  1. yes, they can be cured. it depends on the symptoms, the client's co-operativeness, and other factors. though pretty women like you who "plot" are amusing. i don't care for your selectiveness, nor do i need to. for somebody who claims to have expert social skills, you don't even get that people can respond to you.
  2. We already hold a standing principle of not defaming others. So then, it should be illegal for a person of any sex and/or gender to falsely accuse another of rape or SA. It should further carry a HEAVY jail sentence if said allegations are false.
  3. Besides, the narrative is to be oneself. it's on hyper-extroverts to filter out things and not assume everybody has to be like them.
  4. The current Western bias towards extroversion is cringe. I admit I'm an introvert. I don't really like engaging with people. I don't like people that much, and just do my own thing. i find people getting "uptight" over introverts are both sensitive and hypocrites. hypocrisy since it's the narrative these days for everybody to be themselves. and sensitive since the detractors like to take and seldom give in life. so a person isn't that engaging with them. and? it's odd that one person not being engaging, when you cannot read said person's mind as to why, means one can just move on. it shows an infantile and unintelligent means of engaging with people
  5. Possibly, but this isn't inherenlty bad. people are different and we shouldn't aggregate people.
  6. therapists are there to cure illness. priests are not. i don't see the connection. find somebody else to gaslight. I don't really know what point you're attempting to make, but it doesn't follow from mine, and is just some odd supposition or distortion of what I was referring.
  7. But then the Conservatives are not widely unpopular. One cannot see on TV, online, or speak to random people about how they want the Tories out. Lol. gaslighter.
  8. I dont see the connection here.
  9. For every action, there is a reaction. Immigration has been an issue in EUrope for a long time. And there has been less emphasis on integration of immigrants. People of various different races and cultures is fine in itself. But national languages of European countries should be promoted as the standard. It's the PC wish not to integrate and enforce localised cultures and norms that's partof the issue. As well as some saying "oh well Europeans colonised parts of the world, so they got no right to complain!!" So EUropeans alive today, who didn't conquer India or Indochina, should pay for what some Europeans centuries ago did? Surely colonialism proves that it's wrong for cultures from overseas to impose their ways on others. Two wrongs don't make a right. A desire for "vengeance" in this form shows racism in itself, and hypocrisy in decrying a patently historically wrong act and morally condoning similar today.
  10. So humans don't have biases? really? OK. is this an attempt to gaslight, or what? yes, therapists are human. but this is the reason why professions often have codes of conduct, to limit the negative effects of biases. it's why police are often trained to not arbitrarily beat people of a race, religion, region, sex, gender, etc. they dislike. I don't see the logical connection here. Moreover, biases or bigotries are not a mental illness. It's nowhere in the DSM and to assume people have no such thing is either limited or displaying disingenuousness.
  11. Since the Tories in common discourse are highly unpopular. So I assume you're arguing from bad faith. If this isn't the case, then the opinion polls wouldn't be heavily anti-Tory. UK COVID deaths were higher than comparable countries. Moreover, the then PM openly lied about his actions in the lockdowns and those of his staff. this is common knowledge. Theresa May took over as PM after Cameron resigned, but spent her entire tenure dithering over getting a Brexit deal with the EU, and had to resign once it was clear her draft deal wouldn't be accepted. It took Boris less than four months to secure a deal, which wasn't that much different to what May proposed. That's three years lost, which could have been spent on other matters. I don't know what you mean about loans. All governments borrow externally. Immigration is complex since the country needs workers. You're basically gaslighting, since it's common that the Conservatives are disliked. Maybe things are different where you live, but even if you live in a heavily Labour seat that most likely they will gain, I don't see saying the Tories being unpopular is that contentious.
  12. what biases? all humans hold biases. many humans hold prejudices. then therapists are cowards since they arbitrarily select whom to condemn for prejudices. that further proves that therapists are trash.
  13. I won't say it's medical science per se. It's more human failings.
  14. yes. though passive-aggression amuses me. the point is more of a part rant/statement, and people can build off points I've made accordingly.
  15. I'm not really a believer in grace to enemies. Enemies may unrelentingly want to screw one over, so where is the grace to be had? It's a high-minded and uber-noble ideal, that doesn't fit in the real world. I genuinely deem every pretty woman on Earth my enemy. I don't care if that makes me "bad". And? name a human alive who is perfect? this is an account of something that happened in a post-grad uni class several months ago. It's a certificate about public/corporate communications and marketing, and we had to give two presentations. One on telling a story on anything we wanted, and one on a detailed marketing strategy for an imaginary or existing product. The story I presented was about the linguistic history of the British Isles. When I discussed Scots vis a vis English, I said that whether they are separate languages was moot, and that they are mutually intelligible. One very hot fellow student loudly said and interrupted me saying that's "false", and I said my view was valid and that the phrase "a language is just that with an army and a navy" stands. I said it quite sternly, and i could see was shocked. GOOD. don't interrupt me for petty bs reasons. I wish I could get a mind ray and read the minds of every pretty lady on Earth. I bet it's pretty savage and dark. always looking who to "fuck over". I won't let pretties "bully me" any longer. I won't let them dictate the scope of my life. Only I do that. yes, ME. They hold no fucking right, ever, until the end of TIME, to do that. Even the Lord in the Bible said He gave us free will. So if that's good enough for Jesus, it's good enough for HUMANS who happen to be born in a physical state where others deem them more physically attractive, and as the female sex. -
  16. I find often it;s people from India or parts of Asia where society specialises in degrading people, who find the concept of therapists treating people equally offensive. is it that offensive, it stops you from caring for your kids, doing your job, earning a living, or being content? if so, maybe said people need therapists.
  17. they're trained and are experts. like how mechanics are experts. so then their profession is faulty if experts given laypeople who seek their help guidance.
  18. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/reform-poll-lead-tories-farage-putin-b2568005.html Yes, a clear bubble.
  19. Such an alliance makes perfect sense. They are both anti-Western, and Putin knows he needs all the allies he can get at the moment.
  20. You seem to live in a bubble then, or are lying about being British, or have no clue about the general vibe. yes, I'd say the Tories DO deserve to lose. Adhering to a popular opinion or view isn't a weakness. Especially if said view is reasonable and well-grounded. I don't belive murder is good, or that people should arbitrarily burn churches, mosques, and mandirs. I'm sorry I hold such a "bad" popular opinion.
  21. Because you questioning the unpopularity of the Tories is peculiar. Moreover, you don't type like a native English speaker. Saying the Tories are unpopular shouldn't be controversial. Even if one is a Tory supporter, it doesn't override this. A MAGA Trump person can still acknowledge that there are many other Americans who dislike Trump. So tbh, I don't believe you're British. Since I didn't even make outlandish claims. If so, then the opinion polls wouldn't have dropped radically after Truss's budget. I am British - and it's pretty self-evident that the Tories are unpopular. I've also voted Tory in every election since I reached voting age, and I do believe the Tories should lose. It's clear that May mismanaged the Brexit process. It's clear Boris Johnson's antics during COVID made him resign, And Truss was forced to resign by he own party after the fallout from her mini-budget. And even now, she is blaming the Civil Service and not her own idiocies as PM. So yes, they are to blame. That's a common, popular, and most possibly factual, view. Why don't you disprove MY points, which are commonly held amongst British people of all persuasions? This was made before Sunak called the election, so I dont' see how merely stating they're unpopular is controversial!!
  22. Because my view is a commonly accepted one in philosophical circles. Why even make posts if you don't want people responding to them? Any dope can make a podcast. It doesn't make their beliefs or values hard facts. Your sentence above didn't even make sense, and was poorly constructed.
  23. It's not about silencing people. It's about lessening bad logic and reasoning. And yes, bad logic can be discerned. Howard's logic overall is bad, hence why he's being called out and he isn't being silenced. People are responding to his points as stated. Progress operates from reasoned critiques of standing practices. This led to the abolition of slavery, women's suffrage, and contemporary LGBT rights. So we should encourage more good-faith critiques of things, over half-baked reasoning as Howard is presenting. It's clear why 1x1=1, since 1 is being multiplied by itself. He has said an elemental part of maths is wrong, despite it applying for millennia, without any real grounding. We only move forward or grow with reasoned critiques of stuff. he isn't being silenced. My point is that bad faith critiques should be curbed and discussing this hasn't even lent to much positive. It's not about silencing people.
  24. Shouldn't we just societally shun bad logic and reasoning? For instance. people who say "Why is there no white history month if there is a black history month?" make me both laugh and cringe concurrently. Why are people like Terrance Howard and his "theories debunking mathematics and physics" allowed platforms? Either people who say this are racists and are just too subtle or cowardly to express their views. Or they have the poor reasoning or cognitive functioning to realise why black or LBGT pride months exist. it's not merely about being proud of one's race or sexual orientation. They're about celebrating groups in spite of past and sometimes current discrimination. the first gay pride parades were about being open about being LGBT, and in spite of a far more homophobic society at the time. Similarly, black history month is about focusing on the achievements of black people in the USA and beyond. No majority group, in the sociological sense as in controlling the means of a society, needs recognition vis a vis oppression by definition. I'd have to ask why people don't get the point of said months. Either they're highly ignorant or just closeted bigots, who formulate strawmen arguments like "Why is there no white history month?!" as a tool or dog-whistle. As for Howard, well yes, any scientific theory should be challenged. But then it's about good faith and logical challenges. Take epigenetics, this new take on genetic expression comes from an analysis of how genes operate which has been proven and reproduced over time.
