  1. @Vasu Jaggi Tell us more. Did you used to care about things? What did you care about before? Are you taking drugs? What drugs? Drugs will do this to you. What are your ambitions? Hang in there. Be patient. It could take years of hibernation and incubation. Your journey may include a period of apathy or hibernation. So accept it. Trust your feelings and intuition or lack of feelings in this case. It could be depression or sociopathy. So see a doctor if necessary. Call a hotline. Get therapy. You sound like a normal 18 year old male. Teenage angst. Don't rush things. Give yourself and your plans double the amount of time and push back deadlines. Life is a game. But it is meant to be played.
  2. Agreed. But it is a weird paradox. I was too arrogant to heed any warning about psychedelics. I needed to get "calibrated" to reality and awakening. Each person has to learn the hard way. You gotta touch the fire and get burned. It is the Dunning-Kruger effect. You have to learn the limits of your body, mind, spirit, soul, etc. It is dangerous and scary. I really respect Leo for mentioning the risk of suicide in a few videos. Heavy stuff and heady stuff. Very strange. Advice falls on deaf ears.
  3. @Princess Arabia I think you are onto something. I suspect Scientologists believe this. There was a rumor Tom Cruise did not want Katie Holmes to cry during birth or didn't want the baby to cry. The pain or maternal hormones imprint on the child and set up genetics or a lifetime of hormone responses. I have heard mothers even try to control their emotions during the 9 months of gestation to keep the fetuses hormones balanced. it gets into doulas and underwater births and stuff. However I would say all is Hindu maya (illusion). So exploring this topic is just a distraction. But you may have inner work to do on your own birth. Or maybe you and your post are a projection of my mind and I am the one who needs to do inner work on my own birth. But you are correct as mom and baby are one being. And the microcosm reflects the macrocosm.
  4. When I have stress or anxiety it feels good to pray for help or peace or to pray for others when they are in trouble. But who am I praying to? Myself? If I pray, does it prove I still believe in duality and I am not a real solipsist? Is it a contradiction for a solipsist to pray? Do any of you pray? Did Buddha pray? Thanks.
  5. Lol! Nice call. I am old enough to recall enjoying this song when it was a hit.
  6. @Arthogaan Thanks for this response. That is what I needed to hear.
  7. Thanks for all the responses. I was feeling guilty when I pray. It felt inconsistent with non-duality. It felt like a contradiction. But of course posting here and reading your responses is also unusual if you are all me Lol! On my journey.
  8. Private message me if you can't post it. I'd like to hear it. Thanks. Is it more of a philosophy or an event or a personal experience or a theory?
  9. @Unlimited Sounds like disinformation. A psyop. Sounds like someone co-opting the main argument. Never argue with a fool. You will get sucked into their argument and they have you right where they want you. I would respond by smiling and silently moving on.
  10. I often feel this on large dose shrooms. I escape reality and I am desperate to be inserted back into reality. I fear being god and knowing I am god. Apparently I prefer this delusion of reality Lol! Being god feels like going insane.
  11. @ExplorerMystic Good point. I am implying more about struggling with feeling insane or sounding insane. Being worried. Being concerned. Being uncertain.
  12. Imagine having an awakening or mystical experience in 1990 or earlier. No internet. I guess we would turn to churches, monasteries, hippie communes, and cults. It's nice we all get to talk. Are we better off with the internet or would we make more progress finding other seekers in real life? Where would you be without the internet and this forum? I think it is helpful to chat with you all. Psychedelics are helpful too. Scary to go through this alone. But I guess the external world has always been a manifestation of my internal world all through the ages.
  13. Sorry for the confusion. I agree about god not enslaving us. I was just using a metaphor. The films are art and life imitates art and art imitates life. Very psychedelic.
  14. Howdy Your post assumes a god or designer who designed “the word” but left a flaw in which words are insufficient. In The Matrix the architect tried many times to solve the equation and eliminate Neo but there is a mysterious variable which cannot be resolved. So the architect allows the program to generate Neo as a paradox or chaos. So relating to your post this paradox manifests as the word being incapable of communicating that final variable or paradox. Words somehow being insufficient is a paradox of the purpose words are intended to serve. God created a flawed language just like the architect creates flawed Matrices. You gotta see all 3 Matrix films maybe.
  15. Suffering is the big blessing. Hindsight is 20/20. You don’t know what you got till it’s gone. So maybe we should be envious of those who get the worst suffering in this world. Famine, genocide, concentration camps, torture, etc. The rich and powerful are self deluded. The meek shall inherit the Earth.
  16. @StarStruck This is the whole fun of it. It is a Zen koan. It is the ineffable. It is like Neo in The Matrix. The machines can account for everything but there is always one tiny variable which they allow to manifest as Neo in every reincarnation of The Matrix. The universe wants to build a mirror to see itself. The hand trying to grasp itself. The word trying to speak itself and describe itself. It is all a paradox. I think Terrance McKenna and Noam Chomsky have each hypothesized that the base reality is language or math or information. It is "the word." It is all mind or consciousness. The first word or thought disrupts the silence.
  17. I have to concur. I have also intuited all this on shrooms and LSD. I got the cosmic joke. God (me) is alone. God has gone insane from his loneliness. God has spent eons looking for a friend or even a speck of dust which is not him. I felt all the reincarnations and eons and madness. An inescapable hell. A prison of mind. Euphoria and bliss become boring after eons. And god has killed himself infinite times. There is no solution. And there is a feeling I was begging to see the truth. And then I saw the truth and wished I could go back to living inside the dream. Ignorance in bliss. And there is a feeling of inevitable dominoes falling now that I learned this truth. Like Macbeth eventually killing his dad and sleeping with his mom. And I get the feeling I messed up this lifetime and mess it up every lifetime in every reincarnation. The purpose is to stay in the dream and not to wake up. But in a yin yang kinda way, the other side of the coin is god is happy and infinitely creative. And this life is beautiful. What is the link to this reddit post? Thanks. Be well. Be safe.
  18. Plato's theory of forms. There is the idea of a table in the carpenter's mind, the actual table, and a painting of the table. But there is no carpenter and no mind and no table. Only the idea of the table.
  19. I think we need concepts to communicate. So we use these words to express truth as best we can. Words like heaven, hell, god, reincarnation, etc are just shortcuts and short hand of language. I feel it is progress toward truth. Christians start out with god, heaven, and hell and then move on to reincarnation and eventually god realization. The dominoes must fall in sequence in their head to get to the ultimate truth.
  20. I think Leo and the animals are naked jungle friends. Animals do not have "concepts" like "beauty." But I think they do feel euphoria and bliss. Maybe awe and wonder. They have no language to think in.
  21. Howdy Animals already live in the now. Humans live in the past and future. Maybe we were more animal like in the garden of Eden. We think we are making civilized progress but maybe we are moving further from our goal. We were cast out of the garden. You can google video of a jaguar eating yage or ayuhausca. Or google animals getting high. Maybe catnip. I’m sure people get their pets high and scientists have done it. The animals seem to have the same experience as us. But they have no language to think in and no dogma or history. They have true ego death because they have no ego or they are their ego. No id or superego. Be well.
  22. @Someone here Howdy. Do you use substances? Which ones? When was the last time? Psychedelics can cause us to see signs everywhere.
  23. @StarStruck A few ways to look at other's suffering is maybe from some eternal angle they actually chose this reincarnation. Or maybe their experience is the most sought after. Maybe we should be jealous of those who experience the worst suffering. Or maybe it is their dharma and karma. I read "Man's Search for Meaning" by Victor Frankl. A pretty good book about Jews in concentration camps. You must find meaning in spite of suffering. You can survive any "how" if you have a good "why."
  24. Life is a filter and suffering is a filter. Like gold and river sand being sorted. When you learn some lessons or resolve your karma you become the gold. You have a long way to go if you think you have “options.” Be well.
  25. I'm too lazy to read this whole thread. But if you do ketamine you see how your consciousness can disassociate from your body and merge with materials around you. I have experienced this and have read many trip reports stating the same. So I suspect we don't die and just return to the source or void or the collective consciousness. Suicide doesn't work either. You can kill this body but you cannot kill your true self. We are eternal. That is my hunch anyway.
