I'm 53, I have done 5meo a good bunch of times, including big doses in buffo ceremonies in mexico and texas. It seems to me like you had a peek into the source, and you ran with a full story of your interpretation, convincing yourself that you figured it out. It sounds like a dangerous way to operate ("That's it, I'm enlightened"). Keep your curiosity and be ready for more changes of mind in life. Maybe we're not meant to "figure it out", maybe we're meant to trust the process.

Hi all, I’m using a vapor genie (full glass). It works well for dmt, but not so well for 5meo dmt. I find it difficult to get consistent results. i’ve tried with a simple glass pipe as well and I couldn’t get any effect from it (plus it’s horrible on the throat). Maybe I don’t put enough? Somewhere around 12 mg, using microscoops so it’s hard to know. any advice would be great

@Thought Art man… you were right! kinda… the mystery is solved: it was what they call Fumarate. So I assume similar to CHL? But def not freebase, which would explain why my results have been so variable and frustrating.

I tried with a ecplise vape kit. i put around 15mg With a torch. I think I burnt it, it became like a brown liquid I kept heating it, hoping to see a white smoke, but it mostly caramelized. Then I took a long slow inhale of it, and kept it in for like 40 sec. it definitely took me to heavy breathing levels, and feeling very emotional, but it felt like a mini mini dose of buffo if I had to compare. So… I guess I’m still doing it wrong?

wow! So… my new batch work. I just bought it again. It worked extremely well. I had to change my way of doing it. For dmt I slowly heat the glass top with a mini torch, indirectly, not hitting the ceramic. Then pull three long slow hits. totally different method for 5meodmt. I use a normal lighter, and placed it on the ceramic, inhaling strong hits until it started to produce a crazy thick smoke, then I took a huge hit and held it. That got me. Now I should try my previous batch again, and see it if it works. Only complaint compare to Buffo: it tastes like burnt plastic. Is it people’s experience too?

I am puzzled: i’ve done the toad 6 times (the venom), in a ceremonial context, so I know very well the effect. I bought 1g of 5meodmt about 2 months ago. Opened the little plastic bag, instantly recognized the smell. I tried a baby dose, just to see if it works, using a vapor genie glass pipe. Maybe 5mg: yes, totally worked. A month and a half later, tried again, this time no smell, no taste, zero effect. Tried a bigger dose, different pipes, nothing… I thought maybe it went bad, so I ordered some more: received it today: no smell… I haven’t tried to smoke this one yet but I don’t understand what’s going on with my 5meo: Am I doing it wrong? Do I burn it, did I get lucky the first time? Did my batch go bad? Does the smell go away after a few weeks? Why is it so finicky? I ordered another 5-6 substances from the same source and everything else is top quality

@Lynx well… I’m glad I’m not the only one, but hopefully we figure it out. i’ve tried up to 15mg, which is huge for synthetic, it would be the equivalent of 130mg of real buffo. First and only time it worked was with the vapor genie, then 6 weeks later, the same powder just never worked again: 5, 10, 15, vapor genie, simple glass pipe: nothing, no flavor, zero effect. As if the universe told me to not do it. Really disturbing. Anyway, I now have a new batch. Haven’t tried it yet, because I’m not in the headspace for that, but I will let you know if it works. It’s one of the 3 reasons: 1/I keep getting it wrong, burning it, or whatever, so I got really lucky the first time (I doubt it) 2/the 5meo freebase went bad (the chemist who made it said it’s extremely unlikely, he said it can lose scent, but it can’t lose potency) 3/the universe is trying to tell me to not do it. I mean… I’m open minded, but that seems hard to believe too. so I’m puzzled. i’d be happy to send some to someone who is 100% good at it to see if it works for them.

I come late to the party, but I have the EXACT same experience as you. I don’t see any common grounds between 5meodmt and 5meomalt. For me: The toad is mind shattering and enlightening, a once a year thing (done is 6 times myself anywhere between 60mg and 115mg), whereas 5meomalt feels like a cousin of MDMA to me, puts me on the emotional and sexual edge, without any crash

5meo dmt shoots me into nothingness, it crushes me into full submission, then I reborn, then I cry and laugh, then I feel one with the world and I love life. 5meomalt doesn’t do any of that to me: it feels like MDMA on steroids, a feeling of love that is so overwhelming that I want to cry, but also, if you allow it to let it be erotic, it’s extremely powerful and arousing. I’d have to mention that I smoke 5meoDmT (100mg freebase of the real toad venom) whereas I do 5meomalt sublingual (50mg salt). I’ve done the toad 6 times, malt 10 times. 2 very, very different chemicals for me, which is why I don’t understand why people often describe Malt as a feminine version of toad.

Vlad, I have exactly the same effect but with 5meo malt. So much that I worry for my neighbors if I was to try a bigger dose.

I typically take it sublingual. It burns a bit, but it’s ok, I keep it under the tongue for 10min and then I spit the built up saliva. for me it’s a good compromise, since snorting burns way too much, and plugging is vaguely inconvenient while leading to similar effect for me.

Ginger worked like a charm. This time I did 25mg sublingual and I cried and laughed a lot. Then I was feeling like a million bucks. Anything more than 25mg would probably be too much, but I might try the way I did sublingual was to hold it for 15min and then I spat all the built up saliva after 15min. it’s incredibly bitter and it had a “burning” sensation. am I supposed to wait that long before spitting? Am I supposed to spit it?

So glad I found this community. For context, I have done the Toad (also referred to as Buffo, or 5meo dmt) 6 times anywhere from 60 to 115mg, always in a ceremonial environment, Ayahuasca 5 times, and shrooms many times (my typical dose is 4g). I was very excited and curious to try 5meo Malt since the Toad is my absolute favorite and everybody seems to say they are very similar but Malt being more gentle. The Toad for me is always in a ceremonial environment, inhaled with a glass pipe, it shoots me to space, feels sudden and scary, I pass out, then I wake up crying and laughing and feeling the best, full of joy and love, wondering what just happened to me, having a vague feeling that I was in contact with god or the universe who showed me some profound message and reassured me everything is exactly how it should be. I never felt nauseous or stomach upset on it, then I’m calm for 2 days like I received the best massage for the soul. Back to Malt: Yesterday I plugged 12-20mg, HCL, white fine powder, tested negative for fentanyl, the scent reminds me of the Toad, I can’t wait to start. I was with 2 friends: one snorted 12-20mg, the other one snorted 6-10mg. It’s such a tiny amount of powder, I’m wondering if I will even feel anything. -as soon as I was done plugging, I felt a discomfort in my butt, like I wanted to fart. Of course, I held it in. -15 min in, I was really feeling like I had diarrhea. I had to breath through it, it was uncomfortable, it also came with feelings of nausea -30min in I feel warm, the upset stomach and nausea are milder, but still there. I start to feel very similar to how I feel in MDMA: my sense are heightened, I’m a little more jittery like on caffeine. -my friends report similar feelings, less nausea, but they have it too -45min-1:15 is what I would imagine is my peek. A surge of emotions, close to no visual, some occasional white/purple tunnels and distortions when I close my eyes. I wish my friends were not around, they’re talking and it’s distracting, they already cane down. I feel the warmth and love of my mother (that I lost when I was 13), I don’t know if I’m crying or laughing, it’s the moment that feels the most like the Toad. One of my friends is sitting next to me, she realizes I’m having a moment, I take her hand, put it on my chest, it feels loving, so I keep going with my emotions, I enjoy the ride -for the next hour or so, I’m feeling pretty happy and warm, but also physically hot, a bit of that vibrating/jittery feeling one experiences on shrooms or lsd, which I never have on the Toad. So my experience had a bit of similarities with the toad emotionally maybe, but everything else was more uncomfortable and felt like a upper, maybe because of the way of administration? Maybe because the dosage was too low? But if so I worry about increasing the dosage given how nauseous and upset was my stomach, maybe because I was doing it with 2 other people so it was distracting? Any advice is welcome i want to try again in one week. Alone this time, with a playlist and a bigger dose, maybe 30mg. is there something I can take beforehand to curb that upset stomach and nausea feeling?

Here is my second attempt on 5meo Malt. The first time was about 15mg plugged, I reported a very uncomfortable feeling of upset stomach, and feeling of being emotional, a bit like MDMA, with a bit of sexual vibe. There were 2 friends with me. It lasted about 2 hours maybe. I clearly didn’t take enough, but it was my first time, and the upset stomach was really bad. Anyway, onto the second time: This time I tried alone, on a saturday at 10:30am, sublingual 20mg, but I also chewed some fresh ginger 30 min before starting. Glad to report that I had no upset stomach nor nausea this time or almost none. Is it the ginger? Is it the sublingual method? Or maybe I was less scared this time? Not sure. Anyway, it tastes extremely bitter, I kept it under the tongue without swallowing for 15 min while the saliva was building up. I spat after 15 min. 15 min later (0+30 min), the feeling of tingles and elevated energy started, like last time, very emotional, somewhere between laughing and crying, but this time, the sexual vibe is very elevated, like way too much if you see what I mean. No visual, just pure emotions, I went to bed, put on the latest album of DM, closed my eyes, and was in that cry/joy state for about 30-40 min, then I fully came down, except for a feeling of being high on caffeine. It was really good overall, safe but short. I the would describe my 2 experience to be similar to an MDMA trip but more on the sexual vibe, and lasting just an hour and no come down… I mean, many would see this as a win ? . As Leo told me last time, I probably didn’t take enough once again… but I was afraid because of the upset stomach feeling from last time snd the change from plugging to sublingual. Also this sexual vibe is a bit of a surprise and I don’t know if I could handle a doubled dose of that. Any insight from others would be great here including re the sexual part: does it go away at higher doses?

Hi all, sorry if some of these questions have been already asked a thousand time. I just received 500mg of Meo-Malt. I’m very excited about it, but I have a few questions first. I have done Buffo 6 times (5meo Dmt), anywhere between 60mg to 115mg, always in a ceremonial environment, so it’s my first time doing 5meo malt, but also my first time doing something that strong not in a ceremonial environment. 1/What it looks like. I received the HCI version. It’s pure white and extremely fine. I keep reading it should be brown and not that fine, so hopefully it’s still ok. The scent definitely reminds me of Buffo. Has anyone seen Malt like this before? 2/method… -Smoking? I’ve read that smoking it is not the great way. It’s the only way I’ve done Buffo so far, but since my Malt is a white fine powder, I don’t know if it would work. Leo says it’s very harsh on the throat. -plugging? If I have to, I will -snorting? I typically hate to snort things, but given how fine is the powder and since we’re talking about tiny amounts, it might be doable? Leo also describes it as more “erotic”, which doesn’t sound bad 3/Dosage Given my prior experience with Buffo, should I go directly to 10-15 mg? Or should I start with 5-10 like people typically suggest? Also, should I put more when plugging than when snorting or smoking? 4/doing it alone or with people is it typically something you’d do on your own even the first time? Or is it safer to find another like minded friend with similar level of experience to be around when I do it, just in case something goes wrong?

Ooh also, anyone knows if sublingual would work? If so it would probably be my most comfortable way to take it. But here too I don’t know how it affects dosage.
