  1. The Madeleine McCann story still periodically makes the news. I have to question why. It is a tragedy that she went missing. However, people go missing literally everyday. Some are found and others are not. I get the suspicion that her story is continually peddled since she's white. The media favour her tragedy over millions of others due to her race. I'd question why this should be so, considering all missing people should be a tragedy. the race or gender (I assume if she were male, it wouldn't be as highlighted) of the said person should never give them more weight or sympathy.
  2. Most of these happiness indices list the Scandinavian countries at the top. Granted, they are often made in good faith. But happiness is very relative. Whilst Denmark, Sweden and Norway are very wealthy and they take care of their citizens well, I don't think I'd be happy there. They're very nanny-state-ish. They pamper their citizens too much. And whilst governments are there to protect the people, they should be able to live their own lives properly. they also are quite homogenous and don't like integration that much. Or really don't pay credence to integration in some instances. This is why they have issues with immigrant rapes and stuff - they are often very PC and woke and won't do what it takes to make immigrants integrate. They don't realise there is a balance to be struck and migrants and states must work together to find that balance. Moreover, they are cold and winter in these places is harsh. If accounting for European countries, I'd prefer to live in the UK, Netherlands or Germany. Neither are as wealthy in terms of median incomes as Scandinavia, but they are less nanny-state-ish, and also have a healthier balance of integration. They also have more career and life opportunities, and overall are more varied places.
  3. Humans are spiritual. that's been observed for literally forever.
  4. I'm amused and not frustrated. you genuinely believe everybody is or should be morose and humourless. Or be perfectly erudite in speech or thought. I believe that's an unhealthy and unreasonable standard for all to adhere to. I don't see why a mix of emotions is bad. You probably concocted this worldview in a formative part of life but then despite being smart haven't even ever questioned it. And you think this abnormal standard is what everybody should adhere to, since having a balance of emotions in given circumstances which has long been proven to be psychologically healthy is bad based on your inner edgelord psychology. It's why you let some Indian kid chat the biggest BS out, since he's a fellow from your kind. so it's all some grand bias looool.
  5. lol. more manipulation. Who mentioned growth? Or that I should grow? I think you're influenced by an Indian temple or something. this indirect and sublimiinal communication style as actually quite intriguing. I dont' think any person has to adhere to your points. The obligation to do such is baseless. It's you who is using imprecise English in bad contexts. hence it lends to some pathetic game.
  6. Yes, it can and often does. Failures can show where one went wrong.
  7. I don't get dictated to by strangers, or people who were raised in spiritual environments that de-emphasise individual will. Her tone was manipulative by way of using imprecise language that wasn't connected to the germane point at hand.
  8. It would get more views which in turn would get more traction. People would be inclined to buy Pringles via subway ads.
  9. This is false. People need to find out about a product, or be encouraged to buy it. Marketing is really the entire process of creating and selling a product, from idea conception to advertising and customer service. All products needs this.
  10. Fitness-based facebook groups. If you have an associated twitter account, use it to promote vids via links. At influencers, which can get in more views at least. Do this sparingly, as too many will annoy them and they may block your posts. Fitness-based message boards are also good. Put a link in the signature, or if they have a dedicated space for sharing content, use that.
  11. a basic business practice is to create an offering that meets people's expectations. I'm not being rude, but then I'd ask what you really expect from this. if a person was selling shoes from a normal home, which were bonafide and not shoddy or stolen, then it's not unreasonable if customers balk at this.
  12. what response? you actually believe that humans only have and should have one morose experience or feeling. Your pastors clearly aren't that learned, since they teach you nonsense.
  13. Many European countries are as prosperous as the USA. Moreover, why should cultures that have existed for centuries be all unified? The same then should apply to Asia or Africa. The USA was founded as one country and even then there always have been cultural differences between the states, leading to Civil War in one case.
  14. Politics is about appealing to people and selling a vision. This is true in all systems, and not just liberal democracies. China wouldn't have become communist had Mao not convinced the masses to support him in ousting Chiang. Hitler, Mussolini, Franco, etc. all came to power via means of popular support. Populism is therefore natural. I don't know much about Indonesian politics, though I don't see what he's doing wrong. It's his job, if he wants to gain office, to appeal to people.
  15. this is odd advice. this depends strongly on which part of Europe one is referring to.
  16. Have some empathy with your customers. Don't assume they should "just accept" it.
  17. Trump is a narcissist. He's bullish, brash, and uncouth. and his followers will excuse any act he does, because they're so wedded to his message and ideology.
  18. Businesses exist to maximise revenues and profit. It's always been that way. If anything, things like trade unions, labour laws, etc. became established. Merchants always wanted as much money as possible. However, once joint stock companies were established, this basic desire for money intensified. It's always been this way.
  19. It's a consequence of higher living standards. However, more people means more envionmental pressures. Half of all land is used for agriculture worldwide. It's simplistic to say "we need more people!" Yes, we do to some extent but there is only a certain amount of space to accommodate said people.
  20. This is moot. Each EU country has some leeway in choosing its immigration rules, even though there are the single market and Schengen in place. Many migrants are low-skilled and are permitted to be there on that basis. They can be citizens after a given time in working there.
  21. It's subjective. there can be no best country, and it depends on one's individual needs and circumstances. Scandinavian countries are wealthy but very nanny state oriented. They also are overly accommodating to migrants and are very cold, especially in winter. Excess snow can be a turn-off for people.
  22. Good customer service is about meeting expectations. Essentially, it's what they expect from a given product or service. People buying groceries from a supermarket want fair prices, a wide selection, friendly staff, etc. People frequenting restaruants want clean tables, good food, good service, etc. I think in your case, it's unorthodox. I don't even mean to be denigrating, since it's not at all my intention. Perhaps people aren't accustomed to buying bikes from a private residence. Maybe this is why they think it's a scam.
  23. You cannot. That's purely on the domain name provider to produce. There is no legal grounds to sue a person or group for that, and nor should there be.
  24. It can be more expensive. But it depends more on the place. Perhaps in the USA, with more processed foods and different distribution channels, it's more expensive. But even then, if a person lives in a rural area, there surely are more markets selling local produce. I'd find it hard to believe that in an African or Asian country, where agriculture is more prevalent and food supply is often more localised, that it's difficult to be a vegan. I once lived in the Caribbean, and compared to Western Europe it was quite eye-opening to see the various different fruits and veg that grew wild. People often had mango trees in their back gardens, and there was more of a market-based culture selling local produce than in Western Europe. In an urban environment in the USA or Europe, where most people might just get food from the local supermarket or rely on getting items from overseas to cover periods when they're out of season, then yes, I suppose it can be more expensive. It obviously costs money to get strawberries from Kenya or mangos from India to the average Walmart, Tesco or Carrefour all year around.
  25. This assumes that it's merely a matter of choice or ambition. It can be, but more often than not there are a myriad of different factors involved.
