  1. Anyway, time compression and expansion is a phenomenon that I have experienced. And I have heard that the colors we perceive are everything under the rainbow but that particular color, not sure how that works. I do hear you though, very interesting. I get the intuition? at times that everything has already happened ?
  2. Infinity is only possible if there is a finite number. Without a finite number, infinity would have nothing to stand on. Or, something always needs nothing. Absolute nothing is impossible to imagine, because we are something. Infinity is the same principle, needing the finite to exist. Every room can be filled or the finite would collapse inward and become infinitely small filling every room. Or the rooms could become infinitely large always making more room for the finite. Get on the bus, and don't stop!
  3. I like to put on some good music with awesome vibes, and just relax in that space, simple-awareness. Love saturates time and space... meditation is good too let's not forget. Centering...
  4. Ok, thanks for the insight. I think I'm permanently stoned now. I forget what normality was.
  5. Psychedelics can alter consciousness in a profound way when one takes a large dose. Many know this. However, it's a temporary shift in awareness that can be so earth-shattering that you don't want to come down or back to baseline. Been there, and then spent the rest of my days in awe and gratitude for the insights. Am I enlightened, no, But I have had some very profound experiences. And what I experienced rings true with many mystical teachers/writings I was reading at the time, when I did the mind expansion thing.
  6. That's the mystery about it, I guess we will know, or "not know" when we get there. Its deeper than knowing.. Many mystics that I have read, Christian and Otherwise all seem to point to the renunciation of the ego. And when we get there it's like an un-knowing. You don't attain the higher states until you relinquish the Ego self. Christ consciousness, God consciousness, or what have you. The Buddha nature? Some monks/nuns would prefer to remain in seclusion once they attained the higher states, however would come back to the world to instruct the many earnest seekers... it's all been said. There seems to be a unity in the mystical traditions that surpasses dogmatic teachings.
  7. A wise man/woman it was once said can not be disturbed but only disturbs. I see the ego like an onion that we peel away layer by layer, as we get to deeper layers more is revealed about the nature of the onion. I am the seer and the seeker all at once, the ground of consciousness. The onion has its place and one day is left behind. Just my 2 cents.
  8. Yes, exactly my view too. Love is not always about feeling good, although that is nice too. I will refrain from flogging myself.
  9. And what about Ayahuasca, I would brew my own from Syrian rue and Mimosa. Vine of the soul, nothing like it...DMT
  10. I did "Sid" as we called it back in the 70's. Purple micro dot was my favorite, very clean. Little body load, very cosmic, with lots of color and vibes. And clarity too, it was amazing in my books. Did some other blotters, not so clean, rather harsh, and a heavy mind load, perhaps set and setting, go figure. Later in my 30's/40's grew my own shrooms from spore syringes you could get online. Had some very awesome adventures, I love them in nature and grooved in the woods. Very earthy man! Now I can get LSD online, and you know, what do I do? Do I need to go back there, LOl..
  11. OK, I hear you, so then what is love, and why do we go to war? Could it be some kind of misunderstanding at times?
  12. I think therefore I am, or I am therefore I think. Synaptic semantics.... I am.
  13. Ops, my message got delayed, and missed the evolving thread. Never mind me... but scientists now are developing a new model of the atom. It's far more mysterious than once perceived. Consciousness ranks right up there.
  14. I have compulsive disorders and my son Is Autistic. We do work together well at times...
  15. I go to war with my son every now and again. I take into account his struggles, so he often wins. It's OK, I love him all the same..
  16. I'm in... just a small fish, however, who leads the pool. There is potential. I will try not to get hot-headed in traffic anymore!
  17. It seems to me that most wars are started by greed, religion, and converging populations into finite territory. Call that evolution if you will, how do we avoid it? Having a more enlightened approach to life could help. Look at our world, the power structures are shifting fast, I do hope we can manage our differences without another world war. Perhaps we will one day live on a planet that does not have war, it would truly be an enlightened society if that was ever possible... maybe this is why you say, war is good because it's a means to an end. Ugly road to be on...
  18. What is life if there is no tomorrow? The wall of death awaits us all. Some claim to have seen beyond however still a deep mystery to me. If there is nothing more then life is truly just a dream, who is the dreamer and what was love for? What is love without our goodness and something more transcended? War is awful, although it happens for its own reasons. Where do we draw the line between love and hate? Killing for our country. If my borders were attacked, I would have to go to war, for the love of my country!
  19. Anyway, don't quite know how to navigate the quote bar, some interesting points from everyone. Love, it is complicated. In the end, who benefits, I try to live with a loving heart, I benefit from having a loving heart, or so it seems to me. What about the "Golden Rule" do unto others as you would have done to you. In its simplicity it's good, but if you take a deep look at it, it's ridiculous.. Because my mind could be messed up. What I would consider good may not be good for you. Love is a response to the human condition. Not always black and white. Harden not your hearts, It makes sense to me, and will leave it at that.. peace.
  20. The individual vs. the collective, self-preservation vs. laying down one's life? enlightenment vs. ego drives? I keep asking my high-functioning Autistic son, what is love? He never cries, never seen him cry ever, he does laugh, however.... he never gives me an answer. I love him and would die for him and every day I do. Being there for the long haul type thing, love is more than happy feelings... he still lives with me. Our community supports him, there is love in action!
  21. Greetings All, my first post. Love is a good beginning. I like the notion I once heard of degrees of love. In the first degree, we learn to love and respect our own journey/self, however difficult that might be. As we come to terms with that we gain some wisdom and insight into our own being. Then we open up to higher states of love, loving others because we can see love working in us and through us. The highest state of love is universal love, unconditional love. Not unlike the love we feel for a child perhaps, or the sufferings of humanity. At any level, love is hard work, and we can be at any stage of the process, at any time, and yet such a blessing.. OK, please excuse my rantings..
