  1. Spiritualists are funny. All over the place, hypocritical, holier than thou, and presumptuous. Smiling isn't the only way to demonstrate goodwill towards others. A person might smile at you to break down barriers since s/he has bad intent. It's not that black and white. There are other ways of life than your spiritualism. It's not THE path or perception. but then you assume everybody is morose all the time. no, people are not. we have by design and default a variety of emotions. An edgelord/emo-eque state is just something you concocted and want to project to all others.
  2. Society may not work for some today. Did it work for those in the past? Not so much.
  3. OK, I'll leave you to "win" and be the "righteous" party without proving such. I stand by my points, that you're inflecting subjective thoughts with reality and I don't agree with you. I have no obligation to do as such, nor does any human to any other human in principle. Healthy people don't cry false victim, nor think they're always right.
  4. Putin is an intelligent fellow, no doubt. However, i don't think much else could have been expected. Carlson was smart not to heavily push him in own turf/back yard. Putin won't ever relent from his position, as Russia being the victim in this entire situation. His point on AI was well-founded. The potential for misuse is high and there might need to be some global regulations on such.
  5. It's also innate in life to seek survival. Just because all known species have gone extinct it does't mean that we cannot face off existential threats.
  6. I don't see what i've done wrong here. I guess merely using something in the proper context inflames people with inner subjective workings. Don't go to a supermarket and harass people who buy soy milk, cos you think soy milk is cringe or woke or namby-pamby. looool.
  7. People are entitled to disagree with you. Why assume your view is THE view that all must adhere to? For somebody so "wise", you don't get contexts well. I don't have a chip. I merely said I disagree with your view. I accept it's your view but i don't think it's factual and it's largely ideological. I'm amused though that me doing what's normal here, or should be normal here, bothers you that deeply. and you're selective on doing this. Who are you protecting? and why do you assume everybody else has to care aobut your sujective views and inclinations? the arrogance is comical. Maybe the person/people you're protecting should learn to be a bit more grown and resilient.
  8. I'd argue you were fully judgmental. Are you the victim here? I thought you were a social master? said people never assume they're always right in discourse. I disagreed with your analysis, since I still believe it's too subjetive and not that factual. We all have opinions but they're distinct from facts. I believe then why fight for any country, since no country can be utopian. that's the essence of my point.
  9. i think it's the brains of spiritual people. you seem like a coward, since y0ou won't a hijabi this. why not? she's human. maybe she should handle human engagement and filter it out as we all do.
  10. Maybe it's some norm in India to gain pleasure from comically invasive questions. I'm a human. I can tell you I've experienced every emotion. Most actions are extrapolations of basic needs. Nobody needs to watch TV, but we do for entertainment or to be informed. Those are needs. I don't see the connection in this context. You seem to have an issue in anyting that doesn't meet some spritual basis.
  11. narcissism is assuming people are static emotionally. or being a coward and not sticking to a principle. or thinking proven psychology over many decades is false, merely to be "unique" or "edgy". Since apprently it's normal to only be morose and you seem to think/believe. I'm amused my point bothered you. there Is a world beyond your own perception of it.
  12. Human behaviour fascinates me, especially the motivations behind actions. I've come to realise that we're all borne from our formative experiences, as well as our own innate psychologies and neurologies. There isn't really true freedom, as we're all slaves to circumstances. It's one reason why I hate pretty women. I genuinely do. And mainly since they are conditioned by circumstance. Some would say they "didn't choooose to be pretty!" Yes, this is true. But then backgrounds and formative facts shape us all. I actively avoid them, even in social settings. My mother runs a Rotary club and sometimes I go along and there are some cute entrepreneur ladies, and I don't speak with them. It makes me laugh somewhat, since they no doubt manage people, and pretty women are often stuck up to the point they lack the empathy or professionalism to manage people well. I think it annoys people in that I don't see any group as better. It's how I was raised, and I don't pay lip service to it as some might. I fully believe it and live it. Pretty women are probably offended by that, but not everybody shares nor should share their flighty personalities. Yes, I seem bigoted. So? Same said people would allow a person who is racist to have their views, since "people have a right to be racist". I guess it hurts their brains to exercise some consistency or note parallels.
  13. We make inferences from facial expressions or body language. this is distinct from knowing one's exact emotional state, which isn't possible.
  14. Well, you don't know how i can or will react. i hope your attempt to gaslight gave you pleasure! Your points were obviously off colour but i'm not even offended. just genuinely amused.
  15. I think your brother has a point. AI as it stands now is controllable. But then it assumes it will always be the case. AI now acts autonomously but within bounds programmers and software engineers set. But not all cases of AI are or will be controllable. We've seen computer science develop immensely since the first computers decades ago. He is right to be cautious. Why would humans be more conscious in the future? our nature hasn't really ever changed.
  16. Russia is a brazenly racist country. They're following the lead that Western Europeans used to do, and stiull do in some cases. Mess up Africa and exploit it.
  17. I don't agree with you. As I said, you're citing subjective beliefs as facts. Why then is MY view not valid? or don't you "learn" from me?? I don't have to agree with you, nor you with me. it's not human to "agree outright" with anybody. we all have free will. Your lived experience and those of your friends cannot relate by definition to all. Moreover, socialism is one worldview/ideology. It's by no means an objective ideology. No society is perfect, nor can be,. By citing pre-WW2 Britain as "idyllic" is false. There was no state-run healthcare then. Far less social mobility. No protections against discrimination. Racism, sexism, anti-Semetism, etc. were the norm and weren't questioned at all. A society where there were defined "betters" and "lessers". A growing fascist party that was only curbed when WW2 started. Immense slums in big cities. Pre-WW2 Britain didn't work for the many. It does now. Or at the least, we strive to be this way. It was accepted that many should "know their place" back then. Most nay all have a chance to go to university now. That wasn't the case back then. Women are free today to do and achieve as they please. That wasn't the case back then. Whilst Britain didn't have racism to the degree of the United States, it still was a time of "white man's burden" and thus used as a justification for the British Empire which at that point still existed. It was only really the sacrifices of WW2 that led to the NHS and the welfare state. This is in large part why Labour won the 1945 general election because they offered something new and built on the need for change after six years of war. Not everybody has to be a socialist, and there is no "best" political ideology. Nobody needs to be a political science scholar to note that. So that's my view - I believe life in Britain in pre-1945 was arguably worse for many than it is today. there's no reason why my view is lesser than yours. but I doubt you'd say "ok that's your view!" and move on. You said your views, and I disagree, since I believe it's a subjective reading of how things were back then. But your perspective that is based purely on subjective experience/reasoning of hard-left people is not anything that a person disagree with. ever. looool. If there is war, then human nature hasn't changed. Because the post-WW2 order has been relatively benign in that only the USSR and now Russia have been major threats in Europe, it doesn't mean this will remain forever. And yes, current Britain isn't perfect. Neither was pre-WW2 Britain. And imho, Britain today is far better in many ways and for more people. Though as presumably a white male, you will only see it from your own standpoint.
  18. Manipulation is what you're doing right now.
  19. Is this an attempt to gaslight? Or you know my reactions? do you know me? Yes, the bystander effect exists. But I have and will call for help. It's funny how you claim to know my reactions.
  20. Well, no, facial expressions don't correlate with inner emotional states. Moreover, the evidence on whether empaths exist is moot. It's not humanely possible to read an entire person's emotional state by mere observation. If psychological facts annoy you, that's a you problem.
  21. what mirror? maybe use your spiritual "wisdom" and realise that humans have fluctuating moods. don't say humans are always morose. I know you hate science but then it's not standard to be uber-stoic. I say this since I note you ignore the myriad of dumb threads on this forum. Coward. People do have prejudices. most of the world is prejudiced in some form. do you dispute this, when it's reality? there IS a world beyond your inner perception of it.
  22. Saying ambition alone causes wealth is naive. As for wealth linked with health, somewhat. Depends on the condition. Quite a few noted people had mental illnesses before being famous, or have experienced traumas. Lady Gaga is an example. Lots of noted Twitch/Kick streamers have also, like Alinity, Sweet Anita, etc. It's often based on luck - but it's politically incorrect and "unkind" to mention this reality.
  23. Unless one is an empath, one cannot know the true emotional states of others. It's not that simple as you're alluding to.
  24. i can accept i'm fallible. unlike spiritualists as yourself. i can dislike some groups but then not want them to be harmed per se.
  25. I don't believe one's worth is based on how powerful one is, or their job. As for what causes success, a lot of life is just luck. Some people are born into proper situations. Others are in the right place at the right time. Others just are born with given skills, or meet the right people to harness said skills.
