  1. If he still thinks that depression can be cured by going to the gym, then he's lost. Hopefully, for his sake, he has better arguments for his Romanian case.
  2. Justice isn't always attainable. Justice can be relative. For some, "justice" is to remove all Israelis from the region. October 7th was "justice" in some people's eyes, and payback for the treatment they've received from Israel. If they cannot agree to share the land and see the realities, then they will fight forever.
  3. Traditionally, women have been a source of emotional support for men. But there is a balance. I think women, even progressive ones, would be turned off if a man is always whiny and soft. Or otherwise burdens them with problems.
  4. Liking trans women isn't gay. Even if said person is pre-op or non-op and still has male genitals. Generally, men who like trans women are attracted to femininity. Said people won't be attracted to men, as they too obviously would have a penis.
  5. What's the evil? in acknowledging China is potentially using it for clandestine means? China can't expect much better from the US. If China is using it for clandestine means, then yes, it's more than justified to take the source code and produce a US-based rival. China would be whining that the USA stole something that it was using for ill-intent as it stood. yes, the moral "righteous" party there.
  6. Countries break rules all the time. It's why there are courts of arbitration by the UN and other bodies. If China is an "enemy", then China cannot expect much else.
  7. I don't understand the connection here. I'm neither Palestinian nor Israeli. I have no reason to be pro either side. I look at them and think they need to sit down and recognise what's done is done and reach an accord that lasts for many years. Hopefully, for decades or centuries or millennia in the future. If they don't, then they'd spend a very long time killing each other out of vengeance, and in some regard they'd deserve it.
  8. I believe it is a spectrum. Who says I'm wrong? you have issues in noting another view. human beings aren't blank slates.
  9. Aside from any potential Chinese snooping, tiktok is very low brow and easy entertainment. Peopel dont' take it with a pinch of salt and it's just misguiding youth.
  10. Said country has provided a safe and stable place to live in.
  11. Iran and the Vatican. And Saudi Arabia and the UAE to a lesser extent.
  12. in my country, primary education is bs and I don't remember anything of it. I'm neither American nor Canadian so I don't care what they do. However, I stand by my points.
  13. Do they? seems trite and simplistic imho. Seems like there is is inherent goodness of life. Seems like empty spirtualism and wishful thinking. for me, all human conduct is on a spectrum. and some perhaps are on the darker end of the spectrum. i don't see ho that's "bad" to state. it's just an opinion. io thought everybody had an opinion? or i guess some pretty ladies say this but cannot actually believe it or intellectually control themselves.
  14. i don't agree. that's wishful thinking. i don't see why it's implausible that some are just bad. if that's "harsh", i don't really care. it's just my own view. there is no evidence that humans are blank slates. and if do people things, then one can ward off them. if that's offensive, then i dunno what to say, really. i guess if somebody torches your house, you'd love then and wield them in your bosom....
  15. People of a specific culture abide by common norms and values.
  16. Little to do with culture. SA/rape cases in developed countries are seldom solved. It's a global culture that hasn't been eradicated by greater awareness and/or gender equality. Are most college rape/SA cases done by immigrants from Asia or Africa? I doubt it. it's a wider crisis and problem.
  17. I don't see what's amusing. Maybe medical ethics are a sin in your culture. As is being insecure. As in having atrocious English and then getting offended when others call you out for the same. And going to a temple, thjt tells you "rules" that you cannot be judged, ever. why not? Tell me then where this special "rule" from fluff emanates from.
  18. these are common sayings, but they've never made sense. They're often said by people who are hypocrites and racist to justify and soothe their own views/behaviours. Some are more hypocritical than others. others are more rigid. I don't think highly hypocritical people are "bad" or "sullied" people. they just don't take their word literally, or are very impulsive. Or they were raised not to take shit very seriously. In themselves, these aren't bad traits. but not everybody is the same mentally or psychologically. Some might have been raised to take shit seriously. Others might be less impulsive, or do take their word literally. It all kinds to make up the world. It's not some empty cliche, but a fact as we're all different. The phrase "everybody is a little bit racist" makes me giggle. Nobody is born racist. We're born with the capacity for biases and bigotry. This doesn't have to manifest automatically in racism. When people make this point, they're almost saying that we're as equally susceptible to societal norms or indoctrination, or there is some "racist gene" or area of the brain that makes people so, which is nonsense and baseless on both counts. I'm not "inherently racist". It's clearly racist people who say this, to try and ease their own feelings and thoughts. "Oh it's not my fault - it's my SOCIETY. It's how my brain operates!!!" stop projecting! people who do this make themselves look like fools when they assume how they think based on their own life experiences, personalities, upbringing, genetics, epigenetics, etc. applies to ALL 8 billion people alive today. Or would apply to people living in the future or who lived in the past. Because there could never be a flighty person living in 2250 AD China, who lives next to a rigid and principled person in a worker's apartment block on an asteroid mining craft construction site. If humans live another 200k years, then maybe there would be trillions of us who have ever lived. Yep, some dipshit hypocrite with a flighty mind or racist looking to rationalise their own mindset in 2024 AD can speak for people he never knew in the past and will never know in the future!
  19. It should be banned. Fuck free speech. Free speech isn't an absolute right. It's clear that there are links between social manipulation and Chinese state interests. What the US Feds should do is take the IP and source code and create a rival. Let the Chinese state sue. who gives a shit?
  20. Finkelstein was being needlessly base in his debate, calling him "Mr. Borelli". Whilst the other two people in the Fridman-hosted debate were civil.
  21. OK. So he's masking his beliefs, mostly likely learnt from some mosque or imam, as medical facts.
  22. tin foil hat bullshit. a one world government is unlikely and only will work if a single country dominates the Earth, which has never happened. Or there is some mass crisis necessitating it.
  23. Populism is often a reaction to a given grievance. It pops up in midst of perceived or actual crises.
  24. Neither is better than the other. it entirely depends on one's own needs and requirements.
  25. American conservatives are retarded. Carlson espouses infusing personal beliefs and inner thoughts as facts. And him professing his Christianity, whilst then literally in the next sentence he utters saying something very unChristian is funny asf. As in "I'm a man of God, I have trust in Christ. But I'd love to just beat the living shit about of that guy!" American conservatives have a collective critical thinking bypass.
