  1. @cetus56 Yeah but it'd be going a little too off-topic. The aim is therapeutic use of psychedelics. I'd rather focus on academic evidence of the treatment of depression and other disorders, and substance abuse. I already stumbled upon some good things, so I'm all set I feel :-) But thanks everyone for help, I found some great useful things through all of your guyses resources.
  2. @cetus56 This is good stuff, thanks!
  3. I was not familiar with him. He looks very interesting but I am kind of limited by being able to use strictly academic research material. Quite a shame. I am aware how many jewels especially for psychedelics are out there. ed: It is quite unfortunate, just to mention, that the entire scientific paradigm gets blown up by psychedelic experiences, yet the academic material is a really pathetic grain of sand of the ocean psychedelics have to offer. Better yet, the research was gaining on potency in the 1960s, and then Nixon said "yeah fuck you! " :D, and wiped the ground with it, leaving us 40 years behind. Just imagine the potential if the research from the 1960s was allowed to flower. Where would today's mental health field be with that! Surely there would be an alternative to today's crisis. And that is only a beginning. Imagine the ripple effects in other areas. If psychedelics weren't stigmatized, just imagine culture, religion, politics... all of this would have been potentially long reformed. Now we are 40 years behind! Guys, this is serious business! Get your mushroom teas asap! (Im joking of course... but I couldn't help myself but leave a little comment about that :-p )
  4. @Nahm thank you, as much as I love tea, have not.
  5. @Iksander Dont worry about analyzing it too much. Its quite alright not to know what exactly is going on. Unless it gets of course unbearable but it doesn’t sound like that from your description. These things will happen and sometimes it will make total sense, and sometimes it won’t. And that’s great. It is an invitation to cultivate faith that thw potential of your counsciousness is being fulfilled.
  6. @Iksander congratulations on your experience. It doesn’t sound like kundalini awoke. If it did: 1. Do you feel energy movement throughout your body 24/7? 2. Does this energy feel like a light orgasm? Kundalini awakening is a permanent change within your nervous system and a start of an irreversible proggressive ego anihilation. What yours sounds like is a one-time energetic release.
  7. @egoless sounds like a great way to make empowered choices :).
  8. @Shiva You could say that, and I understand that it might not take away the urgency of the matter. Yet if we look at it closer, ego is only fear disguised as practicality. :-) Im not saying don't be practical, I am saying the opposite. If you need a job to feed yourself, get a job. Yet how many times do we fear of not having enough to sustain ourselves, when in actuality we have always had enough. How many times are we consumed by fear of running out of resources, while still having enough in our bank-account. If you've always had enough, and made it this far, what makes us think that we will not have enough in the future, unless we do these things called "practicalities", which is only our fear running our lives, disguised as "smart decisions". And yet again, these smart decisions are only there to help us uncover the disguise the fear is wearing, to find abundance in every breath and every moment. This is only how I approach my life. I know it works, because it works for me. But there is an infinite amount of perspectives, none of which are wrong.
  9. @egoless Also I am not encouraging you not to go in the direction of things that feel good to you. Yet the things we try to escape and stay away from are the same One we are! :-) All the unconscious people... God All the mainstream nonsense... God All the quite disgusting fast-food... God All the nonsense in the News... God OMG the garbage in politics... God Yet it is worth mentioning that all the things you mentioned (Minimalism, sustainable energy, freelancing...) is the One god as well, and yet if we try to access these things, that might or might not resonate with each of us, in a stage of our journey we are not ready for, it can only lead to another relapse. (I wrote this before you replied to me, let me engage that as well :p) God God God Before you get knowledge of your True self? You mean God right??? The same God that is all of the above . :-)
  10. @egoless I totally get your concern, however let me suggest to you a perspective that I hold, and has been quite transformative, and has turned any conflicts I had with my life, into the greatest benefit I could ever ask for. What about, we looked at our lives, instead of "how to shift this to be more spiritual" from a perspective grounded in the eternal Truth of existence. Everything is god, and my life, is a play of form, only designed, to bring forth my highest destiny. Everything is here to help me to achieve my highest potential, for it is created from the same one that is the God that I am. My desires, and my wellbeing, is the universes highest desire. So instead of trying to get life to give me the things that I think that I want, we asked "What does life want from me, so my and life's desires, can become one." What does the 9-5 job want from me? What does the addiction that is the same god that I am, teach me in every moment? What does the heart-break, that I do not enjoy, bring forth in me, so it can be healed, for my highest destiny, as the god that I am, for the wellbeing of all. Doesn't that make more sense?
  11. @rogi 97 Happy to see more people sharing Matt on this forum! :-) Its about time haha.
  12. @OBEler It's pointless to try to force kundalini awakening. It will happen when you're ready. Also, if you think you desire kundalini, you probably have no idea what you're getting yourself into.
  13. @JustinS you have awakened kundalini. The implications of this are for example that regular spiritual practices (self-enquiry,...), won't do any good. Te pandora's box had been opened, now it's time for god to work his magic. there's some nice info in this thread on kundalini.
  14. @Richard Alpert if you feel it daily throughout the day your kundalini is awakened. If it was just a one-time(usually matter of minutes) thing, it doesn't have much meaning.
  15. If you have kundalini congrats! Its basically a guaranteed path to love and bliss. You just need to survive the dark night.
  16. First year and a half of my kundalini I had a daily meditation practice (Didnt have one prior to that). Especially last 6-7 months, I used to do a lot of Strong determination sitting. And it used to be quite helpful... calmed my mind, kundalini had a better flow... (except for a short period whne my dark-night began, around 6 months from the beginning... thats a funny story. For the first time I became conscious of my shadow and honest to god I thought I had schizophrenia... I went to therapy and that helped me sort my thoughs out). And then, I remember that clearly, one day It stopped feeling relevant at all. It didnt do anything for me. It felt like a waste of time. So I stopped the daily practice and started meditating only when I felt like it, + I did inner child work. After some time I found Matt Kahn and he brought a lot of clarity, and a clear practice of loving myself. Actually just a few weeks ago, I felt really inspired to meditate... so I put on some binaural beats, sat down on my bed, and dove right into it. And it was the most peaceful Id felt in a long time. And I felt like I could let go completely and let myself dissolve. And suddenly, when I let go, my body went "NO!" Opened my eyes, reached for my phone, and started distracting myself. And I got it. My body just wanted to heal itself, before allowing me to awaken. If I forced myself to meditate too much it'd disrespectful to the body's healing journey, so I just let it heal on it's terms (btw there's a Matt's video ok this topic... very beautiful). Sorry for such a long answer... just felt like sharing much love
  17. @Nahm Oh, do you have an active kundalini ? side note: breath is nice, but it doesn't take the pain away. It just gives you patience to give it the honor it deserves.
  18. @Nahm WIth kundalini there is a level of getting triggered, where no amount of shifting perspective and understanding will take you out of your excruciating pain.
  19. @ThirdEyeSees This is a funny scenario, on the topic of open-mindedness. There is raging divine energy within your body destroying all the fragments of your ego-structure, giving you full body orgasms, making your life into a non-stop psychadelic trip, giving you unexplainable physical symptoms, hallucinations, dark night of the soul, negative thoughts. And I just decide that I will be closed-minded, and go to a doctor to get some pills to stop that shit from happening =D.
