Hope everyone is having an awesome day. Let's try something fun to get you out of your shell. For those who are too introverted to meet and talk to the opposite sex I have a goal for you this week. Start a conversation with anyone you find attractive in the next 7 days. The point is not to ask them out or anything just yet. Conversation starters can be: -directions to a place or the time -ask them where they purchased the article of clothing you like on them -ask them if you can draw a picture of them (and then draw a stick figure) -ask them if they are enjoying the great weather (regardless of how nice the weather is) Bonus points for making them smile with a joke or something stupid. Report back here if you want. Most approaches by the end of the week wins. Good luck!

We have the dilemma of involvement vs non- involvement. The higher road is non-involvement but that's not practical on the same planet you live on.

Interestingly if you continue with this line of thinking it goes full circle and becomes completely meaningless. If you say "right & wrong don't exist" than believing they do, isn't wrong. It becomes a paradox. Or am I tripping?

@Princess Arabia Good point, and if you don't have a self, then I don't either. Something exists but without individual selves sounds alot like solipsism to me. 🤯

No offense, but what did this even mean? I know you are honestly trying to discuss issues but I just can't see a comment like this as anything but word salad. What does feminism have anything to with fiat money being a scam? Other than it being a set of beliefs or something? (Again not sure what you are trying to say).

Alot of things are childish but some things are less so. Discerning between the two is maturity.

Imagine if cars just existed like they do today but nobody knew how they worked. People would try to take them apart but we just couldn't figure it out. That fiat money is a scam is not a serious argument. It's neither a scam or not a scam. It's like saying traffic lights are a scam because they make me come to a stop when I'd rather keep going.

Yes but the post is about Nazis and your average Nazi is a regular human being. The colonialists acted alot like Nazis. But because they won and it happened few hundred years ago nobody bats an eye. The Western world is currently benefiting from the devilry of the colonialists. Nazis are not as rare or unique as we might think and we are all capable of acting that way.

@Jannes such an awesome exerpt @Leo Guraposted, yes I'm unsure too why he would disagree with the aliens so readily. Open mindedness for one. As Peter Ralston says, the doctors of today will seem like fools 1000 years from now, just like the doctors from 1000 years ago do today. The authority we give doctors puts us in paradigm lock. Furthermore, we need to teach kids that anything is possible so they don't carry our limiting beliefs with them.
