The naysayers on the dangers of AI are naive and blinded. Yes, AI largely right NOW is benign. But this doesn't excuse bad actors. Bad state actors or private bodies developing things without public knowledge. All other computer science has advanced over the years. So why won't AI? Comparing the dangers to nukes, which some do, is equally as cringe. Nuclear weapons are no doubt destructive. But they only work via human agency and action. There are also non-proliferation treaties to stop the spread of nuclear weapons. AI is way harder to prevent being stopped. How can one stop spreading coding or software development knowledge being spread? A nuke cannot fire itself. An AI, even a benign one like Chat GPT, can literally function independently. As a species, we need to put the halt on it. Even sign a treaty at the UN level limiting their development. And even get North Korea or other pariah stats to sign it. They signed the nuclear non-proliferation treaty, so there is hope.

Isn't it you saying I cannot say "cringe"? there i said it. maybe just filter it out. Did your guru not tell you to filter things out? most do. I'm not being disrespectful at all. Though I'm amused you genuinely assume the world must conform to your personal tastes and likes. you don't like ever being contrite, seemingly. -
This is false, and bad advice. Video games have been the norm for the best part of thirty years. From the Sega vs. Nintendo days. Most younger people at least have played video games, and it's only really niche groups that don't play video games. Minecraft is played by millions around the world. Plenty of girls play video games, and it's not like the 1980s were it was seen as a boy's thing only. The OP can find different groups and women who are into video games or Minecraft. It's only really edgelords trying to be unique who are anti-video games in this era, and that's been true for a long time. The OP just needs to find his niche. An activity that literally millions, possibly billions, do regularly cannot be nerdy or weird by definition. Women ho believe that are a bit sheltered or just overly preppy. There IS somebody for everybody. It may seem trite or "blue pill" but there is truth to it. People of varying types and descriptions get relationships all the time. most people who are married are not classically good-looking. there are also a myriad of different peoples in the world. The OP just needs to find his people.

Though you get to call others incoherent. looool. And you don't see or wish to see the contradiction. I love how you believe you're always right in everything. nobody really is, or can be. -

humans are humans. we have a mix of emotions and behaviouf. i'm not feeling superior. though i don't like you since you believe you're right and don't see the bigger picture. kindly state how i'm wrong here? i doubt you can. i don't see where i'm being a hypocrite at all. i just left a response to the video posted. but then apparently you're so right and wise in evetything. Moreover, people don't act to suit your tastes or needs. your spiritualism is overriding basic human practice. as for hypocrisy, i've seen you post lots of negative stuff. and bemoan others for not being astute. but then you think everybody always behaves in a civil and benevolent fashion. that's not astute. i'm glad we mutually dislike each other. -
i wo't say i do. i talk with people but don't feel tired. i do't really like people that much. i do my own thing. people are odd. i reckon i didn't do or was assertive enough when young and didn't get "it". i probably didn't beat somebody up or something. I don't feel drained but i can just go and do my own thing if needs be.

i responded how anybody would.

Yes, but I don't hide my negativity like you do. And yes, I use vernacular often. And? It's just words. Much of the world is bigoted. I have some bad psychological traits, including over-generalising. I don't profess to be perfect. I'm not sure what your issue is with me. all can place opinions here. I think that offends you, since you think like Hitler and infuse your subjective likes into reality. Or you have some plot to undermine me. What i fight back agaisnt that plot? is that not anybody's right? though you prove my point - you cite me as the "wrong" without any real scrutiny. spiritualists tend to think like Hitler. -

I can speak freely, as can you. We're both human. you may have gained that right by how you look by accident or the design of others, but such is life. i have it too. -
One that triggers you..... Though I stand that I believe they are weak imho.

In principle, anybody should be free to go to a public space or business. We don't live in apartheid South Africa. However, he makes some good points. straights should be mindful that despite more lgbt acceptance, lgbt clubs/bars are still safe spaces where they can be themselves which they couldn't be in "normal" places.

I believe it will happen. In a way, it would be historically just.
-
OK. I was just curious. Though I'd argue progression is relative. And none of us are perfect in thought or deed.

It's not just Musk or X. I'm referring to it more generically. There have been conspiracy nuts long before social media existed.
-
Both are pretty similar as large global cities. Multi-cultural, cultural, and economic centres.
-
I mean weak as in they're lacking in substance overall as explanations.

Well, I apparently trigger you here. Since there are unwritten "rules" stating I cannot make opinions. When you don't get basic political and economic precepts and your English is poor. And you cannot spell rudimentary words in the English language. But I'm not welcome here since I internally vex you, since your inner world is something everybody else has to care about. But everybody else is incoherent and has to fold. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/incoherent Though your Indian guru friends here will not get you exhibit of incoherence. Spiritualists do tend to be blinded. -
What's the difference between the two? Can one's views be inconsistent and not hypocritical? I believe in full social equality for all and don't really tolerate bigotry against any group. but I would admit I despise any conventionally hot woman. they tend to be nasty and hypocritical, and get away with it since they know people will have their back. but I wouldn't openly discriminate against them or wish them any real harm. I don't see this as hypocrisy, but just a nuance. The major "harm" i cause hotties is just a few nasty glances, or being ruder than normal if they bump into me in public, or not speaking with them at social gatherings.
-
of course they work like that. people have different conceptions. thag's life. i believe your church/spirital grounding has clouded your mind.
-
i don't know who Lee Rigby was. I don't even know you. I engage with people directly and don't use underhanded language.

lol. You use continually bad English. But I'm the one "speaking" gibberish? I take it you like to be right. Something to exploit, that's a plus for me. It's nice when sensitive people who are non-adult say things like this. Keep on letting the Indian kid chat the biggest BS out, but then condemn others who aren't of your spiritual tradition. I'm amused that my random opinion triggered you to the core. -
bebotalk replied to Rafael Thundercat's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
meh.. i'm not really bothered. it's clear i triggered you over nothing, and you get to label who has the right to speak freely here because it's how you were raised in your temple. -
it's pretty simple, really. Take riding a bike. When learning, one may fall off. Or learning to drive. By failing, we analyse and learn what's needed to be done.
-
i know it triggers you. you genuinely think based on your temple upbringing that's how adults interpersonally relate. i just know how your brain works and how to move around it.
-
nobody is absoutely open-minded. are you? if somebody said to me that it's acceptable to kill one's neighbours kids by beating them in the street, i'd never accept that. Though humans have prejudices. i'm sure you do. Seems the guru/mosque upbringing lingers in you.
