  1. half way through i realized i wasn't american which took me by surprise.
  2. The Druze are an Arab people, and they also live in Lebanon too. Obviously they weren't the target for that rocket. Extremely tragic. Prayers go out to the families and victims.
  3. That period saw occasional instances of violence but not enough to accurately be characterized as "eradication attempts"
  4. While the PLO did take up arms against Israel in 1948 (and why shouldn't they have? Israel went to Arab villages expelling Palestinians, the so-called "transfer of population". Again, I referenced to you before the Tantura documentary where the film makers dig up documents and even IDF veterans in the film testify the order from Ben Gurion to drive Arabs out. They even show a document where he ordered a report to find the best way to cover it all up. This despite Israel's propaganda that the Arabs willingly left because of orders from Arab leaders), they did recognize Israel's right to exist when it signed the Oslo accords, and while that recognition is now ambiguous, there is still support for a two-state solution so that demonstrates the acknowledgment of Israel's existence. If we are talking about the past, again the creation of the nation of Israel signaled the undeniable "transfer of population" of Arabs from the "Jewish homeland". There was reason for both to eradicate the other under the belief of "my land, you won't kick me out", "our land, we can't have you all be a part of it". But again, one side has shown recognition of Israel's right to exist before and demonstrated acknowledging Israel's existence via support of a two state solution. Israel on the other hand has never recognized Palestine's right to exist. In fact, Palestine doesn't exist. And Palestinians don't exist.
  5. ❤️❤️
  6. This is ISIS rhetoric. During the Syria war this is all ISIS sympathizers ever said. It was justified to kill innocent civilians from the opposing side because actually, what would you do? And, when they grow up they’ll kill us, so we have to kill all their children too. You want a source? Just trust me is my source. And it’s obvious why we’re acting this way, just look at our slaughter. Would you prefer your family to die or someone else? Stop acting like a saint, this is the real world (tm). Yea obviously I’m not making an equivalence between israel and isis, so don’t even bother wasting your time making an argument of that, however this is the exact same type of language from isis sympathizers. Which is to say, appealing to the same rationalizations for problematic killings. israel’s war isn’t just about attacking hamas, it’s also about collective punishment.
  7. dude where is @Danioover9000 how did we make it to page 4 without him making a remark
  8. Yes. In this war you mentioned, intellectual capital is why they were victorious. In terms of military support, they purchased limited military weapons from Czechoslovakia, so this was a transaction and not military aid, and that was it. Which is why its victory is remarkable.
  9. They came rich with intellectual capital, that wealth did not disappear. As for your Iran statement, who supports Iran?
  10. So you’re saying you’re not this hacker who’s been spying on Jordan Peterson’s desktop computer for the past decade? Disappointing.
  11. Is it accurate to characterize it as Christian beliefs? It seems like he probably believes the idea that much of the Bible arose from psychedelic experiences, and it’s to be taken metaphorically rather than literally. How much of that can be accurately characterized as Christian belief?
  12. Its a country that formed from a population already rich in success. Because of this, even if it had no adversaries, Israel would still be strong. Israel did not become strong, Israel was born strong.
  13. It’s odd that you mention survival, when your survival is not in jeopardy. The whole Iran, Houthi, Hezbollah drama is just a performance, like it’s always been. None of these groups have shown they are serious adversaries to the state of Israel to threaten its survival—Israel is armed with nuclear warheads and backed unconditionally by the worlds greatest superpower. The only real threat in terms of survival is the Palestinians. But obviously for you, appealing to an extremely unlikely and baseless hypothetical is convenient because its unfalsifiable.
  14. Yes, I’m interested.
  15. i think you nailed it
  16. Someone who shares your values and has a strong emphasis on commitment is a good starting point.
  17. Anyone know what happened to @Danioover9000? He's been MIA for some days now..
  18. I don't know about Russel Brand, but speaking from my own sexuality, finding men sexually attractive/arousing is impossible.
