plants to be eaten by another creature and for that creature to be eaten by another and so on it goes.. Its Life sacrificing for other life to flourish, but most all other life does not have the choice capability that we have, we have it but are neglecting to use it, hence we have Humans living below Animal Nature which is Tragic on its own right... -

This is relatively easy to answer, but before I do that, realize we are using language and logic to discuss topics that are not logical or conceptual or make much sense, as soon as I describe it then it become that which it is not, so its a paradox in a way when using language and logic as we are doing here to talking about anti logical aspects of reality.. Where am I? I am Absolute, Absolute is everything, but I am just a bubble of Absolute in Embodied Individualized form, like an Ocean Drop, it came from the Ocean but now it is just a drop of it, but its a Hologram of the Ocean, its the same thing, but only a drop of it, in India they call this (what I/You/all of Us) Atman, or Soul, but not the same meaning as what most ppl think of the word Soul, there are no "Individual Souls", there is just One Big Soul, we just have a drop of it, Embodied within Us, its non physical of course, You can't find it in Your Body.. There are 5 sheaths covering this "Soul" that makes up basically what We all are, Human Beings, Food Sheath, Mental Sheath, Energy Sheath, Astral Sheath, Bliss Sheath, Karma is the Glue that binds it all together. We are none of this, we are the Soul, which is Absolute but its Individualized.. I think this happens so Absolute can Experience itself in Trillions of ways, its an Expression of the Potential and Possibility that is the essence of what Absolute Is! -

These sorts of Questions will only end up with more questions being asked as answers and philosophies come up with ppl replying and such, its a very basic question and it depends on many meanings of words and levels or layers to it as well.. The Fundamental of what we all are, all Life is Absolute, which is Indescribable, as soon as You Describe it you limit it and contain it and then that is not it.. We can use words to describe what it feels like to be intouch with it, and basic words to describe how grand it might be but in the end it just causes more questions to arise which stimulates the Intellect and Mind and then Your further away from Absolute Realization.. I like to say its a sort of Grand Intelligence, as someone posted in another Thread, the deeper You go into Physical Existence, the more complex it gets, and it breaks the laws of physics as we know it now, now if You look at this logically, how is this possible to come about on its own? I don't think something so complex (and we are just talking about the Physical Existence, nothing else) could just appear out of know where and organize itself, so what was there before the Big bang is/was a Grand sort of Intelligence, its non Discriminatory, but in an instant all laws of physics/physicality and such were created, and the possibility of Evolution was too, so Potential was build into the Creation coming from the Grand sort of Intelligence, and now we have Us and everything else on this planet and the Entire Universe too. We are Embodied Beings, that can Experience and Express and be Conscious of this Absolute, that is what sets us apart from every other life form, but we have to seek it, no other way for majority of Ppl! -
@Princess Arabia This is a good article that might logically explain where the "person", or essence of what You are Is.. I've mentioned already the 5 sheaths theory, the last sheath is the Bliss Body, this describes the feeling/experience one has when intouch with what is really You, some call it Soul or Atman, Atman is the same as Brahman, which is the Absolute in Sanskrit, we are embodied Atman, but we have forgotten our true nature and play this duality/unconsciousness game, I think this happen so that Absolute can experience itself, as in Absolute realm there is no duality, no experience, no expression just Potential and Possibility.. but anyways here is the article, it might clear up somethings.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kosha

Yes agreed, pain levels and such are relative and what makes ppl gain pleasure is different, but real Happiness is different from this, natural Happiness is just natural, its more intense and lasting... We all feel these things, that is not different, all ppl experience happiness, sadness, anger, joy, excitement and tons of other sorts of emotions and feelings, Bliss is not this either, its more deep and centered and just a Realization.. Someone torturing another is and getting off on it is not happiness, plus its deranged, we are not talking about the deranged but normal, avg everyday ppl that populate and make up the majority, not the extremes of everything. Ppl going thru ups and downs emotionally are not living life, Joy and bliss are the foundation for more of life to come into their experience, its not the goal but the path that allows more Potential to open up within them... I've had ups and downs, and I've seen tons of ppl that live this way, it sucks imo... -

I was watching some NDE video's recently, most all the ppl say they did not want to come back from what/where ever they were or what was happening in their Experience.. One guy with 4 kids whom he was very devoted too, said while he was having his NDE he didn't care about his 4 kids and wanted to stay in that experience of great Bliss, Love and Oneness... I think what happens here is all about Choice and Free Will combined with one's Consciousness/Awareness level, we are all capable of what the Great Sages/Mystics have Experienced, but we have Karma to deal with and Desire too, so in the end its up to each of Us to choose what to do and how to BE within themselves, this sets up the foundation for no more birth/death/rebirth cycles to continue and to get out of this place that is at times not so healthy or great! -
Ishanga replied to Princess Arabia's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Pain for them, as we normally view it, creates a pleasure for them, its sound paradoxial, but some like pain because the pleasure that comes after is more powerful, trust me no one actually wants true pain and suffering consciously.. For sure the Body functions and is much healthier via pleasure feeling and experiences, but it has to be a natural sort of thing, not a dopamine or eating bad food to have a moment of sensory pleasure, but true pleasure with is just being happy naturally, which most ppl have never experienced.. How can being Happy produce bad health or be bad for Us, that doesn't make any sense, compared to depression or anxiety that most ppl are experiencing today, fight/Flight conditions in the body causing constant stress responses are very unhealth for human beings.. -

I've contemplated on it, at times this Human existence gets old, like I've been thru so many times before, the game gets old, like I've been going to School for Millennia, at times its like I want to move on, which is I guess a part of the Desiring Process, to always want to expand and become Limitless and Boundless, Completely Free... I agree the Non Dual talks go nowhere, and become circular in nature, plus how to talk about Union or Non Duality/One, its untalkable imo, we cannot discuss such topics directly, only indirectly which causes ppl to develop ideologies and strong identifications with it... -

Good Post! Solipsism as You defined it simply Unprepared ppl having Grand Experiences and coming back from it and perceiving it via an Egoic Filter, "If all is One, and there is Just "ME", then only I/Me exists", the unprepared ppl meaning they have no Sadhana or training behind them to already have a Space Developed and Experience btwn What is them and what is not Them.. Of course Using words as we are here creates Division automatically just by the way language works, but most will get what I mean.. Experientially as I've said before, there is only You experiencing You, all the data the senses bring in are Experienced within You, so You've never Experienced anything outside of You really, but that is only on the Experiential level, the senses are still showing a tiny bit of the outside of You and its real, real as real gets, but again there are levels to Reality and this one we are in is the least Subtle...What is You is the Most Subtle... -

@Princess Arabia We chase Happiness because Fundamentally everything about us, our Bodies, Minds, Emotions and Energy functions better when in a Naturally Happier State, Suffering states do the opposite, they de optimize everything that we have to use while here... Believe it or not, but each decision You make is based on Happiness, or Pleasure seeking, the "Gaining Pleasure, Avoiding Pain" Equation is always running and always calculating to make sure Your Life is more Pleasurable than Painful, it doesn't always work or make sense but that is what is happening! Via a Naturally Happiness State through out the entire system, then a Human Being can be capable of reaching their Highest Potential, whatever that is, because choice and freedom are now available to You, that doesn't happen when your depressed, angry, anxious, bitter and so forth! -
I agree with Leo, the whole system is corrupt, he's got that absolutely correct. But his demonization of Trump is a bit overboard, he's on the edge of Hate I would say and if push comes to shove he would do drastic things to make changes, You can hear it in his tone and his recent behaviour, he's calling anyone that supports Trump dumb and stupid which they may or may not be, but they have the right to vote for whom they think is the best option.. Trump of course is Corrupt, but we all Are in various degrees, and that too is evident by the behaviour we all display here on the Forum, things get too heated when in reality nothing we say here matters and is forgotten in a week or two.. Leo is not Realized I would say, he's had great Realizations but its not an Everyday condition in his experience, most of Us are the same as well. He's still reactive to a high degree and has solid Conclusions developed about things that does not allow him to see the full Picture of Life and Reality.. The system is severely Broken People! No matter who does what, things remain the same, the Masses Suffer living Conditions that we could fix in a short amount of time, no solution they offer really helps in the End because the basic fundamentals of this System don't allow it, it only allows a Few to Make it, the others pay the price for those Few to have what we all want to have, a basic life of Meaning and Well Being, because once that is set in place then Human Beings can really Live Up to their Potential and Possibility, that's not possible the way things are now, and no one person or party can change that unless drastic Changes take Place!

Realizations are needed up until the point when they are not Needed! Its like this with Everything, You use the tool then drop it when its not needed.. When one is not Realized, they need to Realize that everything is within Themselves, when that happens then no more Realizations need to happen. just like One can Use Suffering up until the point where the Suffering is gone and then its not needed anymore, so Use Everything as a path to Liberation from this Body, Mind, Emotional Complex we are sort of stuck in, when that happens nothing is needed anymore... -

Well Said.. Some ppl around here are like Monday Morning Quarter Backs, they think they know what is the right thing to do, or who is what to a very high degree of Certainty, which is a aspect of Over Confidence in one's self, which leads to Blindness... If all of You that think You know what is what, why are You not in Government or in leadership positions, maybe You are but I bet You are not... In the End we don't know what will happen, I'm not a Trump Supporter, I'm anti Establishment, I think the whole thing is corrupt, the system is broken its obvious as things are not getting better for the masses but worse, our economic system no longer works in this environment, nor does our education system or medical/health system, everything has to transform.. The only thing I do know is the Raising of Human Consciousness is the primary fix and cure for all of this... -

Not really a fan of Aubrey, was following him to research him years ago... I found the video of him to be good, he seems genuine for sure, his tone did seem a bit like a Religious figure, but I know he is not one.. I basically agree with what he had to say, we are very polarized and this is due to absorbing information from bias sources with agendas, and all the sources one can find are bias, doesn't matter where it comes from, so in the end one has to look at Trump, and then make Up your own mind of what he is about, as Aubrey said he is not perfect but I don't see how a man like him, with all his already established Wealth and Fame, is a super phony and into becoming President for his own super selfish reasons, its too much hassle too much work for him to do it, so he has to have other reasons for sure. but ppl are blinded by their programed prejudice from al the Bias sources, and are not making up their own minds... -

I think he is starting to really focus on the West, he's setting up another Ashram in Seatle or LA besides the one in Tennesse, and is building a Yogic City on the grounds of the Tennessee ashram, which I have been too.. He's Indian for sure, but he's brought up in Western Philosophy and Culture, he doesn't do that Indian Roll of the Head you see Indians do allot, so he's pretty Western in my book, rides motorcycles, flies helicopters, luvs speed, and such...I think he has a very big influence in the West already, he's bigger than Tony Robbins who's been at it for maybe just as long as Sadhguru has, so that says allot! -
Ishanga replied to Da77en's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Yes, this is where the work is, ppl like James123 and other of the same thinking don't get it, if one is suffering or artifically blinded why not teach them how not to suffer or how to take off the blindfold? Its that simple, but the way they think is that its okay to suffer or be blind when its not necessary, I'll never understand that.. On the Absolute level (from which they are talking from), yes everything is perfect, but we are not living in the realm, its only a possibility Experientially, and if one is not in the Experience there are reasons and blocks as to why, we can get rid of those blocks via Sadhana so they realize the Absolute while here and Embodied.. -
You've had some insight naturally that is good, and via a sharp intellect and curiosity that is Intense, but putting down Practices and such as You do, it is a shame since You have not really done it, if it wasn't for these practices I would not be the person I am today I know that 100%, these sorts of things have to be experienced, You haven't.. I had this arrogance within Me in my Martial Arts career, I learned one system, mastered it and thought I knew it all, after 18yrs of this sort of thing, I took a chance and experimented with something else, that experience blew me away, I realized in an instant I didn't know that much, and it was thru methods and practices that I realized this, so it is the same here, the practices of Yoga, Buddhism, Taoism and such are very very powerful, You just have not tried it or if you did it was not the right practice for you.. someday You may venture into it, hopefully You do!
