The reason it's out of fashion is because a power can realize it's in no need of good old fashioned conquering and then has every reason to portray it as barbaric in order to make itself and it's proxy tactics look good in comparison. I mean, if I were to grant that Israel controls the mainstream of the united states in order to make it work against it's own interest by not making Israel's invasion seem less moral and thereby reprogramming people into thinking america and it's invasions are fundamentally better, it would still not actually be doing such a good job of it. If universities had the problem of people blocking black or trans students from accessing certain areas, they would treat those people worse than the people being anti-semitic. The truth is, most university professors and most of the online left are anti-Israel. We can take an example of the mainstream being in favor of something e.g. "Russia is losing" then compare it to this situation, and the mainstream's support for Israel pales in comparison. There can be support for Israel on one side, so that the US looks good because of it's support for it, but on the other hand, there is no reason for a power to not capitalize on it's ability to 1. make it so that the people who are anti-Israel are hating on Israel itself to a much greater extent than the support for Israel from the US and 2. make it so that invasions done by other countries appear intrinsically worse, increasing support for US imperialism as the only moral kind. Now, just to make it clear, I meant that Hamas can easily push the buttons of the mainstream and the UN into demonizing Israel e.g. by using human shields and of course with the oct 7th attack itself, not that Hamas is the more powerful party when it comes to their relation with those parties.

The crux of the issue is that everyone uses force and is self-biased but people focus on Israel because the mainstream has re-programmed you. If your focus is practicality, then it's justifiable to focus on israel, obviously, because the settler colonialism is currently happening. But if your focus is on morality then the united states was way worse to the natives, lied to them a million times then killed them etc. and those natives didn't believe in a fairy tale which told them they will go to heaven if they cull non-believers. It's Hamas telling you (through their actions) that the UN and western mainstream has extreme double standards and they are willing to exploit this to the fullest, very likely considering it their best weapon.

It's one tool to get through a difficult work to get a grasp on it before doing the slower and ACTUAL reading but not more. If you want to improve on this, what you do is you accept that other parts of your brain don't catch up. You can also speed-skim the text instead if you're doing this technique. I wouldn't worry much about it and wouldn't engage in it. If you're doing 200 WPM+ you're likely, without exaggeration, literally missing out on the book that you are reading. 300 WPM+ is utterly missing out on the book, other parts of your brain just don't catch up, it's the definition of going into one ear and out the other. Let alone if it's an especially difficult work. If it's a fiction book that isn't that dense and you are feeling like going faster, then 160 or so is acceptable. When someone says "I read 20 books this year." the chances are they didn't. They got a reading list and wanted to tick things off because this made them feel like a successful, educated individual. But this doesn't avail anything in the end.

Think of the premise for the world. We have humans, we have 2 biological sexes and they can do an activity which brings them pleasure. Other activities that bring pleasure such as food and masturbation are done constantly, people can get addicted to them. Millions of years of evolution have been spent programming females into wanting a man who genetically signals success with things like looks. This is tied to survival. You got those premises? Good. Now imagine the result being a world where to attain this, people commit rape, exchange career opportunities, have organized human trafficking and even circles where men are given access to women who are presumably either doing it for money or are brainwashed into submission. Why don't they just use regular means to attain sex? You'd think it follows that even a 3/10 guy would have some qualities which would sexually arouse girls and make him good enough for casual sex. Not for a long term relationship, but certainly for casual sex. But the truth is the extreme opposite. Why?

The guy who looks like he has no chance is here to persevere and YES he is here to get brain-damage, that is his own choice that he signed up for when he started practicing fighting sports. Someone who chose boxing as a highly serious career choice (AKA a highly non-casual one), and who is about to persevere despite the opponent being much better, should not be discouraged, especially if they want to. If you think they should be, you're somewhat against boxing/MMA in general which is a completely different topic. But you should very likely do training and friendly sparring if you get the opportunity for self-defense reasons.

Women don't think the same as you. Their approach to sex and relationships is gamified. Of course they aren't the same as you AKA wanting to have more sex. If that was the case, they would approach you, just like has happened and will happen with, let's say, an Australian or UK girl, it's completely effortless to get women from countries in which they have an actual sex drive. They think of it as a game because when something has practically infinite demand and nearly zero supply, then the person who provides it gets to be paid a lot. A girl should be fully aware that a guy has zero opportunities and therefore knows that the guy is much more likely to put up with her even if her personality is a 0/10. Why? Because that guy could be an 8/10 and could be obsessed over deeply by a girl, but then he himself goes on to approach some girl on the street 3 years later and what happens? He gets arrested after being harshly rejected and humiliated. She is fully aware of the low sex drive, extreme aversion to sex and lack of opportunities caused by her fellow girls.
